  1. cool. it wont be long before the snow will fall. and then we can race our tow vehicles. and since they are so slow it wont seem like a drag race.

  3. im racing the yukon all winter, in 2 wd or 4wd. so when the snow hits the roll racing 4wds can start.

    WTB, turbo

    those are too small tony. just get any thing t60. or 60-1 size. twin 60-1 can be good to 1100 with intercooler. i told you id help you fool.
  6. i was looking on the lincoln site. there are a few tigs for under 2000.
  7. 220 is what i have the power supply set up for already.ive already got a welder circut wired in.
  8. so what welder should i get? A LINCON, MILLER, i would like one that can tig and also do some mig. but mostly a tig. ive got a lot of stainless steel to weld, and the cage. Any ideas. i dont really want to spend a lot more than 2000.

  11. yea. with the motor im building now to have it going next season a 8.50s and slower would be ok. but with the 406 or 421" motor, i might as well do it right the first time and go for the 7.50s and slower. plus the chrome molly is lighter so more tubes wont mean much more weight. and i want to change stuff arround so i can use some weight in the rear to help with traction. im just trying now to see if the main hoop can be mounted just outside the cockpit in the s10 which would give me about 4 more inches to get in the truck when the funnycar cage is in. the nhra saftey dude is supposed to get back to me on that. all the rule said is within 6" from driver.
  12. did you see howmuch movement there was with the turbos? i wonder if they used something to support them other than the exh flange? but the car is deffinatly badd ass. Hey amy if you looking this is what we need to build for you.

  14. rob if i dont get one buy then it may come to that. i have to get the chassis to certify at least 9.99. but i really want to weld in a complete new cage all chrome molly and 25.2 which is 7.50s and slower. im only plannin on mid 8s. if it goes faster with the turbo than thats cool. i really wouldent care if it ran low 9s. thats prety fast for a street truck. ill have a lot to weld for the turbo headders and and crossover pipe, and downpipe.
  15. I need to buy a tig welder so i can weld up my turbo headers, and crossover pipe and other misc stuff. like the new cage if i go to 25.2. I dont need the best welder. just a good one that is durable and is prety easy to use.
  16. at the street races yes. evan a stock honda runs 8s out there.
  17. ah well. that is a great time and is proably one of the fastest cars that ive seen at the street races. at least you can say its a 10sec car and not be full of shit. evan when we were hanging out at white castle and all the supposed to be fast street cars were there id have to say proably 5 were sub 10 sec cars. and proably 2 were 9s and faster. but if you ask everyone they were all 8 sec cars. lol.
  18. so are you saying that there is no one who makes rearsuspension for a vette? im sure a little better setup and a full slick, with good drive shaft and cv shafts could net a 9 sec carand would also make the damn thing safe for when he wants to run 170 mph on the freeway. Lets see built a 30,000 vett and put shit loads into the motor, and lets say fuck suspension, driveline and brakes. That sounds like a old school hot rodder there. Dont get me wrong what he is running is really impressive. but unlike most on here im still not sucking his e dick. lol
  19. my 60 ft was a 1.42. and if sam had that 60 ft he would deffinatly have a 9 sec car. and the rest of you just need knocked out. really why dont we all get our panies in a bunch because a guy on a fourm wants to know why another guys 60 ft sucks so bad. and why dont they try and fix it. seriously. would you rather have a 10 sec car that goes 130. or a 9 sec car that goes 130. me i think the 9 sec ride would be more fun. and who the hell ever said anything about my s10 being able to handle. I could care less if it takes a turn faster than 25 mph as lon as it gets good lights and is consistant. and i can win some money racing with it. now go fuck yourselfs and get you pannies out of your asses. good job sam.

  21. im just courious why dont you get that damn thing to hook. with the correct 1.4s 60s and that same mph would be a 9 sec car. are you on drag radials if so buy yourself a set of real slicks. id like to see what the cars real potential is. good job though

  23. Just buy my 2wd s10 blazer. its already lowered , new suspension, new v8, and new tranny, could use bigger gears. it has a 3.23. body is in good shape almost ready for paint. 2 door.
