  1. Hey all- Looking for something small and compact, easiest/cheapest to obtain/ modify to 6-800 hp and bellhousing adaptable to a t5 or t56 or ford toploader. Off the top of my head I can think of 2.3L T ford engine.. Porsche 951 I know and subaru wrx is probably a lot more expensive to obtain and modify... Thanks! Andrew
  2. Hardly the same comfort as a factory c6 z06 have you heard the literally 2-3' long exhaust on that thing? and their resale is piss poor at best.... That said they are sweet and if I had bill gates like dollars I would buy one to build and play with- I actually looked at them hard before I got my c5z.. the kit claims you can build it for 40K but most guys that have built one have about 80K in them. To the OP, take this with a grain of salt, but the one car people typically buy after selling their c5z and don't look back is the lotus elise. Don't ask me why I have never driven one but I read this all the time on corvette forum... a lot of guys will buy c6s or even c6 z06s and then either sell them after a short while and get a c5z again or keep them and add another c5z to the collection. I should probably drive one but I don't see me trading mine for that carbon fibered camry (joking doc ;-) ) any time soon- they say something about the c6 missing the raw spirit of the c5z that the lotus has? I hardly call my c5z raw but I will admit my dad's ls3 c6 does feel tame in comparison and it has more hp and only a little more weight.... it probably has something to do with the "tossability" of the elise as the corvette is sort of broad shouldered and daunting from the drivers seat... points to ponder I wouldn't even look twice at the GTR- the ZR1 is pretty sweet but unless you are going to road race it competitively, or are making a collection of rare cars, I would just put a well-proven A&A or ECS blower kit on a nice low mileage c6z and pocket the 60 grand and smoke one at the drag strip if you could hook all that power... Actually a c6 z51 ls3 car with a blower is an even closer powerplant and would cost you another 10-15 less yet but I do like the body kit on the z06 and the weight reduction measures. I won't touch the porsche/corvette/german/usa topic- been down that road too many times on here kickass;-) I drove a few m3s I will +1 the meh- if I were to buy something german along those lines it would probably be a used amg sl55 or sl65 as that car is stunningly beautiful IMO... That's my .10 cents.
  3. I drive by your house every day on the way to work and back... You guys always seem to have a lot of car related action there- I figured it was only a matter of time until you joined. I used to have a supercharged h/c/i burgundy 5.0 fox coupe now I have a silver 03 z06 corvette. Welcome to the site- Don't you guys have a blue camaro as well?
  4. If you can swing it I would try to get an 09 Z06- apparently they are able to be upgraded to the 2010 GM launch control so you can actually use all that power on street tires....
  5. For sure- because I believe this one is one of the most desireable c4s due to it being the 93-96 body and manual tranny- don't they have some special stronger rear end as well? You may want to raise the price.
  6. nice wheels! is this up on cf?
  7. David- Is your friend bringing his cobalt out this year? My dad is still talking about that and we never even got tp run them due to weather/shed conflicts.
  8. soo.. parts are available for that motor or any word on the chinese info?
  9. and you don't have to waste 2 hours per run in the staging lanes waiting for everyone and their brother to run. So.... has anyone heard anything?

  11. Anyone heard anything?
  12. We got this high quality brass and glass coffee table from my parents when we were without children. We moved it to the basement as soon as our son was able to pull himself up and now running around as he does we don't see it coming up anytime soon. It is 38" x 38" at its widest and features 5/8" thick glass and solid brass frame- as a result it is pretty heavy. 250.00 OBO http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/table.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/tableleg.jpg Thanks, Andrew

    WTB: C6Z mufflers

I think he wants the Z06 dual mode feature and 3"- think the 08+ standard c6 NPP exhaust is not 3"... I think those or the c5 zo6 titaniums are great ideas...
  14. as mentioned above you have to put the car in closed loop by disconnecting a sensor or it will likely compensate making it difficult to notice.
  15. It's never worked for me but lots of guys swear by disconnecting a tps or some sensor to put it into closed loop and then spray carb cleaner at suspect leak areas and listen for a change in idle... a mechanic guy my dad knows sucked oil into a vacuum port of a carbed ride to make a smoke machine??? dunno if I would do that one but he swore it was safe...
  16. nice work- now can you show me how to build my own for 2011.00 preferably looking like a mirage?
  17. Sean, That's what flyinmiata and monstermiata are for.... ;-)
  18. oh here we go again...
  19. Thanks Linn for your post, those are included in the kit- it says a pump or kenne bell boost a pump (I am guessing depending on year of car?) and injectors.. here is the link: http://www.aacorvette.com/superchargers/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_14_43&products_id=81 There is a kit available for 500.00 less without the pump and injectors so I do need to check how much those are alone...
  20. Hey all- Thinking about adding a blower to the Z06. Other than the kit (by A&A) which supposedly includes everything to make the power except for a tuner and wideband O2 what other supporting mods are necessary? I am thinking: Clutch Catch Can Racelogic ($$$) or hopefully copy 2010 launch control somehow using HP Tuners DTE Brace PFADT Trans Brace Or do I need to start also looking at upgraded transmission and halfshafts/rearend? I do not plan on putting anything stickier on than my street nitto NT05s or pilot sports (hence the racelogic- if the ZR1 can do it with 638 flywheel hp on street tires I should be able to figure it out) Thanks!

Would this show be considered soft anime porn?
  22. A guy I know has an overunder 22 magnum derringer and the trigger on that thing is so hard you'd have to be arnold not to pull it off target.... How is the trigger on this one?
