  1. A lot of win in this thread... Isn't that similar to what they say about nitrous? http://www.zazzle.com/nos_is_like_a_hot_chick_with_and_std_ya_wann_tshirt-235705371636565458
  2. It looks like I better check these on the corvette.
  3. There is a lot of thought and good points made in this thread but everyone is making it too complicated... it is not obama/bush/clinton or specific policies to blame. If anyone is to blame it is ourselves. Our country needs more accountability (consequences for actions in all realms), practical education (actually have the skills or knowledge to be able to create or produce something tangible/marketable/ or of some intrinsic value), and less media focus (we have empowered them to their absurd levels of control) let us not watch/talk/complain/point fingers but do and accept that there will be consequences for our actions (positive and negative), once again we will have to get our hands dirty literally and figuratively, and the media and our country will be brought back under control.
  4. run my dad's car and you will have a pretty good idea... his is super consistant (sp)
  5. huh? It works for me? Nevermind- had to refresh! my bad.
  6. Found this on craigslist.. haven't seen the car but pretty good deal if you ask me.. http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/1892018152.html Laters, Andrew
  7. I looked on MCIR's website where does it say grudge racing is on saturday? What time does it start/cost/ are there brackets/t&t before? What is the link to the odra schedule? I am pretty sure I will be there with my dad and brother-in-law.
  8. Aren't the Delorean, Pantera, or Ford GT/GT40 also mid engined?
  9. if my wife would go for it I would already have the coffee table like so- I think an aluminum block would be more ideal though.. how are you going to move it? Is it on a lower level? Are the floors in good shape?
  10. I have one just like this but white, 1999 and 141,000 miles and I love it! Great all around vehicle.
  11. awesome! Don't chintz on the honeymoon you will regret it later likely after you have kids.
  12. Don't want to be a dick as you seem to do alright for yourself but joking or not, I would hope none of them ever venture on cr to read this...
  13. I stand corrected! The type R is a v-belt setup or you have a short belt routine that bypasses it?
  14. Wayne- do the loudspeakers work out there at the track? We thought we could hear what was going on really well in the beginning when we were sitting on the grass hill and then when we went to the stands could barely hear anything at all? How does the announcing work there?
  15. hope to see you there as well fubar then- my sister had a 99 Camaro SS A4 and it ran 13.6-13.7s bone stock in 90 degree heat letting the auto do all the work- She beat my lt1 car on street tires while listening to the radio while I did burnout on et streets, held revs, launched at about 3 grand, rowed gears and about strained my leg trying to put the pedal through the floor ;-) Of course I didn't have the nitrous then.
  16. I don't know if it is black or dark blue as it was dark out but it is a newer model- his friend "I eat rice" - David- is on here in this post- it does have blue HID headlights- supposedly slowbalt on here IIRC? haha you caught me between edits- I didn't see you mentioned the wing before I posted the first time ;-) I dunno about the power steering belt deal as type r will have to respond but I am pretty sure its like the RSX and is a serpentine setup so that would mean no waterpump or alternator either which I would be surprised he would take that chance??? LT1s aren't LS series motors but they definitely aren't slow- I enjoyed my old firebird quite a lot! I knew a guy with a speed density 93 with just 3.73 rear gear, auto with a shift kit, and headers that ran 13 flat to 13 teens consistently... Sorry to hear you can't come out the 14th type R there was a white type R back in the day that gave my old lt1 car a run for its money - if it were not for my 4.10 gears he probably would have beat me- not bad for half the cylinders, less than half the displacement, and no power adder...
  17. I saw the green camaro, some sort of exhaust work? He got beat by the cobalt on here but not by a lot IIRC - I will let typer respond on his results as I don't remember if they ran or not.
  18. I read somewhere that the angle of the posts (on a 2 post) is important so you can open the doors without banging... that is what I plan to do when I get mine someday. Not sure if the bendpak or other one you are looking at are 4 post or 2
  19. where are these roll cage specs and 8.50 certification details? Thanks!
  20. yep- cobalt looks fast- couldn't see times but blowoff valve sounds cool- I did hear some shifting problems typeR- decent powered fwd cars are hard to shift well especially with worn mounts/bushings- our 04 rsx-s we just sold was near impossible to shift fast without wheel hop or tire shudder or something... I really disliked that about it but otherwise it was a sweet car- people did say aftermarket motormounts would change that. When acura told us the shifter cable bushings were worn on one of those free inspection days I put a set of aluminum bushings under the shifter and at the cables and it made a big difference with no increase in noise... hope to see both of you the 14th!
  21. 00 type R is your car yellow? There was a yellow type R at mcir last saturday that did alright for itself
  22. cool- keep me posted... my wife is out of town on the 13th so it is likely I could attend.
  23. hey guy didn't know you were on here as well- my dad and I asked about your car when you were in the lanes for the drudge racing...again sweet ride!
  24. looks good! btw have you ever tried running with the headlights all the way down to see if there is aerodynamic advantage?
