I think a trailer is probably going to be the best way to bring it back, since towing a 2200lb car (less without the rear end obviously) with no rear end about 147 miles with a 4-cyl Probe sounds like a dubious idea at best. Can you recommend any companies to haul this bitch back here OR rent one for a 2-way trip from here to Connersville IN and back? I know it's gonna cost some money to do it, but aside from stripping everything out and hauling things back here in shifts using the Probe, I don't have any better ideas.

Shit, with these gas prices, using it as a daily pretty much makes it a money maker.
-
Congrats. Should be a nice and reliable daily for ya.

Hey, I didn't get any reply to the last e-mail I sent you. If it's still up for trade, I'd be open to it because the 240sx is one of the cars on my list of ones to get at some point

Got a running, driveable 1992 Geo Metro 3 door hatch, auto that I'd like to get rid of. It's posted here in The Corral. More interested in selling it at this point though just because I got that donor GT-S. Whoever buys this Accord will have a reliable daily for a good long time though. These things don't like to die even when you intentionally try to kill them.

Red exterior, red/brown interior. The seats are, IMHO, beat as hell, or I would think of using them (Just bought a dremel tool, so it's AW11 MR2 seats for me once I grind the holes out a bit), and the dash has some cracks in it. It's a 1985, so the cluster is the one without the line pattern on it. Most of the interior isn't in very good shape, and the interior bits have been picked pretty bare. I'm keeping the hatch door (black) because mine is badly rusted, and the doors, because they're in better shape then mine. Looks like once I get the donor back here, the swap done, and some new 1/4 panels it'll be time to pick a new color for the car. On a side note, anyone know a good way to move a shell that has no rear end?

just put him in prision. that's all you need to do. The rest will take care of itself. Why? Lots of inmates have families on the outside. With kids of their own. Things aren't very nice for people who victimize children in there from what I hear.

Hey, the better the engine, the faster the car but there's no chance of finding one and a tranny, and all the required bits for the swap from carbed to EFI for the $125 I paid for the GT-S donor car.

*bump* Still available at this point in time. Want to sell it to get money for an engine swap on my AE86

Hey, just worked out a deal to get myself a donor Corolla GT-S, no rear end, motor and trans are good, the fuel tank and lines are there to gank as well. What I want is basically to have the engine, transmission, and assorted bits and pieces swapped over from the GT-S into my Corolla SR5 since it's engine is pretty crappy anyway. Depending on the condition, I may also want to swap the doors (use the existing door panels), and a few other misc. bits (such as the hatch door) since they seem to be in better shape then the ones I've got, rust wise. May or may not use the bumper. I'll know when I see it up close. Basic question: Who can do it, how much. I'd be dropping off the donor car and the SR5 for the swap, whatever doesn't get used, you can have. Any interior parts you want, you can have em with the rest of the donor to use or sell as you wish. I only care about getting the 4A-GE engine, the GT-S trans, and maybe a few little bits and pieces in/on my car.

Where was this? I heard about a bad crash on 161 and maple canyon at the start of one of my delivery runs, so I avoided the area completely.
-
Interested in trades, or cash only?
-
Calltech, obviously. What happened to the delivery driving gig?
-
*bump* $400 if you buy it before Saturday rolls around, cause that's what I need to get this convertible I've got my eye on.
-
Yeah, I've seen an AE86 with one in a picture once. I'd love to do it myself, but it's outta my price range for the next few years. It's a good swap for that Miata because it's a light engine that makes good power, and unlike the V8 swaps, you actually don't have to break out the sawzall and start chopping the engine bay up to shoehorn it in, not to mention you don't have to pull it to work on it.

I'm selling my Geo Metro, it's a 1992 auto, green (with yellow and black hood, don't ask...), new windshield, runs and drives OK, a bit loud (prolly an exhaust leak or something), and slow, but was reliable enough to make it to New York City and back a couple weekends ago. Exact mileage isn't known, as the base model only counts up to 99K before rolling over. Odometer says 19K at this point, but I'd say it's safe to say it's probably around 119K. Problems: Needs a new upper bumper cover, the existing one is a little fucked up still. *extremely* common and cheap at U-Wrench-It. Easy to replace. Needs a new crank for the drivers side window, and the window reset properly in it's sash, window stays closed however. Runs a little rough, and slow revving when it's cold. don't know if it's just the exhaust, or whatever, but once it warms up, the engine runs a lot better for me. Needs a new radiator fan. Needs a new bottle for the windshield washer fluid. Rolla recommended getting another hood, if you just want it as a beater, you don't really need to fuck with any of this shit except the fan when it starts getting warmer. Price lowered to $300. I just bought the convertible Metro LSi model, so I really don't want this car anymore.

I'm interested in going back to RWD once I sell my Metro, how quickly you trying to move this?
-
Neon- Let them take the POS back. AE86- Blew it's head gasket on new years day. Spent january fixing it, got a delivery driver job using it, carb failed badly, car has been out of service since. RX-7 Bought it, drove it for a while, clutch went out, and had to move, I don't have it anymore. Prizm Bought it, hated it, sold it. Probe Bought it, got another delivery driving job, started fixing it, some asshole hit it and ran, been saving up to fix it. Metro Bought it the day after the hit and run happened, was smashed to fuck when I got it, spent some time at U-Wrench-It, and some money at Rolla's and it looks better now. I want to sell it, because it's boring and I got the probe driveable again, though smacked a bit.

though the V8 swap is a very nice setup for drag, if you plan on autocrossing it, you might do better to swap the S2000's engine into the Miata. That swap was featured in Import Tuner sometime back, and it worked out well, with the Miata actually weighing a little less then the S2000. Of course, for that cost, you might look at the S2000 as well.

If only my hatch ran. Seriously tho, the coupes are actually better then the hatches, because the body is more rigid, and about 100lbs lighter, due to not having to lug around the weight of the hatch's window. The hatches are more practical for hauling things around, because the seats fold and the car can hold more stuff (and they do have a nice look to them). Shit, if this don't sell soon, I might actually want to buy it.

Christmas makes me want to beat people for getting behind the wheel of a car when they have no skill at doing so, then driving to the mall, as if having to dodge 10 or more near accidents a day when I work (delivery), they just add to it.
-
Nice. That car's one of the ones on the list of cars I want to own. Wouldn't make a half bad pizza delivery car or something to drive around 270 with when it's nice out.
-
I can't believe this hasn't sold yet. Someone buy it. These cars are amazing on snow and ice. I wish my hatch was running right now.
-
Be careful about taking care of that fiero. The early 4-cyl models have a habit of going up in flames due to bad block castings, and defective rods. Friend of mine had his burst into flames while he was driving it.

Nice 7. Makes me want to sell my Metro and get it Bump
