Before you buy a boat, just get this in your head. All boats are piles of junk. No matter what you buy, they all suck. Once you understand that then you can go about finding a boat. If you ever had to take one apart you will understand why I say this in the first place. Most boats outdrive style will have a alpha one drive, which suck ass to begin with, unless your motor makes 330 hp or more. Then you will be in a bravo drive, alittel stronger, still junk. Motors are typically identical to car/truck motor with most bottom ends being forged and a more torque'ier camshaft. If you get something new they are typically are gonna be f/i but most are carbed. If you get one with some hours on it, plan on having to rebuild the motor at some point unless you are very easy on it. Jet drive boats are decent, but if something breaks, then you are stuck getting all the parts from a marina or a dealer. Most typical outdrive boats will have motor parts available at autozone as posted they are alot like car/truck motors. I would not get anything smaller then a 19'. It will be a rough ride if you do. The rest is personal preference.

Putting the boat motor together. Its basically just putting in the cam and heads and oil pump, pan on. I was just testing this option out on the go pro. Gonna make another one with more pics. This is 115 pics on this one.

This is exactly the truth. Linns boat will run 10x better in chop and will be able to run all out in it. In smooth water hp to hp my boat will be alittle faster as mentioned above. The other difference is Linns boat would be a boat that could be slept in all weekend. Technically you can in mine but linns has 2x the amount of room and would be alot more comfortable. Anything else is just boating. There isnt much difference in any other boat then what was posted here.

If I can get the motor built, dropped in, wired and the outdrive installed all tomorrow night and get it running correctly then I will be in to get some hours on the motor if not I will be in for the next one. No need for a pic of my boat cause it will be miles aheads of your ski Paul

Typically the higher the number, the more top speed you will get if you got enough power to turn it. The lower the number, the more jump out of the hole you will get but lose some speed. Then there is 4 blades and 3 blades. Cleaver style and round ears. Its goes on

Anyone got a 23-24 pitch 3 blade prop. I wanna do some testing on my boat. My 26 pitch is a hair to much right now and wanna try a 3 blade. 24 pitch would be preferred but whatever you got. I would take full responsibility for the prop and any damage done to it if that were to happen
