  1. I guess some people need too much sleep. I go out to Kilkare most Thursdays, either to watch or race. I haven't raced out there in awhile, but I think I might have to this week. I also work on Fridays and I usually get in to work about 10 til seven, so I guess you guys that are complaining have to get up at 4 in the morning? We might see you guys out there.
  2. The T-56 isn't the part that is bad. It is the stupid stock clutch quadrant setup. If you adjust the cable doing the old pull the pedal towards you while the car is off trick, then try and hit it hard, there is a small metal plate that the quadrant hits and releases the cable tension. This is what causes issues with hitting gears in them. I found a good write up on how to adjust the cable then "move" the metal plate out of the way. I've been power shifting the car down the track since. I just thought you knew that Tom hadn't been to the track before and asking for a 9 sec slip from a track newb was a little much. He is going to need to either beef up the IRS or go solid to get to hook up as well as it should. Also, a good twin disk wouldn't hurt either. It just seemed like hitting a 9 sec pass was so easy the way you said it. The power is there, the suspension is not. That is all.
  3. I only ask that question because it seems that you have a strange vendetta angainst Cobras. When I posted my first time down the track with mine you had to say that you went a couple of tenths faster with your car making less power. Granted, I was on radials carrying an extra 400-500 pounds, but that wasn't the point. I have always been a fan of Mach's and Cobra's, but you always have seemed to shit on the 03/04's. I realize a lot of them don't run to potential, but as Kirk mentioned before, people make the power but can't put it to the ground. It's too easy to make power with these cars, but most can't seem to drive them for shit. Just saying. By the way, I'd really like to see you hit those numbers. I'm serious when I say that.
  4. Are you serious with that? What does your car run?
  5. It was fun watching you guys line up 4 or 5 times last night. People are clueless. There were guys sitting behind us that said "listen to the nitrous on those things". It was the turbos spooling. Some people aren't very car savy.
  6. Welcome. Car looks good in person and definitely doesn't sound like a ~700whp machine while idling. Post some pics for everyone else to see.
  7. That is more than enough to convince me to never do business with them.
  8. is there a double or nothing refund guarantee? Quite possibly. Nothing is written in stone yet
  9. Where should I take some old catalytic converters to get the most out of them these days? Anyone know? Thanks.
  10. I got a plate cover ticket in my old car because it was covered in salt. Dumb ass says "I even tried to wipe it with my sleeve, but it didn't clean up." Last time I checked cleaning off that much salt requires a little bit of water. I couldn't miss any classes, so I just paid the damn thing. It was Freeway Patrol as well over on the east side of 270. Dickhead even went to check the front plate to make sure it wasn't covered. Good thing a rock had broken the front cover a few weeks earlier. I never put plate covers back on that car or any other car I have owned. He also didn't mind that I had tail light covers. Strange. Pay it and move on. Not worth the hassle.
  11. It's now official. The Brian Turner school of driving is going to open to the public in 2 weeks. I'll be collecting money for him Only going to be $99.95 a lesson. He'll drive your vehicle, manual, to atleast a 1/2 second faster ET and make you feel inferior for only $99.95. Nice run Brian, needs a gear and maybe a little bit of spray.
  12. When I left, a guy named Tom with an 03 Cobra had the assisted category with 694. Josh, 10Sec93, had the naturally aspirated category when I left. Don't think it changed after that.
  13. Sounds like the car was running well. Who broke an axle?
  14. I wouldn't be too disapointed. You showed the time slip to us and that is what matters. My #'s were down with extra parts on the car, but it pulls and feels stronger then before. Track #'s count. Dyno's are for tuning and Supras .
  15. Atleast you knew they were being replaced and nothing happened to them anyway. Good thing it didn't spread to the quarters. That would have been bad. By the way, that is a nice Maruader you have there.
  16. Yes it was a good time. That was you that lit up some brakes then. Had smoke rolling from the tires for what felt like 2 minutes, then everyone was waving you to stop. Couldn't figure out why until everyone was trying to put out the brakes. You might want to check the back passenger side, since someone decided it was a good idea to throw water on a scalding hot rotor. Hopefully it didn't warp or crack it.
  17. That takes time and effort. The only place that I go that even asks for my ID anymore is Advanced Auto Parts on Georgesville Rd. No other place has even questioned my card for the past 6-8 years.
  18. Damn! $25 dyno pulls! I'm going to have to find out when I am supposed to be floating down the river on Saturday and see if I can swing by first.
  19. Good news is that this has all been taken care of already by the bank. Had the money back in the account yesterday morning. Only took one day. Still would like to have a nice chat with the people who decided to use our card #. I still hate thieves.
  20. Funny part is that we both have the state issued identity theft protection from when all of the state info was stolen last year. I was an intern at the time for a state agency and my wife is still employed by the state. I guess that didn't work too well. I think I am going to have to call the company which our protection is through and see what they have to say about it.
  21. First off, she isn't my damn wife she is my wife. Second off, she doesn't buy stuff online. But thanks for your stupid ass insight.
  22. So I get a call from my wife this morning asking if I had checked my work voice mail yet. She sounded upset, so I thought the worst. Luckily no one had died. Unfortunately some ass had "Gotten ahold of your magnetic strip," so the bank claimed. The dick spent 2,294.29 in a matter of an hour in Arizona. Needless to say we had just sent out checks to our mortgage, condo fees, electric bill, and a few other things this past Thursday through Saturday. Since my wife couldn't check the online statement, which is why she called the bank to begin with, I got on and checked with my # and got to see where and how much money the person had spent. They went to Office Max, Staples, and then to Best Buy. My favorite part is that the dick my two purchases at both Staples and Best Buy within minutes of each other. Needless to say I'm a little pissed off at work and don't have any money in my checking account until this gets cleared up. They said that they would try and get the money back today, since we had sent out all of those checks and the bank didn't want to have to deal with the other establishments on our behalf for all of the bounced checks. F*cking people drive me crazy.
