I'm guessing I can't vote for more than one option. I prefer any weekend evenings, but can make afternoons if that works best for everyone else. Although if it's Saturday afternoons I likely can't make it until mid march as my winter volunteer gig I work Sat 8-4. My job that actually pays, I work M-F so my weekends are 100% free after beg/mid March.

Seriously Kirk, thanks a ton for all of the info and help, as well as everyone else here. Some background. I wrecked in the moguls, right ski poped off, left didn't, it hit a mogul and twisted my knee a little (I don't really know the full extent since it all happened so fast). I was able to sand up, put my skis back on and ski the short rest of the way down. I stopped skiing for the day, but stayed and worked in the patrol room (I'm on ski patrol at Mad River). This was at ~10AM. By 2PM my knee had swollen up pretty good, but not scary looking and I lost some ROM. Since then it's been about the same, swelling comes and goes as I ice/ibuprofen and depending if I walk on it at all. I'm able to walk on it, with a limp and some favoring. I can make my leg go straight, but it doesn't really like it due to the stiffness. I can only bend my leg to about 90deg, sometimes a little more, from straight. I can bear full weight on it. There isn't much if any pain, it just feels really tight. I've been icing every hour or two while awake for 10-20minutes. Taking 1 ibuprofen every 4-6 hours. I've been staying off of it as much as possible. A nurse (or something along those lines) in the field on the patrol looked at my knee, moved some stuff around, and said she didn't think I tore anything. I think the swelling and ROM was marginally better this morning, right out of bed. I'm just being precautionary, going in to see a doctor. I'm very active in my hobbies, I ski, hike, run, bike. Things that all require me to have working knees, year round. I can't afford to not take care of something like this as well as I possibly can. If something were to happen that caused me to be limited in what I do, it is what it is. But that reason isn't going to be because I didn't take care of something how I should have.

Ya, he seems to know his way around Columbus docs in these fields. So I was hoping he would chime in. Thanks for the suggestions Kirk.

Any opinions about Edwards at Orthopedic Excellence (in front of the Giant Eagle at Bethel & Swamill)? I was suggested there by a coworker who just went through a torn knee ligament. I would like to get in sooner rather than later and Edwards has an available appointment on Thursday, but Steensen's next appointment is next Monday. I don't really want to let this sit for a whole week. I have an appointment scheduled with both right now and will just cancel once I decided for sure who to go to. This was a sports related, skiing injury, in case it matters.

Who's good? I possibly sprained... or who knows what I did to my knee over the weekend. So I want to go get it checked out. I live on the NW side of Columbus and work NW of Columbus, so being on this side of town would be a plus. But I will go wherever I need to go to see the right person.

Well, that's true of any modifications you do to your car, I think most people here already know this. With APR, at least they say this "All APR ECU Upgrades are fully encrypted to prevent theft of our valuable and proprietary coding information by lesser companies and to include protection to our clients by keeping the upgrade undetectable to a dealership's VAG diagnostic tool." I don't know how true it is in practice, but they are a pretty reputable company. I'm just giving advice to him to help steer his decision based on how they might use this car in the future.

This is mainly why I want one. I just don't want to spend the money on one right now.

Most modern turbo cars will get you a pretty decent gain with a chip, which is anywhere from easy (remove ECU, send in for chip/flash), to extremely easy (flash at shop via OBDII PORT) Then if you want to do a little more, get an exhaust (and matching tune/flash). APR parts for the A5, as an example. http://www.goapr.com/products/ecu_upgrade_20tsivl_long.html After that, most cars probably show diminishing gains for money and time/HP. And a lot of times, a chip and 1 or 2 other parts will get you most of what the stock turbo can push.

Holly shit me and gerg noticed them when they left and were both blown away that she was with that guy. Nerdy looking guy at least twice her age and she was cute looking. The only thing we could figure is that maybe they were a father/daughter. Anything happen that would make you think they were definite not related, on a date? I'm a little rough today too. That bar pours strong mixed drinks. I mean to switch to beers but forgot and had 1 more mixed drink... then I also acdientally had another beer that I wasn't planning on right at the end of the night. I think you had already left, but there were still people there and things were winding down and they called last call at around 1:20.

Maybe worth driving the 2012 or the 2008 S5 (if it's local) just to see if you like it enough to bother with finding one and paying the extra cost over the A5. I imagine the S5 or 3.2L A5 is not nearly as easy to mod from a power standpoint as the 2.0T, which has a ton of room to grow. So that's one thing to weigh in the decision if you think you will get the mod bug down the road with this car. Maybe try to find a 2010 A5 if you might go that route. That could be harder to find though as an 09 is that typical 3 year old car coming off of lease so there will be a ton more of them.

If you like the A5 so much, but want something sportier, look around for an S5?

Went into Mid West Express today and picked up the Olympus and a few accessories. I had a very pleasant experience there and they were very flexible on price on the small items. Glad I was able to shop at a local place. Even though I don't mind spending more locally at small shops, I was doubly pleased that I didn't spend more that I would have at a chain or online.

Gerg was there for a while too. I'm stealin' the money next time. :gabe:

I think I'm good whenever. Set a time based on others and I can go. Saturdays are best through mid march. Then I'm good Friday or Saturday. Are we allowed to bring in some (good) liquor to share and compliment the cigars?

I'll be there at 6:30... if we have to split up we have to split up, no biggie. We could always try to get some tables close to each other.

And Obama wants it to be at point of sale and not a tax rebate... things would be nutty then. I was just talking with my partner about this because she loves the idea of a PHEV/EV. Will it work for all PHEV's or does the amount of rebate depend on the battery size, distance the car can go on elec only? The Prius plug in is $7k less than the volt. $32k for the Prius PHEV, minus 10K... 22K for that car is damn low.

So Geico had 3 people insuring their GTR with them, 1 person totals their car so the risk likelihood based on vehicle model shoots through the roof crushing some high threshold for your car to go on the list of uninsurable vehicles. I guess that's the price of having a rare car. I'm guessing you don't put a ton of miles on it. Would it make more sense for most people to go with a smaller niche insurance company that is less likely to have policies like this, just for your 'exotic' vehicles? Then just keep a regular insurance company for their regular vehicles.

Halp. Looking for specific wheels for mustang...

What's your plan, vehicle, class, etc? When are you going out, this year, next? I would love to go for speed-week sometime. I might have to tag along as support. If you are serious about this, I might be able to get you in contact with someone who has extensive experience. I can imagine it could be invaluable to pick someone's brain who's been through everything a few times. AFAIK it's a little bit of a good-old-boys club and there are lots of little miss-steps most learn through experience. Just like any racing, I think you could build a whole car and have it rejected based on safety concerns or lack of info on the build. This might not be as big of a hurdle with mass pro type cars and lower, relatively speaking, speeds. -
