  1. Add me to the list of those who thinks that car is not good looking. I don't think it's ugly, just very plain looking. But like Gearhead said, it's not meant to look good, it's meant to go fast.
  2. I'll be there with some of the family. Shooting you a text.
  3. Those guys are going to die. Hat tip to them for doing it in such an awesome way.
  4. Maybe he's interviewing for a 'management' position at BB?
  5. All those window covers you see have tinny little holes all over them in them that allows people inside to see out of the car, but not 100%. My sisters company car is completely wrapped, including every window (but the windshield obviously) and you can basically see out of it. Not that here being able to 100% see out of it would help her not run into shit.
  6. I don't quite get it. Are you making fun of that guy, or gearhead?
  7. Maybe I just like penis cars.... one of the cars on my to own list is an M Coupe.
  8. http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/07/perspective_front_opt.jpg I would put on a scarf, one of those funny hats and some swimming goggles on and ruck the fuck out of this thing.
  9. That's not a proposition, this is a proposition... http://jalopnik.com/5314082/update-free-jeep-wrangler-marriage-proposal-gets-more-strange BTW :barf:
  10. Yeah, I was wondering WTF he was talking about with that sentence.
  11. Yup. Just look at NASA's schedule and sign up for the next hpde 1 at mid Ohio. I'm not sure if there are any more there this year though. A group of us will be there for moral support and any questions you might have. Nelson is much cheaper, but afaik no instructor and that track is more dangerous than mid Ohio.
  12. To add to what Matt said, and this is just my understaing as I haven't gone through this yet. Read up on the websites to be sure. In NASA you start out in HPDE 1. You 'graduate' from 1 and you go to 2. There is HPDE1-4 and you need to 'graduate' from 4 to go to Time Trials. If 1st gear has to do with autocross, it will likely mean squat with anything having to do with open lapping, whether that be in SCCA or NASA.
  13. Correct, that's why matt is doing time trials, because he doesn't have his comp liscense yet. The level above where he is at you need them. That's full wheel to wheel where you get 1st ,2nd and so on for the total race.
  14. Did you give him cash for everything? If not you should have bank records you can go to. If so, that's not smart.
  15. Was going to do the Elevator tomorrow night, but might do one of these instead. Thanks for posting!
  16. Have you seen her husband... don't think you would say that anymore. He was a top ten finisher in his class at the Arnold Classic lift/run thing.
  17. If you and or she is hot, or even cute and know how to talk to people, I'm sure you could find some old creepo to let you use their car. EDIT: Rotarded just called me to ask me where to find an Eldorado he could buy....
  18. IMHO there's a big difference between 10-15 over on a 35mph zone and on the highway. It's OK to do 50mph on a 35mph street? Anyways, like someone else said, speeding is speeding. And he didn't even get a ticket. Like Hwilli said, he needs to stop being a little sissy and being all buthurt about a cop 'waving their mean little finger at me'
  19. That's idiotic. I'm sure the top tier for punishment is well below 210+mph, so it would be very easy to say that beyond a shadow of a doubt that the car was traveling well over the top punishment tier. There's the possibility that he was clocked and the instrumentation doesn't read higher than that.
  20. I figured you posted it, I was trying to make a point. Let's look at this from a logical point instead of an emotional point (we should crush it to punish him, we shouldn't crush it because of what it is). Like pdqgp pointed it, California is in pretty bad shape finincially right now. How logical is it for the goverment to say 'We are going to take X thing from you because you did Y thing wrong and crush it to make you feel bad... even though that thing would fetch 1-1.5 million dollars at an auction' That's not very smart to crush it over some feelings right? California is talking about (or already has?) give teachers IOU's and we are going to crush a 1 million+ dollar car. There aren't very many people that would not feel the financial aspect of someone taking their 1.5 million dollar car. If it doesn't matter financially to him, we can't say for sure that he would have an emotional attachment to the car. So take the guys car and sell it, as a 'tax'. This is the rolling scale. You do this laundry list of things in your car that greatly endanger others lives and show no respect to the safety of others on the road and we take them and we don't crush them, but we sell them. During some time period you get a work privilege only licenses, they have to drive a gremlin and aren't allowed to rebuy the car that was taken from them (whether that exact car from auction or another like it). Then maybe something else, I'm not sure. I haven't put a ton of thought into this except for that.
  21. Did he give you a ticket? I didn't 100% gather that from any of your post.
  22. Well, say to crush someone's corvette whatever, fine. Say to crush a Bugatti Veyron, on a car board, and that's what I will think of you. Those car's are pieces of art. And don't get all high and mighty that I called whoever happened to be on the other end posting as you an idiot and it happened to be your wife. And especially don't get all high and mighty when I had no idea that it was your wife on the other end. If you expect me to be respectful of a post simply because your wife made it, then maybe the post should say so.
  23. I don't understand this. The basis of the way detecting speed by radar (or laser, or anything) works should inherently mean they don't have to do this.
