HIDs use less wattage except on "start-up". But yes you will have some increase glare installing them in a stock housing. I plan on getting some for my tC at some point.

I seriously considered a Sky before my Scion but I'm not a huge soft top convertable fan. They do look sweet though. (never thought I'd say that about a saturn!)

Yeah anywhere downtown sucks. Most of the roads north of the city are OK. Some of the off ramps are really bad. Going to and from work I drive about 80 and I still get passed by everyone. I love having no front plate too.

I disagree. UNOH got me in the door to one the hardest industries to get into.

I have a high performance automotive technology degree. I'm a valvetrain dynamics lab tech for a valve spring company. I do all the R&D work. It's a really good job and I started at 51k a year. But I also graduated with a 3.9 gpa and did a lot of networking in college.

Not as great as you would think. I averaged 33 mpg on the way to C-bus Friday. Around town my driving style wastes a lot of fuel Gas prices weren't really a factor in my decision to buy it. I was looking for the most car for the money and the Scion offers a lot for under 20 grand. I also looked at the new civic, GTI (nice!), mazda 3 and looked into leasing a luxury car like a 3 series, A4, C230 but my commute sucks up to many miles. I'm glad I bought in the end instead of leasing.

I finally got some pictures of my graduation/getting a real job present to myself. Only accessories I added was stainless doors sills and rear lip spoiler. It's my first brand new car that I've bought by myself. I've already ordered short shifter and TRD springs/Struts. I plan to do some autocrossing with it next year. No other mods will be done. Maybe sway bars but I don't want to touch the engine. In fact I haven't even popped the hood yet. It's really slow, but good on gas and has a shit ton of standard equipment. THe other day I was kinda thinking about some of the other founding members and wondering where they are today. Some of us were still in high school when CR started and now have gone on to college and even careers. So if you're an OG post up what you drove and what you were doing when you signed up compared to today. I was a junior in high school. I drove a 2000 Grand Am. Back then I knew little about cars and wasted a lot of money on them. Had a good time though hanging out with everyone on CR back then. Now I've graduated college. I live north of Detroit and run a valvetrain dynamics lab for a company that makes valve springs. I drive a 2007 Scion TC and still the mkIII supra. Although the engine is built and waiting on a stand to be put in a different body.
