  3. I'm sorry. Drinkin & Drivin is BAD scene. I too hope the driver has looong day in court & pays & pays. Unfortunately none of that will bring your friend back, I'm sorry ---
  4. I luv it & would buy one in a heartbeat, but I can't afford the one I've got???
  5. Mad Malibu correct. I take my "vette" to them now (I didn't even buy it there) though I would have, they do the service work. I remain very satisfied & would continue to buy cars there too. New Owner is Jeff Mauk - a very smart but straight shooter himself.
  6. 140 mph + back road = trouble Sorry about the car, since you're ok, you can replace the vehicle. Just goes to show (again) speed & muscle cars got to be respected --
  7. I forgot to mention how p--- I am at "bow tie" too? I finally bought a Z06, now they're bringing out a new one with 500+ hp. Wish I was rich instead of good looking??? smile.gif
  8. Fuel economy? Well I get 26 mpg while cruising at 75 in 6th gear!
  9. Oh yes - Heinz Field in September, playin the raiders / I can't wait, especially if the offensive line exists --- "Here we go Steelers, here we Go"!!!
  10. I saw this SAME car (retro 53) yesterday at the Corvette gathering in Roscoe Village. It is definately tooooo cooool - graemlins/thumb.gif
  11. There's also a Corvette Show at Roscoe Village tomorrow. I understand there will be over 300 vettes at this "cruise" ----Corvettes from '52 to present are supposed to be there - graemlins/thumb.gif
  12. Sawmill ANYWHERE not good place to clean out injectors!
  13. Seems like lots of dough for what? For $22k you have lots of choices!! I went to Utica Ice Cream Festival Sunday with a "vette" club I'm involved in - I saw alot of restored muscle cars waaaay under this price & they were cool - I wouldn't spend $22k for this -
  14. For me, definately #4. If I'm paying for it, I want to drive it - especially on nice sun shiny days! graemlins/thumb.gif
  15. Whats really sad (I think) is even if the vermin gets caught, nothin would happen to obtain justice! Yeah I too wonder what the world is coming too --
  16. Problem with go-fast cars is that - THEY DON'T OUTRUN POLICE RADIO'S!
  17. Sorry just read the responses = 1) no they didn't do engine bay 2) I'm happy 3) I'll definately be talking to some of you that responded, next year when it's time for re-do. Sounds like I could've saved some dough & recieved the same outcome (if not better). See some of you folks tonight -- smile.gif
  18. I paid (with tax) a total of $203.86. They did whole car, the real work for them was dealing with the swirl marks in that electron blue paint. They also removed those lil (bumps on the front nose) from loose impediments on roadway etc. I'm very pleased with their work -- graemlins/thumb.gif
  19. Wow, I just picked up vette from having it detailed at Finishing Touch on North rt 23 (just above polaris). I don't have time nor the talent, man they did a nice job! Swirl marks are virtually GONE. Lil expensive but she looks great. Now if I can just keep people off of it, no leaning, putting butts on fenders etc I'll be o'tay! I'd get one of those velour ropes with 4 poles to put around it at Jegs on Saturday nites - but I'm sure that velour rope wouldn't last 5 minutes?? ha ha smile.gif
  20. It's sooo great to read as this thread goes on & on & on. Sort of like no end?? I say kudos to all GTO's & Mach 1's / whether ya can drive or NOT -

    Dead bird

Don't know what I hate more - birds or the geese? They're both pooping on cars & very very messy. Guess I don't like either-- wish they'd all fly into glass & die --
  23. 900 GO FAST!! I'm not into the color, but Nice Bike - be careful ---wear helmet smile.gif
  24. If you want value down the road / I'd suggest the C-5, not a better car, they just hold their value as historically been shown --- smile.gif
