  1. He kept those women locked up for as much as a decade, I was hoping he'd rot for at least half that long before someone shanked him. Honestly, a suicide is disappointing; he was afforded so much more control over his own life and death than he afforded to his victims. As always, I think the punishment should fit the crime; he kept women chained and treated them like animals, he should've been treated the same. Let him live naked in a prison sub-basement with a ceiling only 3 feet high. Or you know, put a gun to his head and pull the fucking trigger til it goes "click", to quote Jesus. Glad he's gone, I just wish it wasn't his choice when he went.
  2. That is the definition of a Frankencar. I also can't imagine that if Carroll Shelby were alive today he'd mate a V8 to a giant fart cannon like that POS has. Kill it with fire.
  3. when you put the style of that next to the V70R, I think the Volvo is the clear winner.
  4. This. From a business standpoint, it's a risky venture getting into a vehicle with a salvage title. You're putting your company name behind every car you sell, so a lot of guys will just call up a wholesaler to see what they'd buy it for and pass that number along to the customer. We have 0 interest in salvage title cars.
  5. Frank is a good friend of our business, whenever I order lunch on Friday he gives me a freaking giant helping of the Peasant Tortellini which is awesome. DJ is right on with Skillet, but you need to go early. No reservations, and there's only like 9 tables. As fresh a meal as you'll get in Columbus I always recommend The Pearl to everyone i talk to. Their raw oyster bar is awesome, and so is their regular menu. Little bit of everything. I've recently been to Arch City Tavern. Much more of a gastropub style atmosphere than a classy restaurant but their food is fantastic. If you're looking to travel a bit, Veritas Tavern in Delaware is run by a couple friends of mine. Insanely unique molecular gastronomy, you'll think its idiotic until you taste it. They're masters at what they do.
  6. I have an OCZ that's never failed on me. Then again, it's been sitting completely empty for a year.
  7. another vote for this. I got an H80i came with 2 fans, my CPU usually runs at 6*C, running Sleeping Dogs on Ultra at 60FPS it's at 21*C. Doesn't hurt that DJ advised me and installed the whole setup basically :dumb:
  8. I almost got the Graphite tower, ended up with an NZXT which I'm (astonishingly) satisfied with. That's a sexy build though.
  9. Call Gentile's on King Ave, they're mostly wine but they have a good selection of beers too. (614) 486-3406
  10. I can hear that engine note in my head, what a great car. 964 will always be my favorite Porsche. I've always loved the simple look of the turbo twist wheels on the 964, but those gold BBS are sick too.
  11. No worries, I'm not hurting for it or anything. The backupPod is doing fine in it's stead.
  12. My Italian (born and raised in Genova) coworker says this is the only true Italian place in Columbus. I'm inclined to agree.
  13. DO IT. Seriously, my buddy had a 1996 Roadmaster Estate (same car), Barney purple with the wood siding. That thing could haul an entire apartment's worth of crap, could lay down rubber, and had OG backup sensors (2 rear-facing seats in the trunk). They're extremely comfortable and inexpensive to maintain as far as his experience. Also, did my iPod go to the great circuit board in the sky?
  14. Something people never seem to understand: Retail value of parts: $9000 Resale value of parts: $5000 if you're lucky/patient Added value of parts to vehicle they're mounted on: $0 That, combined with this: "The bad Is the power steering is not hooked up do to a leaky hose. The car could use a better tune, sometimes after longer drives coming up to a light or stop the car trys to die out." Makes me think this is about a $2000 car.
  15. Donked Buick Roadmaster Estate /thread
  16. To hell with your requirements, get a CTS-V wagon.
  17. PM me for info, but like I said there's some pretty deep discounts on loaded ST3s due to lack of demand for that particular trim. If you'd take one in Tangerine Scream you'll get a hell of a deal, as dealers can't move those as easily.
  18. Are you dead set on MS3? I know it has a bigger turbo, but you can get some pretty sick deals on Focus ST these days, dealers want them off the lot.
  19. If you didn't die, prove it. I want to see a long form certificate of non death.
  20. He's saying he thinks his equity in the car is $10k, aka he owes $5k and it's worth $15k. EDIT: Not to mention that he gets his county's tax rate (Franklin is 6.75) in credit from his trade-in value. So if he gets $15k for his trade in, regardless of what he owes, he doesn't have to pay $1,012.50 in tax if he trades in on a new car.
  21. I'm 100% against the death penalty. Before you rage against me, hear me out. There is a fate much much worse than death. Siberian prison! Pay them $10,000 per prisoner, 1/3 of what it costs to incarcerate someone in America (on average, OH is $25k/yr), and let them be deprived of everything except life so they can truly suffer.
  22. I agree, but the punishment should be laid out such that they don't know their execution date; it'll only happen at some random point in the future when the executioner is bored.
  23. I've always enjoyed the hell out of FWD. I feel like in order to push the limits of a modern RWD or AWD car on regular roads it takes a lot of dangerous driving. It's relatively easy to push the limits of a FWD car more of the time because, well, the limits are much lower. What you drive isn't as important as how you drive it. If you think the R32 allows you to drive it the way you want and you're satisfied with that, don't change it. If you drive the MS3 and think it adds enjoyment to your driving, as my FWD hatch does for me, then go for it and enjoy your life. http://cdn.crackberry.com/sites/crackberry.com/files/kevin/hatersgonnahate.jpg
  24. Typical CR. Someone posts a supercharged big block V8 truck and the peanut gallery chimes in with "shoulda got something else." Wikipedia thinks you've got an Allison 1000 transmission but I'm disinclined to trust it.
  25. I've got a warped-as-shit front plate mount in my spare tire compartment, should I ever need to plead the "see, I can't mount it properly until I get a new one!" defense.
