Depending on what your car payments are like, how much you owe on the car, you might be much better off selling the Jetta (assuming you're not under water) and buying come random car for the 4k. That frees up your car payment/month to put into savings, retirement, wherever you see fit. Maybe put it into savings to pay down the car early.

The stock part on a4s4's was known to not be a mechanically robust part. Maybe they use the 710n on all newer cars or a different updated part. They make a few different ones and the 710n is a part #. Iirc it was used on yhe Audi tt's back in the day. Should be able to find them for about $50. The only ones most people will have lying around will be the bad part because they replaced it with the better one.

Fucking so glad I left Verizon. When I finally decided on my smart phone debacle it was an Android phone of the iPhone. Since there were only mostly seemingly false rumors about when Verizon would have either of these and I was ready to make the plunge I left them. Now they are going to get an android phone, but it's a Motorola. I will never own another Motorola. The one I owned was such a piece of shit. So glad I left Verizon.

Really, you just found out about this? Not sure how I feel about this. I don't smoke and I'm anti smoking in general, but people should be able to do what they want, as long as it doesn't hurt others. I do like to go to the Hooka bar or smoke a cigar once in a blue moon, but I wouldn't be upset if I couldn't do it. The ban, whether intentional or unintentional, only effected small manufactures too (relatively speaking to someone like Phillip Morris or whatever they call themselves now). Lots of people are saying the big tobacco companies pushed this into effect. Also, while I don't think bans on unhealthy products are the way to do it, people living unhealthy, even if it's their choice, is a cost and a strain on all of us. There should be initiatives for healthier living, if anything. It still doesn't make any sense that tobacco and alcohol are legal and weed is illegal.

I'm down for a trip to Ray's! Never been, usually too busy during the winter, but that would be before my schedule gets too busy.

I ran summer tires in the summer and all season in the winter part of the time I had the s4 both on 1 set of stock rims. I will never do that again. I would procrastinate because it was such a paint to use the same rims. I would procrastinate so much that usually the first snow fall I still had on summer tires. Then I would drive and almost kill myself and switch over. If I ever do summers and all season/winters I will get a second set of rims, even if they are just steelies. I can't comment on how that car would do with all seasons. But if it has summer tires on it, get them off now. Even with AWD summer tires have just about zero traction in the snow. I can't imagine trying to do FWD or RWD in the snow with summer tires. She (and just about ever person) will probably wreck at the first snow fall if it has summer tires on it... or just not be able to get out of the parking lot/neighborhood. Someone on here said that last year once it snowed there was a month wait on tire rack for winter tires.

If you make your way down to Columbus the half priced book store on 23/high near morse has a ton of it. I bought my dad probably 2 dozen one year for Christmas for somewhere around $50.
