  1. Very cool! It is a fun car to work on.

Went to the track and embarrassed myself.

I think I need the driver mod first. Massive wheel hop all through 1st and 2nd. It actually hooks way better on the street.

Best pass was my first in the heat.

    13.6 @ 110

    2.4 60 ft. Haha.

Mph is decent for the heat, but there no way I'm hooking the stock tires.

I did destroy a stockish ls1 gto. He trapped like 103. Had to chase him down after I was done hopping.

  2. what kinda credit/income do you need for an Amex Black Card?

I worked at Trek Store of Cols a few yrs ago and ran one through the machine for a bike some guy was purchasing. I think the card is titanium coated in black coating. Shit barely fit through the swiper.

You probably have to be a amex customer already and meet certain monthly spending criteria. Say 20k a month. Idk what it really is. They don't want to give out black cards to people who won't use it even it you have a high credit score and income.

  3. That is definitely a valid concern. The good thing about the first model year is that after the first year, manufacturers start looking for ways to cut production costs.

The car tuned feels like a completely different car and is a ton of fun to drive. The more I drive it, the more I enjoy it. I see you are in NC. I have a friend that owns a shop in Conover that could help you out if you ever did decide to do a tune.

When I do start messing with it (2-3 years), i'll probably be doing my own tuning on our chassis dyno at work.

  4. Cleaned out the garage. All tucked in for the night. Car got a lot of positive comments at cars and coffee. Even the 5th gen camaro guys liked it.

  5. Do you have some affiliation / employed by Ford ?

    Yeah. Ford racing.

Some interior pics. I know most like the black interior, but i wanted something light. It doesn't get too hot.

  6. I might just own another one sometime too. I've always had my heart set on a C6/Vette, but the mustang does allow for a family of four to take a ride together. Especially cool since it can be done without a top too.

Do your kids have legs? If so that might be a problem.

  7. Love the color combo. I just took delivery of my first Ford and must say, while I wish it was a 5.0 Mustang, I'm still very impressed with how far Ford has come. Mine is an auto as you can see by the sig. Under full throttle, it shifts so smooth it's like a CVT.

Wish the dark blue like yours was an option on mine.

Fusions are great cars also. Thanks for buying a Ford.

    Hopefully those show up.

I'll get some better pics tomorrow. These were just with my cell phone.

  9. Keep dreaming, unless it is tied into some deal with a builder, or paying points.

We were happy to get fixed 4.85% 30 year loan a year ago (pretty much exactly a year at this point). And that was a full-on conventional loan, 20% down, and VERY good credit. No points or anything like that.

I got 4.25 in may last year. No points either. 30 year fixed. Broker said only a couple people got locked in at that rate and I was lucky.

  10. I can't believe how dumb people are with money. It's all common sense. Most people don't have enough self control. I have multiple credit cards that I use to buy everything. For the same reasons as Mallard. To get the points. They get paid off completely every month. Nothing carries over. Other than that I have a small car note and a small mortgage. I bought a car and house that were well within my means. I could still pay for everything if I suddenly had to live on half my salary. First thing I did after buying a house was to start building my emergency fund again. Before I bought my house it felt so good to have 40k in the bank and felt very scary when I spent it all on the house and didn't have much for the first few months. Now I have about 4 months in the bank. I'm also maxing out my 401k with the amount my employer matches. It's free money. I also still spend quite a bit, but I make sure I can afford it up front. All of these things are common sense though.
