  1. Get it with leather and heated seats. They are good cars, but long highway trips are better in a Cruze. I had a few small problems, but covered under warranty. You must get a Level 2 charger for your home to get the most out of it. Cars off of 3/36 leases are in the 13-15k range. Not sure why you would need to save a couple bucks with cloth. 4. Sounds like it was a hit. 30k people attended. Sadly, I couldn't (again) due to another trip. http://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/woodward-dream-cruise/2016/08/19/roadkill-nights-revs-pontiac/89005348/ Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  5. Coupe or RT/10? Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  6. Not so sure about that. The Cafe Electric guys are still around, and there are still quite a few home built that are done on a budget. I think the quality of the product has been elevated, so now you have more expensive, high end parts that weren't around before. My co-worker follows along with the EVTV guys and his build is using all parts scavenged from production cars. Until there are millions of junked EV's sitting in pick and pulls, it will always be cheaper to do a crazy, JP-like ICE build. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  7. My coworker is in the middle of turning an RX8 into an EV at a fraction of that cost. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  8. Rejoice!!! Except now I can't go to AutoTrader. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah, every one seems to like them. They had an employee test drive event last week that I didn't make it to, and they're offering a pretty good employee lease deal. It sounds like quite a few will be picking one up. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  10. The 124 ain't bad. Also the 500e was completely re-engineered by North America. It's not just a 500 with a motor swap. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  11. The guys I talked to said there were some early problems that resulted in buybacks, but they have all been fixed and the repair is free of charge. They said they wouldn't be worried about buying one. And yeah, I've been working with some guys for CA and a few of them got 500e's for less than 100/month. Sorry for hijacking a Lambo thread into a 500e chat. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  12. True, but working at the tech center I should have no problem diagnosing issues or ordering parts. Electric cars are pretty low maintenance as is. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  13. Except that Wrangler cage isn't a cage, and anything near a passenger is designed with head impact in mind. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  14. Yeah, knowing the reason for the buy back and seeing the service history can increase confidence, if you intend to keep it for a while. There were several Fiat 500e buybacks in CA with very low miles for $10-12k. I've considered picking one up and having it shipped as a commuter. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  15. No, I dont believe its salvage, but it will indicate it was a buyback somehow. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  16. If I knew you were interested in a Viper I could have given you a heads up. A friend of a friend was able to pick up a 1 year old GTS for $66k with a 5 year warranty. It was lemon lawed for a paint defect. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  17. When you put a labyrinth of metal tubes through the interior of your car, you greatly increase the odds of fracturing your skull and dying when your head hits these tubes in an accident. There's a reason you're supposed to add padding to the cage and wear a helmet. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  18. I don't see any cross-bracing on the hoop, just down tubes on the sides. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk

  21. When you start the car the heated seats and wheel are on the start up page, but yeah there is a push to remove buttons for optional features that have no safety implication. If we had hard buttons for everything you're dash would look like a giant keyboard. You car is still better than anything from Cadillac, Mercedes, BMW, etc. Almost everything on those is configured through the screen and controlled by a joystick. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  22. You can turn the fan on/off, up/down, A/C on/off, temp up/down, recirculation on/off all with real buttons. How is this bad? Try driving a new Cadillac. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160702/7dbbf35e7f2b06f4aed7624411dabeed.jpg Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  23. The driver should have seen it, the system did not. I looked up the intersection on Google Street view and for the semi to get that far across his lane without the driver reacting tells the story. Speed limit is 65. Driver monitoring cameras do exist, but aren't accepted as necessary in this level of system. This is a Level 2 system that's trying really hard to be a level 3. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  24. http://jalopnik.com/first-fatal-tesla-autopilot-crash-sparks-nhtsa-investig-1782916450 According to the report it was not a limited access highway and the truck made a left turn in front of the Tesla. The driver was probably decapitated and killed immediately. I have also been saying since day 1 that it's irresponsible how the current system was released. There are easy checks/restrictions that could have been added to the software in order to ensure it would not be abused. Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
  25. The fact that R&T claims they don't think it's possible that the system could not detect the side of a semi truck tells me they have no fucking clue how these systems work. This is most likely what happened, and the driver was either not paying attention or was waiting as long as possible to see if the system would react in order to get another million YouTube hits. These systems cannot handle this type of situation! The driver still owns the safety of the vehicle! Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk
