  5. This is for two boxes of corvette trading cars for around 72 packets... The cards include representations of Corvette models from 1953 all the way through 1991. For a complete inventory of the collector cards included in these two sets – see the picture included below (there are 100 different types of cards). Each card is glossy, high quality cardstock –with a photograph representation on the front and fun, informative text on the back. For example, a given card with a token year of a Corvette featured on the front, will include such stats as production numbers, original prices, serial numbers, engine options – and other minute details that only a Corvette Connoisseur would love and appreciate. However, there are more than just Corvettes featured on these cards – there are such things as the Corvette insignia and other relevant facts and history related to this awesome automobile. http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/vette3.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/vette2.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/vette1.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/vette4.jpg

  11. agreed. I'd venture to say only a very well engineered stainless properly ceramic coated header will last as long as a factory manifold- there is a reason automakers do not install them beyond fabrication difficulty.
  12. I think it also depends on the car and how much power it was engineered to handle (^fast vette/fast civic) - My 365 whp 3000lb fox mustang felt fast and raw, my ~365 whp 3000lb z06 feels quick but refined. I think anything sub 15 daily is fun. Sub 14 daily is a thrill, sub 13 daily is dizzying, dunno about sub 12 yet.. I can't imagine wanting to go faster than low 11s to mid 10s and drive it daily.
  13. Some have pictures- some do not- please ask if you would like one that is not shown. OBD1 Ford Scan Tool - I used it on my '90 5.0 coupe and it worked great, still have original packaging. $15. 1991 ‘Vette Set’ Corvette Collector’s Cards $10 http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/vette3.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/vette1.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/vette2.jpg If you yourself are a Corvette enthusiast, or have a loved one or a good friend who loves the car – look no farther. You have found a cornucopia of a Corvette Lover’s ‘fuel.’ These cards can serve as inserts to special occasion cards, just plain entertainment and fun trivia or even an entire gift in and of themselves. However, there are more than just Corvettes featured on these cards – there are such things as the Corvette insignia and other relevant facts and history related to this awesome automobile. This posting is for 2 boxes of the 1991 ‘Vette Set’ Corvette Collector’s Cards. These cards were owned by a car lover and not a white-gloved collector. As such, while not damaged, these boxes and the cards contained therein have not received white glove treatment. Each of the 36 packets contained within each separate box has been clipped open with a pair of scissors (all to see if there were any included autographed cards by Mario Andretti – as that was one of the original selling points of this collection). This way you too can enjoy the substance of what these cards have to offer rather than admiring a flawlessly sealed box from afar. Two Panasonic Model SB-CH71 Two-Way Speakers $20 http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/speaker2.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/speaker1.jpg The posting of these two speakers for sale is merely the result of the blending of two households and the fact that they are plain and simple not needed – not because there is anything wrong with their functionality or because they were not dearly loved. The speakers measure a little over 13.5 inches tall and about 8 inches wide. Neutral-Toned/Crème Butterfly Landscape Lamp Light - $20 http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/lamp2.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/lamp3.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/lamp4.jpg http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj162/hpfiend/lamp1.jpg One thing that is an undeniable truth – lamps are expensive. So, you are doubly in luck given that you have happened upon this posting. Not only do you have a fully functional, attractive and unique lamp – it’s at a stellar price. There is no shade that comes with this lamp, giving you a blank slate for the way in which you choose for the look/impression of this decorative/functional piece to go in your home. The unique design on the lamp brings in a fabulously varied palate – consisting of mauves, blues, browns and, given the natural landscape look that the lamp features – there is a host of other colors that you can pick up to accent your home décor. The very base of the lamp is a vintage, brassy color. From the feet of the lamp’s base to the very top of where the light bulb screw measures approximately 22 inches. Two(2) - Vintage Brass and Wicker Woven Blade Ceiling Fans- One has light kit one does not. 15.00 Each. White/Silver Vintage Bathroom Light Fixture - $10 If you want to add a new, clean and streamlined look to your bathroom, or truly any room in your home -- you have arrived at the right sale posting. The only reason that the title specifies 'bathroom' with respect to this light fixture is because it was removed from our original 1960's bathroom. The fixture is in good, clean condition and ready for immediate turnover. The measurements are as follows: Front glass area that shows once mounted on wall: 1 foot, 3 inches long Silver base that mounts to wall: 1 foot, 4 inches Diameter of circular attachment site: 4 inches Set of 3 Window Blinds - $5 We all know that window blinds can be found at a relatively low price -- but, a set of three for $5, I don't think any discount/retail store can beat that price! Depending on your personal situation and taste -- these may serve as temporary window cover or a great deal on permanent window decor. Here are the details: 1. Gold blinds, approximately 53.5 inches long (has wand, but it is taped on) 2. Large white blinds, approximately 53.5 inches long (missing wand, but still able to be opened/closed with turning hook) 3. Small white blinds, approximately 35 inches long (has wand, but it is taped on) Aside from needing a little bit of TLC in the cleaning department, the wands (as mentioned above) are the only 'defect.' If you are shopping for this type of item, I am sure you are aware that replacement wands are easy to find in many different stores.
  14. Drove a 2011 fusion sport in blue flame and fwd the other night- unfortunately with our toddler we dont have that much flexibility of time so this one was in a rainstorm and near rush hour- so we couldn't really experience the good things about the car- on an onramp at about 25mph it did feel pretty flat but that isn't saying much. The numbers online appear that the Subaru 3.6R is faster and just behind it in the handling department- both around low 15s and the subaru seemed to handle acceptably.. If I am reading correctly the 04-08 TL does the quarter around 14.5?? It did feel faster than the subaru but not fifty hp... What I did notice is the blue two tone seats with matching dash accents (not a big fan) and the ride/road noise is quite poor in comparison to the acuras and the subaru. It is on par or worse than my z06 with ultra low profile tires, a race tuned suspension, no sound deadening of any sort and the fusion can hardly handle like this car... I did not play with it but I am sure sync is pretty neat. Also the 2011 we drove with under 30 miles already had a wheel out of balance. We will drive another one on a better day as jennifer felt much better about it than I did as she puts it way out above the subaru in the looks and excitement category- we didn't get to drive it together so maybe her drive had more opportunities to experience the car. Still to drive the accord v6-
  15. We drove the 2011 Subaru Legacy 3.6R- Power was adequate with the 256 hp flat six and the steering wheel paddles are neat, rear seat is big enough, didn't like the black carpeting but would probably get one with dark interior so it wouldn't stick out as much- the aesthetics and ergonomics are average to dull, it seems like it fits all our needs but doesn't light our fire like the acuras- it is cheaper however and it is still in the running.. Fusion sometime this week and probably a newer accord v6 after that and we will be ready to decide.
  16. Out of curiosity, why wouldn't you spend company money on the same car?
  17. I do like the looks and performance of the new hyundais- but I guess I am close minded as I am still wary of them. We did drive the legacy tonight- it was a 2011 4 cylinder CVT non-turbo version- we thought the brakes which were indeed strong but felt overboosted, the handling was nice and only a tad soft, but the 170 hp left something to be desired. It seemed like a lot of car for the price and liked it a lot but wanted a bit more power. Does the flat six engine have the longevity of the four as they do have a 250some hp 3.6 model as well but they didn't have any on the lot. The turbo model is only available in a manual according to the sales guy and we don't want that for this car- I am also concerned about the CVT as I believe Honda tried that before and it was not a success???? Was the legacy available with the turbo and automatic in previous years? She was intrigued by the new WRX they had in the showroom but it looked too small... Fusion is up next.
  18. As an update- drove the Volvo S60 at MAG Volvo (they auctioned off the R as it had "too many issues"), and the CX90. The S60 was too small and the handling and brakes were too soft- the turbo was nice between 2500 and 3800 rpm but that is it- The S80 wasn't much bigger and we didn't even bother driving it as Jennifer didn't like how it looked anyways- The CX90 was actually pretty nice and is on the list but we are trying to focus on sedans over SUVs for right now... Also drove a Lincoln MKS- nice car all around- very big but doesn't feel it when driving- too many gadgets though that I feel will be a problem down the road- in the backseat it does feel like a school bus... this wasn't the twin turbo awd version but it still felt peppy. Not cheap either. As of right now she didn't like the looks of the MKZ and the Milan but are still going to drive a fusion sport for the bang for the buck.
  19. Thanks for the suggestions- I ran them past the wife- she says the IS is too small, my sister has one, doesn't like the G8, infinity is on her list to drive along with the maxima no comment on the bmw. We drove an 08 RL last night- very nice car- surprisingly quiet yet powerful, very comfortable luxurious interior, she prefers the look of the TL though but definitely is not ready to cross it off the list for the added space and AWD. Off to drive a fusion sport, the volvos, and nissans.
  20. Thanks for all of the replies! You are right the acuras are definitely on the high end of the price scale- but we liked our RSX-S we bought new and recently sold with 140K miles and not a problem one but a drivers door lock solenoid and a few heatshield rattles in the 7 years we had it. We do not want a manual transmission in this car so if the S60 R is not available in auto we want the standard S60. The 08 TL we drove the other day seemed to handle pretty well - not a corvette but for its bulk and class of car we thought it was pretty good... the fusion V6 (SE or SEL) had lots of body roll and the interior seemed cheaper quality but the car we drove did not have leather and do not know if it had the upgraded roll bars so we will look at others- it did seem peppy. We are going to drive an RL later this week and I guess go to a subaru dealer to find a legacy GT wagon or sedan... Any ideas on the S60 or R? I guess MAG? I despise that place... Thanks, Andrew So far that is 8 for the Legacy, 5 for the Volvos, and 2 each for the rest.
  21. For the wife and weekend family duty... She's definitely into cars/performance but not as obsessed as me- we will still have the vette and a 4wd explorer so have sport and utility pretty much covered- Need reliable, space for 1 maybe 2 kids with carseats and their stuff, not boring with decent acceleration and handling, and a decent interior- AWD is a plus but FWD is ok. 06-08 Acura TL 06-08 Acura RL ?? years but Volvo S60 or S60R 09-10 Ford Fusion 05-? Subaru Legacy GT
  22. Also interested in throttle by wire tweaking- is that also part of the ebcm? VI-PEC?
