  1. Unless the SECDEF has been removed from the Cabinet, there was at least 1 WH official at Major General Greene's funeral. Additionally, there is no set precedent for WH officials attending military funerals, even for higher ranking officials. But don't let the truth hold up a good meme. EDIT: You know what, I'm also gonna call this meme out for the racist pile of shit it is. Show a black dude in a shady pose flippin' the bird in an unflattering way with accusations that have in no way been substantiated yet, but show the white military man at his best in front of an American flag in his Class A's. Why not flip it around? Show Brown at his absolute best, show Greene in a candid moment. Fuck this meme.
  2. I think gov't funded nonprofit is different than being gov't employee.
  3. I am not a lawyer but: DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Anything she can record; emails, calls, anything. Even if she can't physically record anything, document the dates and times that incidents occur. Build a file, that'll only help her case.
  4. When Corvettes and Vipers get in a pissing contest, everybody wins :megusta:
  5. If anyone wants to know more just let me know, my parents live 10 minutes away from the seller. And I know my dad's good friend would go gaga just to see that thing.
  6. Are you kidding? Smoking most sports cars off the line in a mommy-mobile? It'd be amazing. I'd pay good money to see a decathlon of race styles between a Hellcat T&C and a MB R63 AMG: drag, auto-x, drift, road course (Laguna Seca), street circuit (Monaco GP circuit), rally (Finland), oval (Talladega or Indy), endurance (Dakar or Cannonball), single Nürburgring lap, and Pike's Peak Hill Climb (or maybe Isle of Man?)
  7. Very interested. Currently in the process of moving, so I'll measure my space and let you know.
  8. Very good points. I'm in no position to be a Porsche guy yet, but I've always found the vanilla 911 to be...well, vanilla.
  9. I know it's a crazy idea, but could it be time to retire the vanilla 911 in favor of the Cayman? Let the Cayman be what it was originally designed to be (as good as it can be, and faster than an equivalent 911). The 911 can become a halo car of sorts, purely in Turbo/Turbo S/GT3/GT2 spec. Cayman can fill the range, from base Cayman spec (entry level) up to GT4 to compete with the "lower" range of 911s.
  10. I believe the thrust of the quote from the Sheriff was "we're not militarized, we're just using Tactical Operations" :dumb: Google "tactical operations" and see how many military-related results appear.
  11. I just replaced my Burner with an R11 and absolutely love it.
  12. What's "nice"? Blades, cavity backs, old man hybrids? My buddy is ALWAYS trying to upgrade his clubs and sell a set. I think he currently has a set of nike blades, not sure though. I have a Burner 2.0 driver/3W pair I'd sell, both are flexible shafts though.
  13. never tried this but now i'm gonna
  14. Our thoughts are with you, hoping for a positive outcome. Strength is relative and while you may feel weak and helpless in her time of need, know that your wife has and always will know you as the strongest person in her life.
  15. tomatoes, jalapenos, red onion, cilantro, garlic, fresh squeezed lime juice. chop and throw that shit in a food processor. don't fuck it up by getting fancy. that is literally all you need for a perfect fresh summer salsa edit: salt and pepper to taste.
  16. It's only invisible until you shine a xenon light through a 5+ carat diamond and say a prayer to Bernie Eccelstone.
  17. I'd read there was one wound in his arm that could have been shot from behind, or conceivably from the front if his hands were over his head. I still don't believe anything besides I don't think either the officer or the victim will get the justice they deserve. I don't know what either deserves, but they won't get it. Hence my apprehension for any and all witness statements from either side of the issue.
  18. I hear the only reason we haven't seen a dyno graph is even he doesn't have enough money for the amount of ink it'd take to print such a large number. Of course he would only print it on solid gold using JP-5 as ink because they're the only things fast and conductive enough to harness those kind of HP numbers.
  19. They are trained as to the maximum allowable force given a set of circumstances, but yes, they are primarily trained to de-escalate and avoid extreme circumstances as much as possible. Has anyone thought to ask this; how well-trained is an officer that allegedly allows a suspect so close to him that he loses control of his sidearm?
  20. An impulsive call for violence? That's a very thug-like attitude if you ask me.
  21. You're absolutely right. My uncle's brother in law was shot to death by an officer in Louisiana earlier this year. He was having a manic episode during withdrawal from alcoholism and police were called to try to calm him down. He was holding a kitchen knife (like a butter knife, not a chef's knife) and refused orders to drop it. Instead of trying to taser him, or baton him, or gas him, the officer elected to shoot him with a shotgun despite all his neighbors and his wife watching and screaming to the officer "DON'T SHOOT". My girlfriend's first roommate was killed by officers in his house in March. While he claimed to family members to have a gun, he was not known to be in possession of one and no firearm was found on his body. He was shot 16 or so times by 4 officers. No taser was used. There has been mass censorship in the local media about it. Both instances were white-on-white.
  22. You could have one hand holding them, one hand on the weapon, and be telling them you'll make a 9mm hole in their head if they don't type exactly what you say. Specious reasoning gets us nowhere towards informed debate.
  23. It's so hard to keep this debate free of racial assumptions, but dammit I'm trying.
