  1. 12th September 2014 09:51 AM Today (15th September 2014) 04:44 PM So it's got maybe a week's worth of extraordinary content. Yeah, I'll wait til this is a bargain bin "classic". Not making the same fucking mistake I made with Watch_Dogs.
  2. OP is located in Houston, a TON of SUVs and trucks are 2WD in the south. I'd go Ram for sure, I think their new offerings are fantastic. gf's dad has a Longhorn edition 1500 and that thing is awesome. No rust either.
  3. Fuckin' hell that's awesome. I love Buick wagons, I'd love something like that if I had the money or space.
  4. 1) get a really good homeowner's insurance policy 2) throw that bitch down the stairs 3) ??? 4) profit
  5. wiggles vs imstock for apex ricer cred. the keyboard war would be historic.
  6. Wait, is it 5WD??? Cuz then the Subaru fanbois will lose their sense of superiority.
  7. Srs question; is he a 15 year old ricer? "I can't drive yet but when I do, I'm gonna get a Lambo and multicharge it; it'll have 3 staged turbos, a supercharger, and an electric supercharger made from Tesla technology and the wheels will be made from ultra light Mars rocks and I'm gonna inflate the tires with helium to make it lighter"
  8. Every generation has a uniting moment. For some it was D-Day, for others it was Kent State, for us it was 9/11. These moments shape our future for better or worse, but it's up to us to determine the direction and we must be ever vigilant to ensure that direction is towards future progress, not toward repeating past mistakes. THAT is why we must never forget those who were lost in our defining moment, and the others who gave their lives to steer us towards progress.
  9. Going, going GONE he really hit that one outta the park, didn't he Johnny
  10. 99% of non-analog watches look like shit.
  11. Yeah if the Honda Civic was $30k for a base model. Posted prices are subsidized, full retail ranges from $649 16GB 6 to $949 128GB 6+. My GS4 is as much phone as I'll ever need, I'll hold out until this thing breaks/slows down/becomes obsolete then I'll just get whatever modern version of it is, probably the GS6 or 7 or whatever.
  12. First car that I drove regularly was a 1997 Toyota Celica ST. 100hp. Second car (and the first that was actually mine) was a 1959 Chevy Apache 3200. 7000 lbs, 22ft long, 1 wheel wonder. I still remember the first time the back got out on me, I had it for about a week and it was springtime, rain had just come down enough to lift the grease and grime on the road and I had no traction. It's not like a sports car where you throw a dab of opposite and control it. This thing was like drifting a UPS truck. Never really pushed the throttle very hard after that.
  13. Weird, looking earlier today I saw the whole thing and I don't subscribe. Changed the link from wsj to bbc.
  14. If an ultra-low mile 2007 335i Convertible 6-speed manual sounds good I may be able to help...PM me. Or if that doesn't suit you, Audi RS6.
  15. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/formula1/29138322 Not sure how many of you follow this kind of stuff, but if you're into F1 you'll definitely want to know; Luca di Montezemolo has quit as Chairman of Ferrari. Not just the F1 program, everything. He and Marchionne have been butting heads for a while about the direction of Ferrari, with di Montezemolo wanting to keep production numbers very low to maintain exclusivity and high resale and Marchionne wanting to expand the lineup and production capacity to catch up with VAG's supercar offerings in terms of sales numbers. I disagree with the WSJ's analysis in that regard. I think the humiliation at Monza was the breaking point for both of them, but this is still amazing.
  16. Dealer =/= dealers. That's not a dealer colluding with CarFax, that's a shady dealer pulling some shady dealer shit. Moral of the story: don't deal with shady dealers. Problem is, they often stoop to the greasiest tricks and offer the most insane prices (right before they screw you) so they stay in business.
  17. Ahhh yeah I always forget about the F&F program. I've only done one of those but I believe you're correct; different program code, same price as CARP (PP on invoice sheets which F&F/CARP customer are entitled to see).
  18. I don't know anyone personally in the Dublin area, but I know Fiji ST on here works in the Byers group (not at Chrysler) he could probably recommend you someone reputable within his group.
  19. Who do you and your wife work for? Lot of companies qualify for Chrysler Affiliates Rewards Program pricing; 1% under invoice + $75 admin fee, then all applicable rebates. I can set you up with someone good at my Chrysler store but they're in Lancaster. Otherwise I can ask around for a good recommendation in your area if no one on CR can help.
  20. It isn't so. If anything, CarFax has been fucking dealers since day 1; not because they are making it easier for consumers to see history (that's a good thing) but because major dealers now need to lay out a significant subscription fee every month to have CarFaxes show up on their websites.
  21. There always is. Switching VINs for a clean CarFax is definitely misrepresentation and is not protected by the "sold as-is" defense. Good to hear you were vindicated, I didn't want to trash Bobb before the details came out but I've heard some equally horrific stories. I occasionally get screamed at on the phone because people can't tell the difference between Bobb and Bob-Boyd (we don't even have a Chevy store).
  22. No offense, but I don't believe you. Laws tend to favor dealers in these situations. Unless they had a specific in-writing guarantee that the car had never been in a collision, you'd really have no ground to stand on, especially since CarFax and Autocheck are not required to report the same info.
  23. Still only 1 of 400 (and declining). Exclusivity is definitely a factor of coolness.
  24. Yes, they guarantee that if it was in a reported wreck that doesn't show up, you get your money back. The problem is that the wrecks ARE showing up. They have no obligation to have the issues reported before you buy the car. Trust me, CarFax covers their ass like no other.
