sounds like an awesome trip.....I'd love to do that someday. Hell.....I'd love to just live there. During the 2 weeks of summer of course. My buddies dad went up there last year to mine for gold on some touristy mining kinda thing. Didn't find much I don't think but he wasn't really there for the gold. Just there for the experience and came back a changed man. He's in his 70's and we've all hunted together for years. Made for some good campfire stories this last hunting season. If I went I'd need at least 1 other cabin just to cart my beer up there. Wonder what a case of Miller Lite goes for up there?

He's already sorta gotten in trouble about the beer thing already. They had a pretend field trip to yellowstone park in one of his classes and they had to make a list of stuff to take on the trip.....he listed beer and a smoker. The teacher kinda crawled his ass over it but I don't think she realized he was talking about a BBQ smoker. He did that because every trip we go on I normally take the smoker and a cooler of beer. that'll make him famous......he'll be all over the news.

Thanks for all the advice guys.....it's appreciated. I didn't really see much harm in getting him a 10lb weight to do curls with....it was more the muscle milk kinda stuff that I know nothing about. He just has a high metabolism and he started off in the hole....he was premature by a month so he's always been small. He's tall though and will be 6'+ for sure. He's a pretty active kid so sitting around doing nothing really doesn't happen. We have a Wii and he has a DS but rarely plays either. He'd rather be playing drums, riding the 4 wheeler, or hiking in the woods behind us. I'm pretty sure he'll be fine but I'm sure you guys can remember what those early years were like.....lots of peer pressure to look a certain way or act a certain way. I just don't want him to be someone's punching bag. I don't think he will because when pushed enough he does know how to hit and he knows where to hit. Again.....probably not the right answer but I really believe that you have to kick a few peoples ass in life. It's not how many you beat up but who you beat up at that age. You kick the right person's ass and everyone else will leave you alone.

he took karate a couple years ago and liked it. We took the summer off so he could play baseball and then just never signed back up. Maybe this fall we'll look at getting him back into classes again. The place he was going too out here closed. Not sure if it closed down or moved but they're no longer in the same building. I'll have to ask around and see what's up.

thanks guys.....it's definitely something that I'll ask his doctor. I'm not talking about serious weight lifting.....just some light dumbells in his room to do curls with. I won't push him to do anything really. I actually prefer him to be on the skinnier side.....it's just a lot healthier for him in the long run. I also know that it sucks to have kids picking on you. It's not to the point where it bothers him a bunch....he just mentioned it the other night at dinner that kids were picking at him for being so skinny. I'm not overly concerned about it really because he's not one to take a bunch of shit off someone. He took care of some kid on the bus earlier this year that tried to take his seat away from him. Kid told him to get out of the seat, he said no, kid grabbed him out of the seat, and he busted the kids nose. I don't think the picking will get out of hand because he will eventually get tired of it and pop someone. Not the right way to handle it and I've told him that but at the same time you can't let someone walk on you either. My buddies have sons that wrestle. I took him to a tournament last year and asked him if that was something he thought he'd like to do. He said nope. He's just not into it. He's just into his drums right now for the most part.

Since I know some of you guys lift and what not I thought I'd ask here. I plan on talking to his doctor about it in June at his next check up but wanted to see if you guys knew anything about it. My 9 year old son is a pretty small kid. He's tall but just doesn't have any weight on him. He's been getting messed with at school about it lately and I was wondering how safe/dangerous it would be to start having him drink muscle milk or something similar and start lifting weights at his age. He's healthy and eats like any normal kid but he just doesn't put on weight. I'd rather him be skinny and healthy than to risk anything but if there's something safe he could do I would let him. To put it in perspective....he weights ~60lbs and my 6 year old daughter is ~63lbs. I wouldn't let him lift a lot of weight but maybe something just to give him a little mass. Any of you guys know anything about this stuff? Like I said.....I'll be talking to his doctor before we do anything. I just know some of you guys are into this stuff and might have some knowledge about it.

yep....that brought it from 149 to 99 then the valpak5 brought it to 94. I tried applying that tool15 a few different ways and it wouldn't take it. I think I've kinda moved on from it now though haha.....think I may get a cordless impact instead or some other camper stuff I probably need more than an extra set of tools.

today? Someone else I know got it to work too. Best I can get is $94.99 shipped. edit: nevermind....I see you posted the picture up there yesterday. Wonder if that code expired then?
-
It won't accept the TOOL15 code....only the VALPAK5 code but it shows as free shipping. Has anyone gotten both codes to work? I went to order a set for the camper but $95 doesn't sound near as good as $80 for a spare set.

anyone know if Frank's carry frog legs? I found the website and they're not listed there but there's really not a lot listed there in general.
-
this is a good deal....gonna buy a set to put in the camper.
-
OMG!!!! Bwahahahaha that's awesome.
-
My dad told me when I was younger that " You know everything & don't know shit all at the same time". Seems relevant
-
now that's a deal right there.....not sure there is much out there you can buy for $5 a week. Dog poop scooper is probably about it.
-
these are both incredible videos. Glad your sister is doing ok. These nut cases are everywhere now days. Makes you really wonder who you might bump into at some point when you're out in public. FYI on the second video. I had to know so I looked it up......the dog was shot and died 3 days later.

Looking for a DJ for my Daughters 17th Birthday

don't any of these kids have an ipod filled with music? Hook that up to some computer speakers and hit random. Works for us when we're partying. As far as the light show I don't know what to tell you....normally we end up with something on fire that burns funny colors. Actually.....you can buy light bars fairly cheap at Sam Ash. -
they have horns on their head and way thicker skulls not to mention that even they wouldn't do that with a car window. He's still the most retarded animal on the planet.
-
Now that my friends is what happens when you cut a bear off. Had the monkey stayed in his lane there wouldn't have been a bear eating his ass
-
nope.....they were all pretty small. Just took the hook out and pitched them back.

lots of people have knee replacements that don't have problems with them. I've known a few that have had knees and hips replaced (the older you get the more of these people you know) and some have had problems getting through rehab while others not so much. Problem with these injuries is they become a problem when age is a factor in your rehab. The older you get the more likely you'll have a longer recovery time. Some of it is physical condition though and not age. My wifes grandma is 90 and had a hip replacement last year and had zero problems with rehab but she's been very active her whole life. The moral here I think is to get it looked at while you're young in case there's some preventative or less invasive stuff that can be done. I went for an MRI today on my back.....been hurting on/off for 20 years and I was always able to just work through it. These days though it hurts more often and hurts worse. Want to just see where I'm at. I'm a long ways off surgery but I want to at least see what my options are.
-
I would go to the doctor and have it checked out. Not sure how old you are but stuff like this doesn't tend to get better with age. I wouldn't want to ignore something like that and then regret it when your 50 and rocking a cane or worse yet a wheel chair. Won't hurt anything to go get it looked at.

you have a nice eye for pictures.....those shots are awesome. Keep the outdoor shots coming....pretty cool stuff.

I agree with boosted.....the locals will help you way more than we can most likely. I looked last year at surf fishing when I went to VA Beach. Never found the time to do it while we were there but I did some reading prior to going down. Most will tell you that you're going to need a surf rod....they're long as hell so you can cast 100 yards or so out. I figured it's fishing and unless you're after a certain type of fish or are making a hobby out of it I'd just get a line in the water. Several years ago I was in Daytona Beach and went down after dark with a case of beer and a rod/tackle set up I bought at wal mart....cheap. Caught a few sharks and a couple of fish I have no idea what they were. Fish are going to eat....just have to get some bait in the water.
