  1. So, I've got a great formula that takes wind speed and gives you PSF (i.e. windload) at sea level. I need this for water at sea level also, or a conversion to plug into my existing formula to make it work. Anyone?
  2. As in, how much it will give you? Hers wasn't near that expensive, but she got him while the breed was new. F2 btw Also BTW, a Weimaraner will die a nasty death at the hands of a clawed and agressive F1 or F2....A serval will do it quickly.
  3. Troo I've seen bikes hit expansion joints at 100, both wheels off the ground, and moving along like nothing happened.
  4. Not ours, but same breed. Lazy? FF to 2:30;
  5. In my experience, if you have to ask "Hey, what is this and what does it do?", You probably shouldn't fuck with it. Do EFI boat engines use charcoal cannisters?
  6. So I'm just reading this recreationally and I come along something that bares quoting: No, they're not sensationalizing at all. How much does a bike weigh? How much force does that equal at 180mph? Don't be an idiot and think that driving that fast only risks your stupid ass. Dead people: http://elsmar.com/pdf_files/Weird%20Pictures/Car%20motorcycle%20wreck.jpg http://wallstreetjackass.typepad.com/raptureready/images/motorcycle_car_crash.jpg http://www.driveandstayalive.com/images/crashes-and-scenes/motorbike-inside-vw_sweden_2005_upplandsbrobil463.jpg "OMG you should run from the cops!" is dumb...but it is correct, you don't have to puch too hard to lose them. But assuming that 400lb at 160mph isn't going to hurt anyone is just stupid. Bikes, just like every other vehicle, are a risk to everything around them.
  7. FATALITY Risky though, busted ribs kill the bear and her cubs.
  8. Actually, there is one, but that's another story. You said a landmass broke loose and drained the lake. This would imply and above-ground event that cleared a section of natural earthen dam...If you meant something similar to what I was saying, ya sholdn't have said Landmass. Back on topic, the ice chunks will lead yo to the drain, they will be accumulated around it.
  9. I'm lookink for de nuclear wessels! Evan, I'd be all over that if I had space to keep it. If I buy a boat, it will have to be a Zodiac or something that breaks down. 16' canoe? That would be doable, though I challenge your "untippable" claim. We'll be needing to get in and out of in 10-20ft of water, I dont see that being pretty. 48" is a hell of a beam for a canoe. My dad has been interested in getting a canoe, though, do you want to sell? The right price may get him interested.
  10. U'mm some one would have noticed, allot. That much water would have made it to a river system that would have flash flooded. Look up the Lawn Lake disaster in the Rockies. A comparatively tiny mountain lake let loose and swamped a town 10 miles away. Chille is volcanic. A magma chamber could have been made available by way of small cave in. There are lots of active volcanoes in the area, big ones. This happening in Nebraska would be odd, but in Chille, it's just neat.
  11. And all this time I've been jacking in front of my PC.....
  12. Anyone? How about just a motor, 10hp or less....? Rent to own?
  13. On the top of a 1983 Mercedes 300TD wagon. Roof rack and all, just need it to not crush the car. The roof aught to be good for a few hundred. As for out to the shoal, Oars or motor, whatever is available. Power is preferred, but I've oar'ed just as far. If there's weather, we'll just not go. There is a plan B spot: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=black+river+mi&ie=UTF8&ll=44.819351,-83.283577&spn=0.058569,0.172005&t=k&z=13&om=1 Much easier to get around and protected from the weather. But the wrecks out there aren't logged like the North Point area, we'd have to search for them. Hell, if you look at the west coast of Sugar Island on Google Earth, you can actually see a wreck of an old sidewheel steamer. I've been on the big water many times, for many years, you wont have to worry about your boat.
  14. Car-carryable, standard issue "John-boat". Power not needed, but would be nice. Needed to use as a dive platform 1mi off shore, less then 20ft of water: 45 00.46' N , 83 14.99' W Will be gone Aug 11-18.
  15. RACE! Rally race, my cast aluminum machine vs your plastic.
  16. Thread of the year award. Eww, did you touch the bottom?
  17. Here's an Ebay ad for one like mine, the "Legend II": http://cgi.ebay.com/KIRBY-LEGEND-II-UPRIGHT-VACUUM-CLEANER_W0QQitemZ120131425376QQihZ002QQcategoryZ43525QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem]Any Kirby will do, though. The still make them in the same format, but new ones are insanely expensive.[/url] Why so bad ass? Pics and BOLD text below if you want to skim. Fuck'a drum impeller, these used a huge motor and a compressor wheel. http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/9392/suckit9.jpg Why I'm posting, I wish I had a video camera. A: I foundout it's self propelled. But that, I mean that when you take the bag off and turn it on, it generates enough thrust to propel itself across the floor...It weighs 20 fxing pounds. B: So I thought I'd leave the bag off and suck up a Cheerio. I set the adjustable ride height as low as it goes and push it over the cheerio...or rather, I tried. I pushed, but it didn't move. I pushed very hard, it didn't budge. I tried to lift it AND COULD NOT, the carpet began coming up with it. I turned it of, and it rolled freely...right off of the oval that it left in the carpet. This thing makes enough vacuum to support it own weight if hung from the ceiling. C: I adjusted the ride height up a bit and ran over the Cheerio...it hurt when it's fragments cam out the back and peppered my shin. The breeze coming out of this thing can be felt 15ft away. If you ever see one of these at a garage sale, BUY IT.
  18. Never lead with the pinky side of your hand, ever, you will brake it. Never punch drunk, or in any other condition in wich you can't do it right. Everybody pay attention to this thread.
  19. Probably because she's a chick, they tend to make better actresses. Eli, I've got one for you: http://www.weirdwildrealm.com/filmimages/karatebearfighter.jpg
