  1. Extremely dangerous? What 30 people a year get killed from street racing accidents? How many people a year get killed from second hand smoke greg? Whats the difference you die in the end! People have sued, successfully, tabbaco companies, haven't they? I'm not going to go as far as saying smokers should be charged with murder, but take a waitress for example, it would be like she got in thousands of little fender benders from street racers that eventually killed her. Your only motive is supporting something that you are addicted to, with no regard for anyone else.
  2. Its a shame you are wrong. 2% of the cars create 90% of the pollution. Are those cars the modified cars with no cats? Nope, they are the old smoking jallopies you see driving down the road. The cars that shouldnt be on the road because of emmissions you can generally point out while driving. Beyond that its a different situation, if my car doesnt have cats, its not bothering you while you're eating dinner or trying to hang out at a bar or club. If I drive by you on the road and you cough and have to take a shower and wash your clothes when you get home because they smell like exhaust then you have a point, but thats not the case. And yes, my tailpipe emissions would be within spec.
  3. Its about common courtesy, just because you enjoy doing something doesn't mean that everyone should have to deal with the side effects. If people had the slightest bit of common courtesy to go outside and smoke if its something they enjoy that much then the MAJORITY wouldn't have to step in and make a ban like this. I'm all for civil liberties, but I also believe that people should have a certain amount of respect for others, which they generally don't have (mainly because people are idiots). I should have to leave somewhere because of someone else's habit. Thats like saying that if someone doesn't like us street racing then they should stay off the street. Pure ignorance. Its kinda pointless to argue about it because obviously the majority feel the same way I do. Thank god for democracy. Rob

    Vote

I drove to delaware to vote (thats were I'm registered) and it took me all of 5 minutes to vote.
  5. Why dont you help me then, I suck.
  6. Hatecore is god damn retarded. I dont like labels, but hatecore goes against everything that straight edge stands for, straight edge WAS (I say was because its dead) a NON-violent movement. Now someone answer a math problem for me. Whats f"(x) of f'(x)= -2sin(4x^6)*24x^5
  7. I'll deal with you later graemlins/leghump.gif
  8. A turbo motor with a bunch of boost. HMMMMMM, I wonder why it would be rich with timing out of it? Thats very normal.
  9. Yeah, its a turbo motor from an XR4Ti with everything but the turbo, it has a harness and EEC and all that jazz.
  10. How can I undercut you if you give stuff away for free.

HOLY SHIT! I want to headbutt myself to death.
  12. Probably at larue none the less. Thats where a mod like that fits in.
  13. That engine isn't by any means "reliable" at the horse power level, though reliable is a rough word with ANY engine at that level, I'd want something a little more stout that a stock 03 cobra shortblock. Will it do it? Obviously. Will it do it with some amount of safety? Mehhhh.... Then again we've tuned a few 600+rwhp KB 03 cobras running 24+psi and they seem to hold up pretty well, that's with a bunch of timing out of them, you cant imagine how ineffective those stock intercoolers get at that boost level with a Kenne bell.
  14. THATS A GREAT IDEA! That way when the welds break you DIRECTLY into the wall! I wouldn't ever even willfully go down the track next to a car that had welded spider gears and ran anything faster than 14's. Not to mention on a IRS car it would destroy CV's in a few hundred miles. Rob
  15. You forgot the cost of the fuel system, and either a SCT BA MAF that will support 700+rwhp which isnt out yet or a stand alone. They must have made an adapter late, which it doesnt look like, or machine the intake somehow to fit those heads. The 01 heads have a different intake port than the 03's.
  16. LOL! Nice. We did the same thing, with the same symptons in the mustang last Friday (it has a thorsen diff in it). 1.5 60's on drag radials in a 3800lbs car will do that. smile.gif You need something other than a thorsen diff. Like a ford 8.8" solid axle.

    84 Mustang SVO

He must have fixed that, when I test drove it you couldnt get into boost or it would fall on its face. The steering was incredably loose, the driver seat also needed to be fixed (it rocked pretty bad). Its just not worth the kind of money he is asking, you can pick them up for ~$2500 or so in the shape that one is in. It might be a 'rare' car, but its still just a mustang. If the price went down I might be interested, but not at what is being asked.

    84 Mustang SVO

It also has a wicked boost leak, holes in the drivers door, and needs a new rack, or at least it did when I test drove it a few years ago. How Negotiable is the price? IMHO its not worth that much in the condition its in...
  19. Call Kelly @ creative customs (740) 362-0694 He will be at the shop late tonight and I'm sure he'd be happy to help you out.
  20. Your spout connector is near the air meter in on the passenger fender well, not close to the distributor.
  21. Read what don wrote above. Pay attention to what Jerry said when we asked him what we should do with your car while it was on the dyno. My point is, what we did was in your better interest, thats not a bad move on our part and 100% right of us to do, IMHO.
  22. The facts are: Wet kits on returnless cars WILL work, will they work correctly? Someone who reads plugs might say sure. Watch one on a wideband and tell me the same because you can't. With a fuel pressure safety switch you get nasty oscillations that are NOT correct. With NO fuel pressure safety switch you get a massive drop in fuel pressure when the fuel solenoid opens, this is a fact. The EEC's feed forward PID controller CANNOT react fast enough to compensate for this immediately, this is a fact. The combination of the massive drop of fuel pressure and the feed forward systems inherent delay results in a lean spike; this is a fact that is NOT arguable. I can show you multiple logs of this. I don’t care who tells you otherwise they are wrong, this has been proven over and over again by the best tuners in the country (Jerry W, Brian@apten etc..) and we have logged the same on many cars. This doesn’t mean they CAN'T be tuned; they just CAN'T be tuned CORRECTLY. Now, can you run the car like this? YES. Did I feel comfortable tuning the car and giving it back to you with this happening? NO, because it is NOT correct even though it may work. Will people disagree with this? I will promise you that most shops you call will tell you that wet kits will work, but I'd love to see one that doesn’t have a lean spike when it engages because that will never happen. Does that mean that we are lacking tuning ability? Well SCT sure doesn’t think so considering we train the new dealers and do most of their documentation. We didn’t tune your car on the nitrous in the best interest of your engine, we are not going to take a chance with a customer’s engine when the data that we have in front of us shows an unsafe condition. Whether it will immediately hurt the engine or not, it’s not in our best interest to take that chance. Another shop might do so, but we choose not to. Anothony, I'd rather deal with this right here for anyone reading the thread. smile.gif
  23. I understand you were stating the facts, however you make it sound like it was OUR fault that it didnt work correctly when it was a mechanical problem that we chose not to work around for the sake of your engine. It had nothing to do with our tuning ability.
  24. Cylinder pressure on a nitrous car goes up in just the same way as it does on a blower car, boost is irrelivent, think of it in terms of VE, both make the motor more volumetrically efficient, past 100% in many cases, raising cylinder pressure. "Boost" is generally more detonation prone than nitrous because it increases the intake charge temps, but they both raise cylinder pressure. Detonation is what cracks pistons in every case, a lot of mod motors will pull the wrist-pin out of the piston at high hp/rpm, however I've never seen one break a ring land or crack a piston without detonating. Detonation can also wreck rod bearings and break rods.
  25. I'd say it was more of a problem with the specific nitrous kit and a returnless car, something we COULD have tuned but chose not to because it wouldn’t have been safe for the car, but that’s my opinion. I wasn’t aware that you had an issue with our tuning, if you did I'd sure like you to call me and talk with me about it rather than posting stabs on the internet over an issue I hadn’t been made aware of. I'd rather not have our tuning ability called into question over a known mechanical problem, whether some agree it exists or not. Rob
