  1. I think they made a serious effort to put in a lot of the things that people have asked for in the last 4 games. I'm thrilled they decided to go back to Los Santos and the rural surrounding areas for this game, IMO the biggest problem with IV was the lack of lights due to the Liberty City buildings blocking everything. Also, fuck yeah planes and military bases. http://metro.co.uk/2013/09/10/is-this-the-official-gta-5-map-3957372/
  2. To think that we are totally devoid of responsibility for the environment changing around us is foolish. To think that we are the the main source of environmental change is also foolish. The earth lasted long before our species and will survive long after.
  3. That was exactly my experience going there too. "Yeah, I'm looking to spend $1000." "This $3000 setup is perfect for you, let me tell you why!"
  4. They're all super good guys, especially Josh, but every so often they send a car back to us that makes me wonder who the fuck OK'd it leaving their shop. They always make it right for me though. Did they not attempt to make it right for you?
  5. When I had my '59 Apache I looked into doing a front end conversion to get discs on the front. You think a '71 Le Mans is a tank, try a 3.5 ton truck with 4xdrums! Either way, for me it was the necessity for new wheels that stopped me. I didn't want to replace the original turqoise wheels/chrome caps/whitewall tires. FWIW, the Apache had a 327 bored .030 over with federal mogul pistons and a holley 4bbl mated to a 4 on the floor. I loved that thing, miss it all the time.
  6. What is it about your car that you want to change? Obviously the specifics have been mentioned, but is it the speed that's not satisfying? The appearance? The driving experience? I'd say take some time to REALLY think about what would truly improve that car to you beyond just your desire to tinker. If it's fast enough, pretty enough, and comfortable/fun enough for you as is, don't do a damn thing.
  7. You have netflix? Archer is instant streaming...
  8. Aqua Teen Hunger Force. If you like Venture Bros and Bob's Burgers, you need to check out Archer.
  9. I completely disagree. IMO it explained so much about Walter White and was one of the most unique single TV episodes I've ever seen.
  10. Top Gear isn't so much a TV series as it is a religion. I forgot to mention Band of Brothers, obviously a miniseries but a must watch/read for everyone.
  11. Breaking Bad is a great show and it's done so well in every way. The Wire is the same IMO. The big thing for me is that so much of The Wire is based in reality, written from David Simon's experiences riding along with the Baltimore PD. I also love how it tackles 5 different points of view in big ways, one for each season. S1 is about the nuts and bolts of the drug trade, especially the detectives vs. dealers/traffickers. S2 is about how the longshoremen factor in and gives you a slew of new characters. S3 is about how politics factor in, and is IMO the absolute best season of the show. S4 takes you through the schools and how the drug trade starts before kids know they're involved. S5 is I think the most personal to Simon, as it wanders into the Baltimore Sun's offices to give you a glimpse as to how the media affects drug trade and vice versa. It also ties together a lot of the experiences of the former seasons (politics still play a huge role). Edit: and whoever said TPB, atodaso. I fuckin atodaso.
  12. Maybe they'll think you're rude, or maybe they've still got a toaster oven in the basement given to them at their wedding and they'll be sitting there thinking "I wish I asked for cash when I got married."
  13. It's good enough that, just like Sopranos, there's a 99.9% chance someone you know has the whole series on DVD. ask around to borrow them, and budget your time because it's really easy to get sucked into a 9 hour time warp of watching it. Also, it does help to have someone who's seen it before guide you through season 1 cuz there's a ton of characters and converging/diverging story lines.
  14. How in the actual fuck has none of you put The Wire on this list. Besides that, Sopranos, Arrested Development and (nerd alert) Star Trek TNG.
  15. Very interested, can't text today but if you can text pics to 614 499 1112 it'd be greatly appreciated
  16. As a lifelong (Bledsoe era included) Patriots fan, I have an unmatched hatred of Peypey. Still, he's one of the best in the history of the game, he's done a lot of good in his communities (Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St Vincent's), and it was fun to watch a master at work last night.
  17. I used to have a 12W3 (I think that was it...I sold it to Fubar's friend a while back) in a ported box powered by a Kicker ZX amp that easily outmatched my friends twin Infinity Kappa 10s. IMO JL's midrange options are the best bang for $.
  18. Could be that there was more than just front end. I've seen instances where minor front end damage broke motor mounts and caused major drivetrain issues. Was it that the previous seller WOULDN'T provide history, or COULDN'T. Big difference. I wouldn't buy from anyone who would stonewall me on the history of a car for any reason other than it's not accessible. GL to your friend, make sure he makes it clear to anyone that buys the car from him that the cars are salvage title and being sold AS IS in a bill of sale to keep him safe.
  19. I don't think anyone here's mad, I'm just saying it's a shame he only had to suffer for 1 month, a fraction of the time he forced other people to suffer. Just like Hitler, got the easy way out. And like I say in every other death penalty/prison cost thread, send those fuckers to a work camp in Siberia, deprive them of all their rights, and force them to live in absolute inhuman squalor for the rest of their pathetic lives. The only fate worse than death is to be forced to live a life as something subhuman.
  20. Chrysler T&C is consistently the best talked-about van. I've talked to many a person who hates their newer Odyssey, and people can't seem to get rid of their Nissan Quests fast enough. No real numbers to back claims up but just my experience.
  21. Also considering that he was directly supervised every 30 minutes, and that a hanging death by asphyxia (where the neck doesn't snap) can take up to 20 minutes for certain death, there COULD have been something they could to to revive him...if they were motivated.
  22. This, and make it happen on Lake Erie so it's doubly nasty. Almost as bad as the Ganges.
  23. This remains to be seen. I know he has family that are none too fond of him, hopefully they won't sue. That could potentially be costly.
  24. a Caniac is basically a 1200 calorie sleeping pill for me. Itis like whoa. My friends all swear Cane's has got nothing on Zaxby's though.
