  1. I'm from Gahanna too, and I heard about it. Although I didn't know him or anyone in his family, plus having graduated several years ago, it still hits home. Regardless of if we are in a war zone or not, life is very fragile and we could die at any moment. It was so sad to hear about him dying in Iraq, things like that hit close to home.
  2. Let's hope it wasn't for the reasons of which you believe. Let's hope people are grown up enough and smart enough to not distinguish from one color to another and place blame on one or the other, simply because of their skin color. I know there are those ignorant individuals still among us in today's society who, for whatever reason, still choose to classify people strictly by the skin color they have. Let me say that I totally disagree with that and believe that is totally wrong, however, some people do feel that people in general play the "race" card a bit too much when a controversal situation arrises. Just my $0.02
  3. Totally agree. The only thing I'd add, if your really, REALLY serious about catching these people, is get a mini camera of sorts, place it in your car where it cannot be seen, like built into the door or arm rest or something. I'm sure if you get that serious, you'll figure it out. But, if you do that, you'll have video of who did it, and proof enough to take he/she to court and sue them, no shots being fired. Yes, an alarm with the LED set as high as it can go is important, but if you really want to prevent it, catch them in the act, because they will try to do it again, and make them pay, but not in a way that would hurt you physically or financially or legally graemlins/thumb.gif
  4. Trust me, I had one huge blemish on my driving record from a few years ago, and most if not all insurance companies tell you that they are cutting you a break, when they aren't. Hell, I was told my blemish wasn't even on my record anymore by one insurance company, while I was shopping around, and I came to find out later that it actually was. Insurance companies/prices are just like gas companies/prices a huge bunch of bs. Insurance companies also don't care if you've made a mistake and how long ago it was. It's the sad part about this world. People and companies will take advantage of anyone if they can, period.
  5. Hey, the Steelers are my #1 team in the AFC, no question, but overall, I am a Eagles fan. The Eagles got to the super bowl, and what was that? Oh yeah, Pittsburgh didn't. I was really hoping to see them get there too, so that, on the biggest stage in Pro Football, everyone could see who's really the better team. Hopefully this year we may get to see that happen.
  6. See, this is why I have a slow car, so these things don't happen...and dammit, a beer sounds good too right now, think it's time to go to the frig.
  7. Look, this is what you should do. Keep whichever car your grandparents give you and sell the van and the porsche parts that you have. Put the money you get from selling the van and porsche parts in the bank and let it grow interest. Then, GET A JOB. Drive whichever car your given as long as you can, until it either completely falls apart, dies, or you really have to spend alot of money to keep it running. All along, continue to save as much $ as you can. Then, once your around the age of 21, you should be able to handle something sporty and with some good engine power. These next few years riding around in a saturn or a cavalier may seem like an eternity, but believe me, it'll be worth it, as long as you get a job and save all the money you can.
  8. Know what you mean. My friend and I passed there and saw 93 octane for $1.90/gallon. She was so excited. graemlins/thumb.gif after we ran around a bit, we came back, only to find that speedway decided to raise there prices, within an hour timespan. graemlins/bsflag.gif But, thankfully, the place next to speedway was only $2.00/gallon (never thought I'd say "only" when referring to that price), so we stopped, although she wasn't as excited. Gas prices suck. graemlins/doh.gif
  9. Very true. I have had people come up to me and say, nice SI man, when "special edition" is written on the back of the car. graemlins/nonono.gif Then, I have to look at those people who kindly refer to my car as an SI, and say "no, dumbass, read the writing on the bottom of trunk. Then, they come to me and say, "oh, sorry man, could've sworn it was an SI." graemlins/slap.gif Silly, silly ignorant people
  10. Warning, cops are all over that area. Saw many people who were pulled over while driving through there....keep your eyes open.
  11. Are they hiring for anything else, like a detailer or car prep position?
  12. Emailed my resume to them yesterday, haven't heard anything back yet. I was already offered one job, and although it's shitty, it is a paycheck and I am going to take it if nothing else comes up, and, continue looking for something better while I'm employed. Thanks for the advice everyone smile.gif
  13. I agree with the lawsuit. That is unbelievabily fucked up, it's hard to even imagine. I'm sorry Amy. Hopefully you'll get more money back with the lawsuit than what you spent on the engine. Good luck with it and I agree, I sure wouldn't trust houston to "fix" it when all it seems there good for is "fucking" things up every time.

  15. Volvo, Chevy, Nissan, Honda, Pontiac.....it doesn't matter what you have, it's being able to accept what you have. I have a two door grocery getter, as opposed to a 4 door grocery getter, and I don't care, because at least I won't go hungry, hahaha.
  16. Applied with them, they are assholes. Any other companies out there let me know.
  17. Wondered if anyone new of any security positions out there that are available asap. I am currently making an above average hourly rate for a full time security officer, but, thanks to my company wanting to cut costs, my department is being eliminated at the end of the month. I'd prefer an unarmed position, if possible. If anyone knows of any open positions, let me know. smile.gif
  18. Welcome man, and remember, take our humor with a grain of salt.
  19. Dude, this is Nick.....and "can someone get this guy a good mechanic please!" hahaha
  20. I would do her. She has got to be freaky in bed, no doubt about that.
  21. dude, is your name brian bomer? do you work at crowne plaza hotel?
  22. Actually, yes, Jefferson Chase is my prospective place, but, after just having a meeting with my boss, I found out everyone in my department might get layed off, so we'll see what happens now.
  23. Originally, the place I was most interested in is off Waggonner road. I'm going to look at other places in a bit, and I'll keep all interested person's informed as to the results.
