My friend took care of that for me. He picked up a GTO after owning several mustangs. His car weighed 3940 with him in it and half a tank of gas and it ran a 12.87@110 at Kilkare. I guess he can drive, because it's an 04 with very little done. I'll stick with what I have for now. I guess my friend and I will have to put on some real tires and see what our cars can do . So the weight "difference" between the cars isn't really there. We weigh within 10 pounds of each other and he had an extra ~4 gallons of gas.

We'll see how she runs when it is a little cooler out. I'm hoping to figure out the launch enough to cut 1.9's and get it to run 12.40's on radials. I could definitely get it to run an 11 with tires and about 300 less pounds. I just don't want to run it stripped down. I like to run the car how it rides when I'm driving it normally, as far as weight is concerned.

It has a Bassani catback and a JLT cold air. Made 406/385. Runs a little rich up top. Went to around 10:1 A/F after 5800 or so.

Went to the FFW event in Norwalk this past weekend and pulled off a new best on Sunday. Went 12.64@113.12 with a 2.02 60'. Car weighs 3880 with me in it. I weighed it after the run. Not too bad for such a heavy car with radials on it. I guess I'll have to try a set of Mickey drag radials some time.

For all of you Ford guys and girls, Fun Ford Weekend is at Norwalk this weekend. Always seems to be a good time. Only problem is that it is always on the same weekend as Good Guys. Hope to see some of you out there.

I sold the car, I think, in October last year. Had to have been before that. Funny how that stuff works. I've seen people in passing that I hadn't seen in years, but couldn't talk to them because it was usually when I was driving the other way.

Anyone have any idea if there are better places to sell an old car than Pick 'n' Pull? Looking to get rid of my 98 escort ZX2 with a slipping auto trans and the only place I know of is Pick 'n' Pull. Any suggestions welcome.

Sounds like a bunch of stupid kids trying to "protect" their buddy. If your friend wanted to confront this guy why couldn't he do it by himself. The rest of you guys were "just there in case". Maybe next time you stay home and keep yourself out of trouble. Learn your lesson from this. Next time the idiot with the gun might not be so hesitant to pull the trigger. Is something you claim to know nothing about worth your life? I understand backing up friends, but not when you know nothing about what is going on and then proceed to act like a tool. If I was just getting off of work and someone decided to pay me a visit I think I would be a little defensive as well. Not sure why you need a weapon to go to work, but apparently this guy has pissed off a few people. Moral of the story, you go into a stupid situation expect something stupid to happen. Try not to get shot either.

Cobra badges on non cobras are just stupid. When I picked up my Cobra it had that stupid grill snake and it came off the day after I bought it. Looks dumb to me, but what do I know I have cobra badges on the fenders and it says cobra in the back bumper. That's right it is a cobra. Funny how that works. All the rest of the back and forth on this thread is dumb as well, but this kid seems to like the attention.
