You know, I actually have seen an electric SUPERcharger that actually worked. It increased power by about 50hp... Unfortunately, the motor that drove the CSC they used as a turbine weighed about 45lbs, and the pack of batteries they used to run that weighed well over 200lbs. Oh, and they had to use 3/4" thick cable to handle the current. It was a slight overall gain in the quarter. Of course, if they had just run a belt for the CSC, they would have doubled the HP gain, and cut 245lbs of extra weight...

Wasn't there something going around about how Cheaper Than Dirt and Sportsman's Guide were voluntarily turning over ammo purchase records to the ATF?

I have had it with these people and their shitty book-keeping. They're trying to charge me $30 for a water bill from February of last year. They say when they switched over to the new flat-rate billing system, they missed a monthly charge. Understand, I have the note in hand saying that the payments to them begin March 1st, and the charge was for February... Meanwhile, they're claiming the $30 balance has been on there since then, but they have NEVER attempted to collect, or even notified us of a balance against us till yesterday. Not even when we renewed the lease in September. In fact, they keep screwing up our rent amount and sending us notes that we have a $5 CREDIT every month. So basically, as far as I know, this "debt" originated yesterday in somebody's fevered imagination. Now the bitch who manages the place is refusing to give me the number for the owner(her direct supervisor), AND she's saying that the owner may refuse to accept this month's rent without the additional charge! So, I'm eating lunch, then I'm going over to the Columbus Urban League to file a complaint and find out how to get these fuckers to eat their own stupid mistake and start obeying the damn law. Oh, yeah, the manager thing also said they can just take the balance out of next month's rent. I told her she can try taking it out of an escrowed payment. BTW, anybody ever hear of a ledger program that can't be edited to correct an entry mistake? They're claiming theirs can't be edited...FUCKING FAIL.

Get used to more life being sucked out of the Campus area. Most of the businesses along the North Campus Orange Barrel Blockade will be gone even before the moved-up October finish. BS. Say what you want about quirkiness, but GM was the best thing that happened to SAAB in decades. The GM motors are more reliable, more efficient, and more powerful than anything SAAB was doing beforehand. BTW, I assume that means Volvos are all shit because Ford bought them, and Fords are all rolling deathtraps. Can your Ford/GM rivalry bullshit and look at SAAB honestly, and they're damn nice cars. Depends on what distance you're talking about. At the muzzle, the T-Rex is more powerful, but at a couple thousand yards downrange, the .50BMG is going to have far more hitting power left. T-Rex=big game at short range .50BMG=armored targets at medium to long range.

I want you guys to notice something here... The only guy in that vid who had any idea what he was doing with a big-game rifle was the last guy in the vid, and he wasn't firing a T-Rex...notice the different bolt? .700 Nitro Express, a bit less powerful than the T-Rex, but a far better round simply for the fact that IF you miss, you can take a second shot because you're not on your ass. I've fired a .700 break-action, though, and that thing knocked all 300lbs of me back about three and a half steps and left me bruised from nipple to elbow...

Actually, it doesn't really mean all that much. It's just a statement of disapproval, not any kind of binding legislation. It's the equivalent of an angry letter. Still, it's heartening to see more and more states making these statements of disapproval. Just as a measure of the political climate right now, it's reassuring.

Tell you what, the DVD is gonna be interesting, because I feel confident saying there is going to be an alternate ending...They showed enough unused scenes in teasers and in the Last Frakkin Special to tell me they filmed almost an entire alternate episode. One of the scenes in question couldn't fit into the show anywhere beyond that, and completely contradicts events in the actual episode. Another points to a totally different resolution between human and Cylon.
