  1. In a turbo app it don't matter if their standing straight up it comes down to where u need it to spool and the size of the turbo exh housing. This is why rear mount turbos work all that piping going to the back of the car slows the spool time but they adj with smaller housings that spool faster. So in a app like this. U need a larger exh housing cause the turbo is closer w more velocity and temp. Very basic exp.

  4. we got my wifes 2001 tahoe with 3 rows ls power 4x4 and it gets about 16mpg. for 8700. it had 73000 miles when we got it. has the tow haul and can easily tow the weight ur talking about also its easy to get to back seating and they remove. did i mention ls power!!!!!!!!!

  6. wana race the s10 i can turn it down wich i am at first cause i got to break it in. yep low 10s for the break in. thats as slow as it will go with the 9lb spring in the gate went a 10.2 at 132 i think with 9lbs and just the gate spring. we could run like that or if i get it broke in and up the boost to the 20s i could run u ill run to the 1/8th and step on the brakes. then see if u can beat me. it ran 10.000 with the 15lb setting and brakes from 1/8th to 1/4 mark at 88 mph. u saw it at the last track rental doing this
  7. id think ud get away with mid low 9s ok. that almost 7 sec tune i dont think the track is smooth enuf not that it wouldent be a hoot to watch.
  8. almost all pre obd2 gm consoles use the same plugs evan the painless kits use the std gm connectors. wich is why u ask for a gm kit.

  14. a 210 runner on a afr is a big diff from a 210 runner on a patriot head so keep that in mind but a 195 runner will make good power to about 7000. and thats about all the piston speed a hyper piston can handle. a 210 would make better tq and rev up to arround 7500. but would require more comp usually and a big cam. if your goal is 400 hp and proably more tq id go with the 195s. if they are patriot heads then its up to you. 210s will loose low end with a little more tq in a higher range. im running afr 210s eleminator heads. i have a .626 roller and typically shift at 7300. but these are able to go arround 8000 if need be. look at your magazine builds for 383s usually the max effort ones arround 600 hp use a 210 or 220 runner.

  16. Sorry guys my phones been a lil crazy with the double posts. Id bet the green hornet would hook for shure on a hard leave. Ur doing better than good with that pos 10 bolt. Hell I'm ready to swap mine and its stock still. Mark id like to see ur car run there but on a 9.0 tune I really don't think that track would allow almost 7s with a irs car too bumpy

  18. If ud ditch that junk 10 bolt add a 9" and leave with some real boost I bet that turd hooks just fine. No car is gona work when u can't hit the tire hard enuf. Most low 10 sec cars are right in the 1.35 to 1.4 range

Specs so far: eagle 383 crank 4340 forged rods speed pro hypereutectic 11.5:1 pistons also have piston rings and main studs built turbo 400 trans holley 750 cfm carb why do u think this is a 1/4 mile setup. are you planning on somehow spraying 500 on the hyper pistons. or am i missing something. go with 190s the 210s will kill this motor.
  22. do u know at power it was at when it blew. I know a few stock ls1s arround 700.
