Manual boost controllers work, but they suck. An EBC is worth every penny. Electronic boost controllers give you not only the flexibility to adjust your boost on the fly, but allow you to controll spool and spiking. Controlling spool can be a traction control of sorts if you are at the power level that has traction issues. By dialing the gain down, you can spool slower to allow you to roll into full boost without breaking traction. This also prevents spiking as well. Many EBCs can also be used as a switch for "spool up" Nitrous shots. I had a ProfecB spec II and absolutely loved it.

Mandalay has a tram that runs back and forth to the Excalibur. It puts you right across the street from New York, New York. I stayed at Mandalay last time I was there. I had no concerns whatsoever other than finally finding a pool table in the bar of "the Hotel" (part of Mandalay). Taking a cab can be expensive, and SLOW, in LV due to 2 things. It is very crowded on the strip and the meter is running whether you are moving or not. Secondly, It is illegal for the cabs to pick -up or drop you on the street. They must pull into a hotel/casino drive to do so. I've racked up over $5 in fare within 20 yards of where I wanted to get out, due to this.
