  1. One of my co-workers came up to me this morning and told me that he saw something rather funny on the way home from work yesterday. He said he was stopped at a light where there were three lanes, the right lane ending a little up the road. Well a fart can equipped accord decided to test his luck against some kind of BMW. The kid in the accord hits it when the light turns and the guy in the BMW follows suit. Apparently this is a rather busy intersection and everyone is tired of people doing this. So, the two cars stay in it and when the lane is about to run out the accord decides to cut over on top of the BMW. The guy in the BMW has to slam the brakes so his doesn't get hit. The guy in the accord proceeds to slow down and piss of the BMW driver even more. Well, the road curves to the right and they are out of the guys view for a couple of seconds. Then the guy I work with sees a nice cloud of smoke. He gets around the corner and sees that it is tire smoke from both of cars stopping rather quickly. Well the guy stops behind the two as the guy in the BMW is getting out of his car. The driver is roughly late 40's and is leisurely taking off his tie and then tosses it into the car. He then takes the dress shit down a couple of buttons and heads towards the accord. The punk in the accord then gets out and doesn't get the chance to finish what sounded like "Stupid f*cking old man" before the "old man" hits the kid in the nose, then repeatedly in the face about ten more times before the kid slumps to the ground against his car. The old man then turns towards his car, straightens his shirt, and gets in. He then puts it in gear and drives off as if nothing ever happened. My co-worker then ponders whether or not to help out, then decides to also drive around. He said that the kids face was as red as a stop sign at that point and looked to still be out of it. I wonder if it was anyone on here. I guess the kid might think twice about trying to start sh*t with other "old men" from now on.
  2. I believe he is referring to the previous week and not the car that caused an hour cleanup. I actually was talking to him on the phone when Tilley was staging. He, 90gt, said the car came out and spun in first, then got loose in second and the run ended there. Then he said later that the car came out a little better and at the top end it looked to be smoking a little. When the car was being put on the trailer it was smoking then too. I found out later that it was one of the turbos that caused this. 90gt already knows all of this and that is what he was referring to. Apparently there was another vette that had some more serious issues and that wasn't Tilley's car. Hopefully all of the confusion can be settled now. By the way, from the sounds of it the car has some serious potential if it can make a clean pass
  3. I officially hate you and I don't even know you. I had almost forgotten about the oval. Today it is probably packed with hot, young, available women. Take a lot of pictures for us.
  4. Are you the guy who I lined up with the first two runs at Trails? I have the dark gray 03 Cobra.
  5. Well I usually don't run into too much of this on the way into work, but today was a little different. I was in the left lane behind a few cars and the middle lane was wide open so I decided to pass the slower moving cars. I was almost to the bumper of the second to last car, still about 1/4 of mile worth of room in the middle, when he decided that he needed to get over right on top of me. I didn't really see this as necessary since there was plenty of room behind me. I don't think the guy realized that I was there, because when he realized that I was right behind him he decided to proceed to brake check me a couple of times and flick me off. I guess I woke up then and I floored it as soon as I dropped back a couple of cars and got back over into the middle lane to pass him. Well he decided to swerve at me and I stayed in the lane without moving, still passing him. I rarely brake check anyone as it is stupid, but this guy got the deluxe package. I was probably going around 80 when I decided to slide the car down to 35. He then swung over to the right lane, from the left lane and avoiding the car in the middle, and I hit it as soon as he swerved. Well fortunately for me he couldn't out run my slow daily and then decided that he better stay back. I'm not sure why this douche needed to get over within inches of my front bumper to begin with, but he definitely didn't need to start driving like a moron after that. People amaze me. If you can't see a car coming up next to you when the lights are on, maybe you shouldn't be on the road.
  6. I put a bassani cat back and the JLT intake on it. Picked it up a little. I wish the 60 foot clocks would have been working at Kilkare when I ran there. At trails on Sunday I was easing it out and it wasn't coming up well at all in 1st. Best 60 foot was 2.29. I think if I can find the happy medium between bringing it up and slipping it out and not getting wheel hop I'll be able to pull some 2.0 60 foots, but I would rather just get some drag radials and not have to worry about the hop. It went 12.80 at Kilkare and 13.0's at trails. The car didn't feel as good at trails, but it was a little bit warmer out and the blower belt is starting to come apart a little. I think maybe I should steal my friends stock belt and see what happens. Still feels good, but it weighs too damn much.
  7. It wasn't a race by any means, but it was a little surprising to see a car flying up on me out of nowhere. I guess when the car that was in front of me turned he was waiting to turn off of the same street. Anymore the LSX cars are the only ones that are out, and most of them are faster than me. I guess I'll just have to step it up this summer .
  8. I would have given you a chance to play around a little bit more, but I was on my way to the future in-laws for dinner and the street I turned off on was the street that they live off of. For those wondering what this is about, I was headed over for dinner and someone turned off in front of me and I left it in second for a little hit and then I see some black LS1 Z come up on me after I let off. So I hit it in second when he is coming up on me and then grab 3rd and let out due to having to turn. Not really that exciting, but it's nice to see some people are out today.
  9. I saw the car on the back of a trailer yesterday at around 6 when I was getting on 71N at Stringtown. I think there was a 240 following you as well. I unfortunately was getting on 270, or I may have caught up for a closer look. Looked nice sitting on the trailer.
  10. What did it trap? Hopefully you can get the motor out and fixed quickly.
  11. The tires he is running is whatever off brand tire was on it when he bought the car. On a good sticky tire the car should see mid 12's with ease. It is a stick also.
  12. Brian has a 94 or 95 Cobra. Unless he just recently picked up a 93.
  13. I think we all can agree on Norwalk, but it is a little bit further of a drive. For the distance I like Kilkare. Not only does it usually hook better than trails, it has much better prices on food.
  14. That thing is a turd . I think we both need to get on some tires and go at again.
  15. I was on radials and definitely would benifit from a good tire. I have a hurst shifter in the thing, but for some reason after I got a handle on the wheel hop I couldn't bang third. I didn't have any problems hitting on the passes when I had to shift into second early and never had any problems hitting on the street. I guess it was mostly mental.
  16. Well Kilkare finally opened today and after trying to figure out the wheel hop and then not being able to find third for a few passes, I pulled off a 12.80@113.89. I finally decided to just quick shift third instead of banging it and it decided to go in on that pass. I had a decent run missing third going a 13.13@113.00. That would have been nice to see if I hadn't gone retarded with third gear all of the sudden. No 60 foot times all day over there for some reason.
  17. That is nice. Can't wait to see it back out.
  18. You should post it up. I've yet to see that video. I was riding in the white 86 that night. Don't forget that a certain twin turbo car was out too. That was definitely a good night. Only the four of us and no one else trying to follow and watch. Too bad that isn't as easy to pull off now.
  19. It would have had another new best if it wasn't for all the damn rain this week. So nice yesterday, but Edgewater had to clean up the mud on their track from the flooding. I'm never going to get to go to the track. Kilkare was supposed to be open last Saturday and today. Guess what? They are flooded too. WTF!!!!
  20. Depends on what time I'll be meeting up with my dad. The 12th is his birthday. If I make it, I'll get it dynoed as long as it has been to the track by then and I have time to get the parts put on it.
  21. Something tells me he isn't missing it too much. Kind of nice to see someone who can drive put it to a few different types of car.
