pm sent, I'm interested in a reliable economical car
  2. Need a cheap beater, around $500, prefer 4-cyl or 3-cyl, don't care about 5sp/auto. Don't care about import/domestic. Must not be pissing oil, running on less then all of it's cylinders, or otherwise about to blow up. Need it pretty soon.
  3. I need a cylinder head for my 88 Prelude 2.0S, and need it cheap. Anyone got one for sale real cheap or know how much pick-and-pull charges for a head?
  4. Watch, some pussy will get busted trying to steal a car because of this device, then turn around and sue the car owner for the bullshit that is "emotional distress". Of course, knowing the "wisdom" of our court system I can see them winning a case like that.
  5. French-Canadian television... Gotta love it.
  6. Come up with $100 and leave with my Prelude. I'm either leaving for California, or Canada, and it's not coming with me
  7. what sort of car are you looking to get? I'm moving out of state and thinkin of not taking any of mine with me. I have a Merkur Scorpio, 2.9 liter V6, RWD. Fuel computer says it gets 28mpg highway. Needs atire, and one brake rotor.
  8. Selling a pair of 1st gen Toyota MR 2 seats, black and grey. Both in almost perfect condition, $75
  9. I hate to break it to ya, but the only american thing about the metro is the "geo" badge. It's a Suzuki Swift with shorter headlights, a different upper bumper, and a hood that goes down further. to accomidate the bumper redesign and shorter headlights. That said, I was driving my Metro 'vert that I used to have, top down, nice day and all, and a ricer with his kid in this monstrosity of a civic, fart cannon and all decided to show his kid how badass his car was in comparison to my stock, 1 liter 3cyl with it's 55hp and 3-speed auto... Too bad my car was keeping up with his for the most part. If your car can't even leave a Metro far, far behind you, it will never, ever be a muscle car.

Bump for a nice car. I've ridden in it, and can vouch for it. Someone's gonna be real happy with this thing.
  11. The car is a 1988 Honda Prelude 2.0S, with the B20A3 carbed motor in it, oil seems to be pooling up around the spark plug for cylinder #3. Aside from the valve cover gasket being bad, is there anything else other then a screwed up cylinder head that could cause this?
  12. Not when I have someone willing to pay that for just the coupe, sorry.
  13. Verse: pm me when you're ready to get the coupe, whenever is fine. As for what exactly is wrong with the hatch, well, the carb is screwed up, and needs to be replaced. There's a vacuum leak somewhere too, and the engine might need a head gasket soon. It's been sitting (though it has been started a few times) since last year, and the alternator is not charging the battery. If someone *really* wants to fuck with it, it wouldn't be that hard to fix the mechanical problems, but I work 40 hours a week in the daytime, so there's not much time for me to tear the head off again and redo everything.
  14. why the hell do dealerships pull this kind of BS with titles? As far as I know, they are allowed 30 days to get you the title, and fucking with the customers is bad for business. :/
  15. odometer says 161k, I'd tack on 8k more, the speedometer is not working. Either the cable is busted, or the cluster is fucked (it was this way when it was Tinman's car). I can throw in a spare SR5 cluster with the coupe.
  16. Bump. Someone buy these. The slave cylinder looks to be the problem with the coupe. $15 part NEW, and an easy fix.
  17. Does anyone on here happen to be good at recovering seats with leather? How much would it be for 2 bucket seats and an armrest?
  18. I'm tired of the cars I have as it is, and having 2nd thoughts about the RX-7 I'm looking at (age, hood isn't staying shut, haven't heard it running yet), wouldn't mind coming to look it over this weekend? Will have cash in hand.
  19. Bump. Nobody's bought them up just yet, need to get things rollin on the RX-7 I'm getting!
  20. Haven't really thought of selling them seperately at this point. Probably $600 because the hatch is thrown in there with the idea that anything you don't like about the coupe's interior, the hatch has a very nice part to replace it with, so you can come away with a very clean interior on the coupe, and then sell the shell to someone with the resources to turn it into a drift car or something.
  21. whoops, $800 was a typo. I blame beer.
  22. OK, I'm pretty fed up with these Corollas in general, at least the SR5 models. The clutch just went out on my coupe tonight, it's a problem with the hydraulic system, it's 1 in the morning and I'm not checking it until tomorrow. Either way, up for sale is a pair of 1986 Toyota Corolla SR5s. AE86 #1 http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/Kuruma_Kitsune/IM000260.jpg It's a coupe. SR5 model. Needs new windshield, and either the clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder, or maybe just a line replaced. Clutch itself is still good. Engine is still running fine, carb could stand to be replaced though. Needs to warm up fully before you can go driving it around. speedometer isn't working. AE86 #2 http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/Kuruma_Kitsune/PICT0032.jpg It's a hatchback. Engine and carb are screwed up, and the alternator is dead too. good clutch, hydraulic system for clutch, tranny, rear end, etc. Has rust. $700 takes them both. Includes a spare cluster, clutch plate and disc. Anything you want to fix either car and drive it is all here. I could fix the coupe and keep driving it, but this is just pissing me off at this point. Also open to trading both for a: Fiero MR2 CRX Civic Neon (1st gen) Older Honda Prelude Anything else that sounds interesting enough. Both cars are 5-speeds, and would prefer a 5-speed, but would not refuse an auto.
  23. Just be happy you didn't need to be taken BACK to the cemetary after a brief stay at the funeral home.
  24. While I was on a delivery I brought my Corolla there to look into the cost of doing the valve springs, new cam, and weber carb setup, they were very nice although a bit busy at the time. The one thing that kinda raised an eyebrow was them saying it would be 4 hours to do a cam on it and 8 to do the valve springs. I mean, seriously... I've done the head gasket replacement on my last Corolla SR5, and I know it sure as fuck does not take 4 hours to do that. 8 hours on the valve springs, and granted, I haven't done those before, but I know it isn't 12+ hours worth of work in there, especially considering the labor to remove the air cleaner (comes right off with two bolts), valve cover (Ditto), and the rocker arm assembly (4 bolts) is common to both jobs right there, you would figure they would combine the amount of actual labor done there just because you must do it before you do either job, and putting it all back together just to rip it off right away is kinda stupid. Does 12+ hours come from having it take that long because the same person is fucking with a few other cars at the same time and keeps walking away? Or maybe breaks to go to Taco Bell to buy munchies for what they were smoking when those numbers popped up?
