  1. graemlins/jerkit.gif Well, it's not like I had a choice in the matter. It was either get a car that day, or lose my job, and I had the only income in the apartment at the time. People do what they have to do to survive, after all. For a JD Byrider car the thing puts up with some pretty serious abuse, and is fairly reliable. Most of the problems have been known issues, normal wear for a 10 year old car (was first sold to a woman in 1994, even though it's a 95), or driver error. They're still douchebags there though, and as soon as I can get outta the thing and trade for a better one, I'm doing it.

Sweet. I'll have to give you a call next payday, cause this headliner has been pissing me off for a year. Do you do carpet replacement as well? My carpet isn't so much worn out, but it's more that I'd rather have a black carpet/headliner instead of the whole interior being grey (looking to change the color of the plastic panels in the car too, but that I can do/have been working on for myself.)
  3. Rane: No, gay people like *FASHIONABLE* things that cost money. Neons are far from fashionable, and pretty cheap, unless you wanna talk SRT-4, or buying from JD Byrapist. (Never going to buy a car there again, and no, I don't really like my car that much.)

Any extra charge if the car has a flip-up sunroof? I've got the Highline version, so it would mean taking all that rubber out that seals the roof when you shut it, right?

Mine's falling down badly, and discolored too cause people kept smoking in the car, so I wanna save up money to get it replaced. Can anyone recommend a place that can do it for a reasonable price, so I can get an idea of how much I need to save?
  6. Still better then my car. Although... "What's with that wing... Can it fly too?"
  7. Psh. Try Hilliard, where they tried to accuse me of going 50 in a 35... When my car had only one good engine mount, the pulley had gone through a splashguard, and you would have had to drift to get around the corners at that speed. At night. On a road I hadn't even been on before. With 2 witnesses in the car that saw that I never went over 35. They like just making shit up altogether there, instead of just finding a bullshit reason
  8. I'd say most people who can figure out a forum are way ahead of the average tech support caller that expects their ISP to patch their crappy OS against all sorts of virii, because it's "just so hard!" to take care of their computer. I'd hate to see what these people do to their cars.
  9. Insight has been pretty good to me, rarely out, unless all of the cable, including digital phone is out. The speed is good too, and I've gotten up to 3mbit. Douche bags keep *raising* the price for no reason though, and it's getting ridiculous. WOW is supposed to be pretty good too. Don't get DSL, it's usually a nightmare, but at least if your able to post here, you are a step ahead of the customers I talk to at work... though since 90% of their problems are self inflicted (putting filters on wrong, ignoring the instructions, going to porn sites with IE, downloading Kazaa) I wanna tell them all: http://www.edge-inc.net/images/humor/you-suck-internet.gif It might just be that they're the main problem with DSL, not the service.
  10. My heat shield fell off months ago while I was on the highway... Heard a nasty dragging sound, pulled over, and saw it was just barely hanging onto the car. Pulled it off, and haven't had a single problem. At least it quit rattling.
  11. Well, I grew up in Los Angeles, so I'm a bit jaded, but people keep talking about it... So I guess I'm in, barring any money problems.
  12. Calltech offers PT and FT. If you need money coming in, it's better then flipping burgers for minimum wage, and answering to a 16 year old with craterface
  13. Right, there is no test, if they did they would have to fire most of the floor, including a few sups that I won't name They dropped the pay for new hires though, training is 6, and after tank, it's only 9, unless they dropped it again. Most of the BS smacks people who don't meet the metrics though, or people who piss off the wrong people at ops/etc... If your stats are good, they usually ignore some pretty extreme stuff unless they're trying to cut the number of agents down.
  14. I've never gone before... Is it fun?
  15. You still looking for one? I've got a model 1 (round buttons, with access light) next to me with: 2 controllers, RF adapter, third party lightgun and power cord Virtua Fighter Remix Virtua Fighter 2 Virtua Cop Resident Evil (Yes, there is a Saturn version) Mansion of Hidden Souls Tomb Raider Robotica Street Fighter: The Movie Shinobi Legions Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner (JAP) Devil Summoner 2: Soul Hackers (JAP) Fighting Vipers Virtual On Toshinden Remix Criticom Nights All games above are legit Saturn discs, not CD-R backups. You will need to rip, patch, and reburn the japanese ones, and know how to perform the swap trick to play them, but on a model 1 like this, it's very easy to do. Alternatively, spending the money on a 4-in-1 cart would save the hassle, or you could install a region switch. It's recommended to install a door switch too if you are already going to be opening up the machine and modifying it, as it makes playing multi-disc backups without a mod board easier. Most of the games are without box/manual for now, as those are in a storage bin in Los Angeles, but I am planning to go up there eventually to get my things from the bin.
  16. DAMN, talk about rice-rocket. redface.gif And I thought I knew people who went fast.
  17. Just vote for something. Don't be a douche.
  18. Yeah, it's still leaking. Really badly actually. Tried to fill it when the sun was out and bright, and you could see the vapor from the r134-a as it escapes into the air (It did that before I got on it in the first place though, so I don't think it's something I did.) Wouldn't be opposed to letting someone with more knowledge take a look at it, since I have to admit I'm a noob when it comes to anything not involved in *driving* the car.
  19. Hell, I like *tasteful* rice... but this... What was he smoking, where can I buy some, and how high was the THC content???
  20. I drove a Focus once for about 100 miles, because the other two people with me were busy bickering about who should drive, and who was more tired... Hated the damn thing though, cause it felt like my little Neon was faster at taking off then the damn thing and I didn't like the way the interior was designed. graemlins/doh.gif
  21. Calltech is always hiring, as long as you can put up with some of the graemlins/bsflag.gif
  22. That would kick some serious ass... If you get one going around, PM me, and I'll sign for that.
  23. Personally, I want to get the hatchback version of it, and eventually a junked version of the coupe as well, to put the front end of it on the hatchback, because I just like the look of the Japanese Sil80, which is the Silvia's front, and the 180's rear. That combined with price, and it being good for drift makes it seem like a pretty attractive car to pick up. (Looks may not be the #1 reason to go for a car, but I'm tired of driving ugly cars that don't suit me, so...)
