  1. its fixed! and was simple like a carb issue. #1 plug wire was half off the plug. dont really know how it could just fall off but plugged it in and bingo 8 cyl and the over rich was gone. blows the tires off like normal now. thanks for all the help guys. i knew with the 2000 ls1 owners here id get it done before work sun night. im getting new moroso ultra 40s fri and changing the plugs then. still could use someone with a skinny arm for the last plug. i provide a pizza for the help.!
  2. im gona pull the wires and check them right now. also doing new plugs, if anyone with a real skinny arm wants to reach to put the wire back on the back passenger side plug i could use ur help. man that plug and wire is a pita, expecially with a large forearm.
  3. If it had a car it wwould be fixed already.I'm. Putting tr7s in it today there stock wires with the metal shield and none are close to headder. it don't seem like any single cyl sometimes its one then 5 in a row. Its symptoms aren't like any 1 thing in particular. Carb is way more simple. No sensors to fail no 8 inj to misfire or 8 coilpacks to test! I love me come carbs!

  5. I unpluged the maf when it was running and the car changed rpm. I'm gona change the plugs tomorrow
  6. I went 9.01 at 151 with no ic at 15psi. But I'm blowthrough carb and the carb itsself is known to act as a intercooler. Rumor is 25psi is able to run on e85 no ic bt. Efi proably less unless its a small turbo spinning its but off.
  7. Tried to clean the maf and got a new fram air filter nope didn't fix it. When ur car has a code o2 rich and you replace them is it immediate better or do u drive it a while. This miss isint just 1 hole at 2000 rpm its smooth. I've had broken valvesprings and that is a dead miss at higher rpms cause the valve will bounce. Its smoth part throttle beyond 2000 rough below and u can't it. Ill post results after brian scans it.
  8. Don't know about leaks there isint any from the head to the catback there is a leak at the catback where it connects behind the y pipe but that would be to far to creat a false lean.
  9. ok went to autozone got crc mass air cleaner. And a new filter I'm wondering if it maybe got wet from all these nights of rain
  10. Brian is gona scan it today sometime hopefully it shows up. My car don't have a k&n just a fram filter. No oil
  11. i wouldent think maf but ill clean it. drove perfectly to work and for the last few mths, car never really sees rpm over 2000. its all stock just lt headder and ory stock cat back for now.

  13. Hey guys I've drove my car daily for the last mth or so and all was fine. Started to leve work and it had a miss at idle and when at rpm below 1500 it would cut in and out. I let steve see the codes and it shows rear o2s wich I knew cause there unpluged also showed right front 02. I replaced both front o2 sensors but the car is the same. I think I hear a rocker - lifter tick bent pushrod? I tried to floor it and it cuts in and out prety hard. O2 looked rich but they didn't fix it. Any ls1 guys have a idea I can check.

  18. Ill try both company's. I'm a chemical lab quality control supervisor right now and make about 20 hr with 3rd shift diff and incentive. Problem with it is they want us to work 7 days a week with 0 days off again. And I proably wouldent care if it was days but I don't see my kids enuf with the 4 days a mth we get off right now. Wich is why id prefer a m-f week. Also like jegs 7 days a week means 0 racing. Skills and such. Tsa certs and easily bonded Can fab Can build engines transmissions auto or manual Customer service Tons of computer skills and currently about 55wpm typing faster as I get familar with the keyboard [yes there is a diff] I've underwrote for nationwide ins Installed all the data and voice cables for nationwide city wide Closet rebuilds and server installs 10meg/100meg Fiberoptics termination Done quite a few varried things trying to find the right fit. What I do now is easy but the schedule is unacceptable worked 62 days straight through the summer2 yrs ago.

  20. i worked at jegs and they dont pay anywhere close to 16hr and you dont get weekends off. i worked retail. but i did enjoy it, lots of fun talking cars all day
  21. so did you get quick fuel metering blocks? if all you have is the metering blocks you also have to change your air bleeds, for idle and main circuts, and your boosters are for gas and way too small for e85, the blocks alone are not a conversioin like they make you believe, ive known 2 people blow their motors with just the blocks on gas carbs. check horspower innovations, they do cheap e85 carbs
  22. why melt parts with pump 91 when we have e85 everywhere arround us. cheaper than gas and way more power potential, lot less broken parts.
  23. Anyone have a job or know of one that pays 16+hr and u love to work at. I make more now but I'm willing to take a pay cut for something I can enjoy going to daily. Also would like to at least have sun and every other weekend off. M-F daytime is best. I work 3rd now.
