While reading about RX-7s today, I read that the Japanese ones also had a 2+2 version from the start, but the US version took it out because of safety regulations.

I wouldn't mind living in L.A. again... If I was still in my "I don't give a shit about cars" mindset. Now that I actually care, I can see how bad the douchebaggery is.
Psh, you think their emissions requirements are douched? I have a friend there that got a new Lexus as a graduation present for finishing pepperdine... And has to pay $900/year or so for *registration* because of the value of the car
I might call the ones who had to suffer with me through last winter with a busted out passenger window. At least they could never say it *NEVER* kept them warm.
Heh. I work for calltech. My pockets seem to have holes in them no matter what tongue.gif Maybe if I save up and work a lot of OT I can get a 1st gen non turbo in a month or two.
I just shop at places like Rag-O-Rama... cause I don't get paid enough to shop at Abercrombie, and eat on the same paycheck. Besides, you can buy clothes that look worn already for $5 instead there.

Damn. That car sure can move... But SR20DET isn't a rotary, and that's the main reason the RX-7 interests me, because I want to see what driving one is like
Of course, if I could afford that sort of car, I wouldn't turn my nose up at it.
Just a little off topic, but I've been wanting to get an RX-7 for a while now... Which one do you RX-7 owners think is the easiest to maintain/most reliable, anyway?
I prolly would mess it up if I did it myself, just because of inexperience, so for me, it would be best to pay a professional to do it on a car I'm stuck with until 2006... After all, I'm the one who has to look at it while driving to work
*laughs* I only own one piece of abercrombie clothing... And I got it for $2 at a thrift store on Cleveland Ave. I just can't justify paying $70 of my own money on a piece of clothing.

It's probably similar to the signs they put up in Snottowa Hills and other places that show you what your speed is in an effort to get people to slow down. I'm guessing it's purely for psychological effect.
You still have to admit that in the end it's *still* more important how you drive the car and what you do to it/plan to do to it then what it looks like or the trash anyone else wants to talk about it. In racing, that's what important. Image is only #1 in ricing.
I better try to get my alignment fixed before I go, I suppose, or it will be harder to keep up with everyone, cause my car = already slow, but yeah, either way, I'll go.
