Incorrect title, should be the 15 Most Expensive Whiskys You Can't Get in Single State Supplier Ohio Stores and 6 Others.

Fully proves I don't know shit about Burbon secondary market. :fa: I'm good with that.
-
Maybe (probably) $100k was a crazy number, but I'm really shocked the asking price isn't higher than $20k. Is it even actually out yet?
-
Busy is fine, I get that, especially with what I understand the demand is for anyone who's good at their trade right now. I just need good communication and scheduling, even if their schedule is X weeks or months out. It's great to hear from people who have good experiences. Thanks, I knew there was someone on here but I couldn't remember who.

Looking to get 2 systems put in, separating upstairs and down. Any recommendations? I'm about ready to figure out how to do this on my own, please help me find someone that wants my money!

People who claim to be in the middle but actually aren't at all. http://www.quickmeme.com/img/1e/1ea4301193bcc4c0582a43e5523271a53c87845fc8fb65c7f88efcccdf794d0d.jpg

Anyone want to take pop-shots about the price of the first bottle sold on the secondary market? I just assuming at least a few of them will go to auction. We can play the Price is Right rules. I'm calling $100k.

Their gin's really good, no idea about the whiskey.

I was going to offer Clay a helping hand when needed but if he welds up some scaffolding himself I'm 110% out.
-
I originally got some down in Key West, the normal stuff which I'm still working through. I haven't had any of the barrel aged yet. I need to pick some up next time I see it in a store.

I don't know if it will have an effect like this, but one of the most amazing drinks I've ever had was infused with smoke.

It'll still be from single source Ohio Liquor Control Board meaning if you are looking for something specific they are unlikely to have it, especially for anyone like me that likes rum. We'll still have to order from online out of state for anything 'special'. A step in the right direction overall though.

Tire/wheel options for Grand Cherokee?
Trouble Maker replied to Trouble Maker's topic in Passing Lane
That interior looks really nice and cohesive, really make me hate the random champagne trim bezels in my GC even more. The quilted leather trim in that article about the GC looks really nice too. Congrats on the (high) Level 2 system coming to market, I'm sure it was a ton of work! Depends on the trim level it's on, but that could bring it down to a relatively low price point. Thanks, I'll check out the reveal. -
Tire/wheel options for Grand Cherokee?

Definitely way off-topic. Is the 21MY Durango the new platform or just big MMC? Or maybe that's what you were saying earlier about Dodge and any new platforms. What all has been announced will get the PHEV powertrain? I thought it was announced the GC would get it at some point. Seems like that points you towards GC long w/PHEV in the future. Though that's probably a pretty expensive combo, especially since it will likely only be offered on higher trims. I hadn't read too much about that system, seems interesting (and expensive) with the combo of MHEV (belt-generator, maybe not BSG due to motor in mission?) and FHEV in the mission. -

That's probably more true now than ever in our industry. Good luck with the merger. We are going through a major reorg right now, well major reorg might be an understatement. It's definitely not a boring time to be in this industry. https://www.automotiveworld.com/news-releases/honda-unifies-manufacturing-operations-and-r-sales-organization-streamlines-auto-sales-and-parts-service-field-operations/ *I didn't read the full article and even if I did I can't and won't comment on the veracity of the info. At least it's nice there will be any option of GC Long or Durango if you decided to go that route again. -

Ah, didn't think about the air sus. Looks like the tanks are behind the 2nd row about where some 3rd row legs and feet would go. Funny news timing. https://www.autoblog.com/2021/01/07/2021-jeep-grand-cherokee-l-three-row-reveal/ Could be a nice 'upgrade' from the Durango in a few years? I honestly don't know the make/model/trim walk in FCA that well, just assuming the GC has a little more feature content, better NVH, etc. than the Durango. -
Heating recommendations for an attached 2 car garage
Trouble Maker replied to jerrodh's topic in Dumpster
I kind of wonder what a lower setting would keep the garage at? Even when not working out there It would be nice to have the garage at 40ish to keep it from actually freezing and melt the snow off of the cars, quicker warm-up when driving. Then if it's warm enough outside it shouldn't kick on. -
Do you get into your basement through the garage?

We ripped out the railing on the steps going to our bedroom as par of a major flooring project. We are planning to do cable railing, but most of the options feel too expensive for a garage IMHO. But if it's something you like and are OK with the cost, I think it would fit the motiff. Just a few quick google searches I found, I can't find the one I was previous looking at. I'm sure there are dozens of these companies that sell DIY cable hand railing systems. https://www.cablebullet.com/ https://stainlesscablerailing.com/ Edit: Saw that you already installed something, nevermind! My dad has a beer fridge in his garage at floor level right by the interior door and steps like that. But with the way my mom has to park her car in there, there's not enough room to walk directly to it. So you have to walk all of the way around her car. He really needs to do this same thing.

Tire/wheel options for Grand Cherokee?
Trouble Maker replied to Trouble Maker's topic in Passing Lane
If it were just me driving the car, I wouldn't worry about it. I can keep it in mind and just set the cruise a few MPH lower based on whatever the difference is. With the wife occasionally driving it, it's iffy. But, my parents will drive this sometimes. My dad would instantly get a ticket with the slow speed accuracy. So whatever the difference is, I'll fix it. Honestly the bigger thing I'm worried about with tire size difference is accuracy for any of the dynamics systems. And whatever the typical update is probably only fixes the speedo. But I feel like better tires is a reasonable trade-off. -

I love Android Auto, last few Honda's I had have had it, it's the only thing I used in them. I'll definitely miss it if it won't work on this thing, but the stock one doesn't have it anyway. Seems possible but not obvious about how to do it. I tried a few things and no joy yet. I need to dig and play with it some more. Maybe I need to buy their dongle. But I honestly can't understand why it would need more hardware to enable this unless it's just a way for them to make more money. It's got 2 USB ports on it already. Mentioned the stock head unit was just a back-up in case this thing craps out. I almost didn't go look at this car because of the aftermarket head unit. Most OEM infotainment is buggy/slow and not really that good, so an aftermarket one seems like a recipe for disaster. Then I looked at one in Toledo that smelled like cigarette smoke. Then the second one I looked at threw what seemed like some dynamics system/sensor plausibility fault 2 miles into my test drive on 270. This was the only other diesel with the trim/features I wanted in my price range in Ohio, so I went and test drove it. I was very happy that it still had the stock head unit and HVAC control, just in case something happens with this aftermarket unit or it's garbage. Almost unbelievable that the previous owner kept it and left it/put it back in the car when they sold it, and it made it all the way through whatever sales chain it went through and it was still in the car when I bought it. -

A previous owner did. I was worried about it, but they kept the stock head unit in the trunk. So worst case I can go back to stock. It's this one. https://phoenixautomotiveinc.com/products/px6-six-core-13-6-vertical-screen-android-9-0-fast-boot-navigation-radio-for-jeep-grand-cherokee-2014-2020 I was surprised seeing the rear cargo area of the Grand Cherokee that it didn't have a third row 7P option, but after seeing the full size spare it makes sense now. -
Tire/wheel options for Grand Cherokee?

I'm debating something around a regular all-seasons w/3PMSF or AT (all season w/3PMSF). For example the Michelin Cross-climate VS Pirelli Scorpion AT mentioned earlier. So, not really looking for something that almost an MT. Those sound like a good comprise for getting to the trail and good performance on trail. My main target is for on road but I don't want to ignore some light wheeling. -

Trouble Maker replied to Trouble Maker's topic in Passing Lane
Of course it all depends on the profile on the inside of the wheel and barrel, but the generally wisdom 17s fit regular brakes and 18s HD (heavy duty) brakes. Depending on the trim, package, options you get HD brakes. HD brakes I believe are same diameter but vented rear rotors and larger front rotors with the same calipers but different mounting brackets to compensate for the larger rotors. The diesels gets the HD brake package, so 18's are supposed to fit. Which Dodge do you have? Just curious, since I believe the current Durango is on the same chassis as the Grand Cherokee?
