  1. I bet you can't wait for the first time you hand a valet your ticket and say "its the Jaaaaaaaaag" :lolguy: congrats!
  2. Only thing I've seen them succumb to is rust, that car's in Huntsville.
  3. Another vote for the Roadmaster Estate. Big V8 + RWD + gobs of space what more could you want? I think under $12k a lot of the Audis you'll find are somewhat ragged out. The V70R is a great option but IMO the experience of being inside a Volvo is snoozeworthy. The LGT would get my vote, might have to stretch upward in price range for a worthy candidate though.
  4. Are bobcats common here? My parents live in CT where the population has almost been wiped out but has begun to recover, and they have a few foxes and bobcats that live in the area around their house (they're on a large hill near a state park). EDIT: Can't let this gem go unrecognized :lolguy:
  5. Honestly the most dangerous thing this morning was the lack of consistently plowed lanes. I was driving in the right lane and all of a sudden it just turned into a 3 foot snowbank in the middle of a turn.
  6. With the Lincoln MKS wheels from 2009-11 http://images.newcars.com/images/car-pictures/original/2011-Lincoln-MKS-Sedan-Base-4dr-Front-wheel-Drive-Sedan-Exterior-Wheel.png Link due to massive image size
  7. Point taken. I personally think the Genesis 4.6 is one of the best values on the market today.
  8. They're nice cars for sure, but they can't hold a candle to Lexus.
  9. That depends, do you have easy access to a car with obscured plates and a burlap sack? Really though, talk to an attorney.
  10. a Lexus will not only insulate you from the ravages of shitty traffic, but it will do so more consistently for longer than the Merc will. Old Mercs can be comfy for sure, but a friend of mine traded in an old Lexus LS and even 13 years old that thing was more luxurious than most new Mercs IMO.
  11. I'm sure they do great work and all, but seriously. No one said "You know it kinda looks like we have Irritable Bowel Syndrome"?
  12. This time of year all the good places will be booked up for weeks if not months.
  13. How about it's luxury cousin, Lincoln MKS Ecoboost? Get one CPO that's a year or two old and a majority of the bad depreciation is gone, especially on a loaded one. For example No, I don't think it'll be on the same level as an E350 or ES350. But for the price, I don't believe you'll find more goodies anywhere.
  14. wide board or regular width? i wear a 13 boot
  15. because the powerplant manufacturer that's having the most problems right now should be the ones explaining the new motors to us :lolguy: cool video nonetheless
  16. I'm gonna celebrate by driving 55 in the left lane with my left blinker on and pulling right across 4 lanes of traffic .04 feet before my exit.
  17. Then I consider this wonderful message was brought to me by the same man who left me this rep: and my head explodes.
  18. It is. My theory is that it's based on the aerodynamics of a majority of the tracks going clockwise vs counterclockwise. I don't think the rules would allow a mirror-shaped one for the opposite tracks though.
  19. This. When I got my first violation (46 in a 25, mandatory court appearance b/c i was 16) I dressed to the nines and the magistrate didn't even talk about suspending my license, which was a possible outcome due to my age. Kid before me also was dressed well and his paraphenalia charge was dropped. Kid between us looked like a slacker idiot and got the book thrown at him.
  20. For a first time offense I have to believe they'll cut a deal. I hope Ohio someday scraps OSHP and Sheriffs and goes to a State Police force. Despite the general annoyingness of police in MA, I never got the sense from the Stateys that they were gung ho on stupid bullshit like traffic stops because they have actual crimes to investigate. Makes no sense IMO to have an entire police force dedicated to traffic stops (OSHP).
  21. Go to court. Speak to prosecutor. Explain your goals and her situation. Pay court costs and fine for something small like "muffler violation" or some other made up infraction. EDIT: not sure about Fairfield that's how I handled it in Franklin.
  22. The thing they love about the lease is the short term. A customer who is in a 36 month least is EXTREMELY likely to come back and lease or buy another vehicle from the same brand and likely the same dealership. The reason is the car's not old enough to have problems, and because it's still under warranty, most likely the customer has been in to that same dealership for their maintenance and has not had to pay anything or very much at all out of pocket for repairs. When you stretch that out to 60 or 72 months, which is the average finance/purchase term, the likelihood of a person being a repeat customer drops to about 5%. Dealers don't like that. Cash buyers are the MOST price conscious and the LEAST dealership loyal, generally speaking. I personally don't care how someone's paying for their car, as long as we have a good professional relationship and they treat me with respect I will bend over backwards to get them what they want.
  23. Truth. Considering the cocknose + new powerplant + weather, lap times are pretty much the least significant thing to come from testing. They're really just making sure the cars work, and maybe some preliminary dial-in for their various programs but there's definitely no competition. It's just about making sure the cars respond how they're supposed to with the changes.
