  1. and the marines are still looking for a few good men.......
  2. back in my early 20's I tried golf.....I kept falling off the ball washer.
  3. I've been using the myfitnesspal app....pretty helpful in keeping track of calories and you can look stuff up as you eat it. I've also been eating a lot of the weight watchers "smart ones". They're not terrible really, have a ton of different meals, and are ~$2 if you catch them on sale. I give myself Sunday to eat a real meal....I still try not to go crazy but I eat what tastes good and what I want instead of calorie counting so much. Best bang for the calorie buck I've found really is subway. I'm a huge hamburger person....I love the things...been hard not to go to a fast food joint but I haven't been to one in a month. I buy extra lean burger at the store and put them on a "slimwich" bun with mustard, pickle, and onions to get my burger fix. Way way less calories than fast food. Also, you can just forget about pizza forever. Ton of calories for what you get there. I'm all about bang for the caloric buck. I've lost 25lbs so far and want to lose at least 25 more. With summer coming it's going to be tough....I love to BBQ and drink beer. Another thing I've been doing is getting out and moving more. I'm a stay at home dad so it's tough not to just sit on my ass and watch TV all the time. I've been alternating walking a couple miles a day and riding a bike a couple miles. Tough with a 6 month old here at the house so the bike riding hasn't been as often as the walking which I can do with him if the weather is halfway decent. Doesn't really bother me though because that bike seat violates me everytime I ride it.
  4. I feel really sorry for the cities that didn't make the cut. I've driven the roads enough and shopped in stores enough to realize there are some real idiots floating around in Columbus.
  5. congrats. After you get through the first couple years it sucks a little less. That first year or two is pretty rough. You'll question whether the thing is actually human at some point. We have a 6 month old here now....this is the 3rd time. You'd think I would've learned my lesson but there was a night about 15 months ago where there just wasn't shit on TV. I'm confident I have it solved now though....we got Netflix.
  6. maybe I'm overthinking it but does blindness also take away your ability to smile? She didn't know she was on camera? She's a blind girl playing in a band at a bowl game....what's not to smile about? Should've been smiling the whole damn day.
  7. years ago I built a lot of models. Haven't done one in years though....it's a lack of time thing. The last thing I worked on was helping my son with his boy scout project a couple years ago. This was actually pretty fun. We bought another kit and at some point we're going to do a truck....again....time thing. Keep in mind this was done by a 7 year old with my assistance. I helped cut the exhaust and the scoop into a rough shape but he mounted, sanded, and painted them. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/4resized.jpg
  8. cool pictures.....bad ass looking bird too.
  9. do they have it marked up a bunch? I typically just order it because I'm really never in a hurry for it but a local place to pick it up wouldn't be bad either.
  10. you want to see things that are overpriced just because of a word? Put the word "wedding" in front of basically any word and the price goes through the roof. "wedding" cake...."wedding" reception....."wedding" day ect ect.
  11. this story inspired me greatly......just today I was out and ran into a homeless person. Looked in pretty bad shape from a lifetime of drinking and starvation on the streets. I decided to do something to help the guy out. I went to Burger King and ordered a whopper and sat in front of him so he could see what it looked like when someone else was able to have a nice hamburger. I used a coupon I had so he can rest easy tonight knowing that the money I saved will be put towards my own kids college fund so they might someday also eat a hamburger in front of him to show him how successful they had become. Just doing my part. Thank you Mr Lambo guy.
  12. girl is from a poor family, alcoholic abusive mom, ect ect and even though you can afford a Lambo the best idea you could come up with to help her out is a ride home? Nice.
  13. me? Not at all. I've been happily married twice now. First wife left me for opening the car door for her. We doing 60mph at the time. I learned a lot of lessons on that first one. She was a cold bitch. We bought a water bed and her side froze over. Every time she spread her legs the furnace kicked on.
  14. the real question is.....who thinks that's even close to being true? The truth is the prince gets drunk as hell on a nightly basis which eventually leads to a bar fight, DUI, or waking up next to a fat chick. After a couple years of extremely poor decisions and embarrassing texts to the princess at 3am he finally meets some other chick and asks her the same original question. Unfortunately this one says "yes". Spam emails give us men to much credit.....we don't know a good thing when it's in front of us.
  15. Thanks for the link. We're going to sell our house next year or the year after. I've thought about having someone come out and do an inspection just to get me a comprehensive list of things I need to do between now and then. I'm terrible at home repair type stuff. Just never have been very good at it so I'd like to have a head start and a good list of things that need done. Don't want any surprises at the last minute.
  16. I finished off a deer years and years ago with a headshot. Never again. If they need it these days I just do a chest shot.....much faster and waaaay cleaner.
  17. check out jackssmallengines.com Excellent site for small engine parts. Depending on the model you can get brand new carbs there for $60-$80. I've used them for a few things and have always been happy with the parts, price, and service.
  18. my buddy has a roland kit....they are nice. Much better than this POS but I'm going to get him an acoustic set in June for his birthday I think. The whole reason for getting the e-kit was so he could play it with headphones and not drive us bat shit crazy. Ended up setting them up in the garage so it doesn't really matter what he has out there....might as well get an acoustic set and not mess with the e-kit stuff. We've looked at a couple places for him to take lessons. We're out in Lancaster so Pickerington area works best for us if we're going to Columbus. I'm also going to check the places out here. There's a place my buddy takes his kid to for guitar and they place them in "bands" and let them go play at places on the weekends. Pretty cool concept really and would be cool for him to do. I've been playing guitar for 20+ years and might take some guitar lessons at the same time. I could always learn more and it's cool playing with someone that's into a different style so you can learn newer things.
  19. got him the pedal a few weeks ago off ebay. Keep in mind he didn't start playing until after xmas and this is day 2 with the pedal. Probably not going to be the next Portnoy but for the amount of time he's been playing he doesn't do bad IMO. He's starting baseball right now so no time for lessons but after baseball season he's going to start taking lessons. I'm just glad he enjoys it. ?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen> I can't get the embed to work I guess.....link if you're interested.
  20. I didn't see "spit" listed in that ingredient list so I'm calling BS......
  21. that's exactly what I would do if I were starting over today but back in 99 when I got this catback I didn't know any better.
  22. I run a flowmaster with an e-cutout. I like the flowmaster because I can cruise through town and don't have to worry about being hassled by the cops. It doesn't make the HP the other catbacks make but it's quieter. If I want to open it up then I just open the cutout. Best of both worlds IMO.
  23. normally when those balancers come off it's because they weren't torqued down properly or people trying to reuse the stock bolt. Unless your supercharged I wouldn't worry about pinning it.....just torque it down correctly with a new bolt.
  24. I saw this a couple weeks ago......my hero. There isn't a single one of those people that didn't deserve it. I'd like to see the confrontations afterward....bet those were classic although I would imagine it would be something like this..... The punished "Почему вы баран в меня?" The Punisher "Потому что ты чертов идиот." So nevermind....
