Shit, I hope you got that bitch fired. graemlins/doh.gif Some people in L.A. also like to be REALLY rude and pretend not to speak english when you try to talk to them, just because you're not hispanic. I asked someone what time it was once at the bus stop, and they just gave this blank look and said "No english...", so I asked them in spanish, and the color drained from their face, their jaw dropped, and they said, *in ENGLISH* "You speak spanish?!?!". I just nodded, and said "Si. Yo hablo." and asked someone else what time it was.

I've used BP fuels before, and no problem whatsoever. Now *CITGO* however.... I was driving from Kirtland back to C-Bus, and everything in Kirtland was closed, and I had enough to make it to Seville, so I decided to stop at the Pilot that's just off of 71. Took the wrong exit, and with it being late, just decided to hit the Citgo that was right in front of me instead... BIG mistake. The gas made the car sound *horrible*, the mileage dropped noticably, and I could *smell* unburnt gasoline. The only time this has happened with this car was that one time fueling up at Citgo. Not before, not even later on when I refueled when getting back on the same day.

Either the Sonoco on Schrock, or the Speedway on Roberts Rd, usually, because they let me prepay a certain amount on my card, which is sometimes the only way I can get any gasoline right before payday... For a while after replacing the engine, my car ran like shit and was extremely noisy on anything *BUT* 93, but after a month or so of that, and several tanks later, it runs fine on 87 again. Weird Neon. Must have cleaned something out by running the premium gasolines.

It doesn't matter if there is no "official" language mandated by the government. This is still an english speaking country, and it's a matter of disrespect to move to a country without learning the language spoken by the majority of the people who live there. By the way, I know some spanish too, but this is still an english speaking country and even if some people only speak english here, at least they're speaking the right language for this country.

Usually SCSI drives cost more, but they perform a lot better/faster then your typical IDE setup. -
I have to explain to the somali tardmasters how to use a *computer* over the *phone* at that... Makes me want to throttle them and their entire family graemlins/doh.gif I get a kick out of pissing them off by NOT giving a shit about their bitching though. They bitch about their service not working, or waiting on hold and I just *completely* ignore them (Sorry, but I firmly believe tech support is NOT about customer service, it's about fixing the shit and getting people OFF the phone), and say something like "Let me know when you're ready to troubleshoot this." Shuts them right the fuck up. Heh. If I were a cop I'd ticket the fuck outta their ass and tell them tough shit, take their complaints to the courthouse. They parked where they shouldn't, and that's that. The cops would treat me that way if I did it. If they want to bitch in somali, tough shit.

At work, we just get rid of "shopathome" usually with Ad-Aware and Spybot, and that knocks it off the stations, just get one or both of those (free!) programs and use it. -

Well, for starters, Sahagent = Spyware. It's "ShopAtHome"... I've had to deal with that crap WAY too many times at work -

He's right. Having a bunch of crap in the system tray all the time is like driving around with a little U-Haul trailer hitched to yor car 24/7. Just slows you down when you could get the same functionality by only hooking it up when you had something to haul. I see way too man people with 10-15 icons there, and there's really no point to that. At most, maybe a good software firewall (even if you have a router) and a couple other things you *really* want, like the volume control is enough ... and Weatherbug = Spyware, so it should NEVER be there -

If you are running anything over Win95 then you did not actually delete IE. And if it's XP, you really did not delete it. XP relies on IE for a lot of important OS-related tasks to the point that when you open your control panel, that's IE that's used to display it to you. If you deleted it, your copy of Windows would not work properly. Everything else, it's such a pain in the ass to remove IE that it's not worth trying for most people. -

At least give Spybot and Ad-Aware a chance to clean it out, and if that's no help, then just nuke and pave, use firefox, and be careful which web sites you visit. The web really isn't a safe place for a Windows machine at all these days. -
God I fucking HATE people who come to live in the US and refuse to learn the goddamn language. They want to enjoy all of the benefits of living in this country, but you ask them to please learn to speak english correctly, and suddenly, you're "racist" because they "have a right to preserve their heritage"??? Bullshit. My mother's family came here from Hungary because the communists wanted them dead for participating in the fucking resistance after WWII and every single member of her side of the family learned. The older ones have an accent, but they sure as hell learned to speak english. Hell, my mom learned to speak english better then a lot of Americans do. I have no sympathy for anyone coming here for the money who refuses to make the damn effort. Places need to just start refusing to do things like provide tech support to people who insist that the only language they should master is somalian or some shit.

On that topic... What snow tires are good, but not too expensive, anyway? I grew up in an area where *NOBODY* buys them, cause snow simply doesn't exist in L.A.

I'd like to seriously cut back on work at calltech and go to it. How hard is financial aid to get?
-
Think of it like a christmas present. Most people like it better if they get to unwrap it before they use it.
-
At least their tits better be, or that bra ain't worth it.

I don't mind wearing nice clothing. My parents are rich anyway, so when they're feeling generous, I'll go for the $160 polo sport jacket that will keep you about as warm as an ice cube (Yes, they actually bought me that because I asked.). It's just impractical on my salary to make ALL my clothing choices that way.
-
Heh. I got an abercrombie vest from a thrift store for $2 that is more ricer looking then thrift store looking They just aren't my usual showy/strange style.
-
I'll ask a couple people at work.
-
It's easy for people with money to talk about how easy it is to start making money, but not everyone has it so easy. Some people get held back no matter what they do, and it's not always just because "they don't want to work". Sometimes just buying the wrong car from the wrong can fuck your financial life up for years. I should know, it's why I'm always broke.

Take advice from Judge Mathis: Don't forget your internet!

Hahaha... NOT something I would be willing to do in my Neon... I wouldn't be suprised if it was mostly OK afterwards, though. Neons can actually take a hell of a lot of abuse, despite their rep.

Sounds interesting. I'll go. Free food is always good, and nice cars are even better.

He said *what*??? Dude has issues...
