  1. That sounds WAY high. My house is almost 3300sq/ft + a large basement. We put in a new 5-ton heat pump (which is more expensive than just an A/C unit), plus all lines and condensor had to be replaced as well, and filled with Puron. All done for $3200 installed, after tax. That's also for the best unit Carrier sells. $3800 for just an A/C unit for a home I am guessing is smaller than mine, is highway robbery, no other word for it.
  2. FYI, that's a 305ci SBC. The crappy motor they put in the 3rd gen F-bodys. Seems to be a bit more successful on boats.....
  3. No one wants your shitty Snow Leopard, which is also vunerable to viruses as well. Only thing Snow Leopard is good for is Boot Camp, so you can put a decent OS on the overpriced machine.
  4. A lot of vehicles don't have anything other than the stock housing option. It wasn't hard to adjust down the headlights. Truck has had them for years without complaints from other drivers.
  5. That's a girl vehicle. Seriously.
  6. I am running behind re-assembling the tranny on my riding lawn mower, so I am going out tomorrow - O'Shaughnessey for some boarding. I'm too sore from going out on Monday anyway, so I don't mind a day more of rest. Good evening for boating though...I'm sweating by balls off in the garage!
  7. From the way you describe it, something isn't quite right. TW doesn't disable the other audio outputs when HDMI is used (at least the optical output isn't disabled - I know this for a fact; I've never tested the other outputs because you should only be using the optical output anyway). I know WOW doesn't disable any of the outputs when HDMI is connected - I've tested that. It would be pretty stupid for the All-In-One to disable its inputs if the HDMI output is connected, as that would really reduce most of its functionality, so I doubt that is the case.
  8. There are so many different flavors of 4.3L motor, you really should narrow it down a bit further.
  9. No Highs? No Lows? Must be Bose.
  10. Wife has an 06 A4 2.0T Quattro Auto. Oil changes are far harder/more expensive than they should be. Stock tires lasted until about 40k-ish miles. Battery died this past winter = $110 for a cheapie. Nothing else has ever been done to the car. No issues whatsoever. The 2.0T cars all seem to idle a bit rough (we drove a bunch when she bought her car a couple years ago). Rides well, and does well in the winter. Not very fast, but peppy enough for my wife.
  11. You have a cable going from the bottom of the TV straight down to the floor. Secure that cable behind the TV, and have it go down behind your shelving like the rest of the cables. From there, zip-tie everything else. It will look a lot better tied together. I was forced to do that at our condo due to the location of our TV and speakers (no way to in-wall wire it, otherwise I would have), and this helped hide the wiring some. You could also fish the wires under the carpet, but I'm not sure if you want to go that far or not. If you eventually decide to invest the time into doing all in-wall wiring, the wallplates are all fairly cheap and easy to get @ monoprice. I still need to do HDMI plates and a splitter to feed our living room equipment to the master bedroom TV.
  12. Like Jason said, just get a permit on your way down there...plenty of places sell them.
  13. Cops say a lot of things, but the courts don't necessarily back them up. So what idiot got caught street racing?
  14. You could easily hide what some of those cables in a couple of minutes. Make the ones coming from the TV go to the right behind the TV, then down with the rest of your cables. Then take that bundle and zip-tie it.
  15. Ehh, I'm not digging the slider deal. I might consider this one, though it looks a bit bulky. Hell no. Saw that at AT&T - didn't like it. All of those Carbon Fiber deals are the same - they offer no real protection where you need it - the front of the phone. This may be the winner...I will have to take a look at some more pics online. Any place locally sell it?
  16. That is just stupid. The Japanese are weird. Probably uses that car to drive to the panty vending machine.
  17. I very much do NOT want to be that guy's neighbor.
  18. I bet they can if you have your own software. I use both LT1_Edit and Tunercat. Monitor everything with Datamaster EE Beta.
  19. Fireworks were pretty sweet - we had a pretty good spot to watch them. Tons of boats as usual. A bit more chilly than I would have liked, and tards at the ramp are the only thing that weren't great about last night.
  20. That's where I got my Otterbox (they gave us $100 in accessories for free). I thought most of their cases were garbage. The Otterbox was the best of what they had.
  21. Pay them 100% of what is owed, if they send you, in writing, documentation that all of this will be fully removed from your credit report. Otherwise, I'd tell them to piss off, as that settlement will look pretty much as bad as not paying it at all. But how the heck does it go from forgetting one payment to going to collections? I am sure they sent a 2nd and likely 3rd bill / notice about what you owe them.
  22. Umm, yeah, I don't buy that article for a second. He had a prenup. And a pretty decent one from what I heard.
