only 1 of several reasons I will never donate deer. I only kill what I need.

I try to stay out of this debate because not only is it futile but it just pisses me off at some point. First off.....I'd love to see your 287 year old wife open up both barrels on a double barrel shotgun. Secondly.....who says we're protecting ourselves from burglars sneaking through woods in the middle of the night? Most likely at some point we'll be protecting ourselves from YOU. I don't own an AR and have no use for one. My guns are strictly hunting guns. I have a couple shotguns, .22, and a muzzle loader. That still doesn't mean other people shouldn't own them and it's not up to me or him or anyone else for that matter to tell them what they shouldn't own.

Actually....I was mistaken. It's West Memphis that I was thinking about. We used to drive through there going to the gambling boats in Tunica. Only place I've ever seen bars on the windows at a KFC. Memphis in general is a rough town but has some good areas like any other place. Just not many of them.

See if I got this correct..... police pull over black people = people complain police pull over white people = people complain If you've ever been to East Memphis you would understand this a little better. Think Cleveland only crappier and more drugs.

$20 is a decent deal.....you give me $25 each and I'll take them off your hands.

I've wanted a nova ever since I've been old enough to drive. When I was growing up there were a half dozen or so nova's running around our little town that were bad ass for the time. This guy has probably the ultimate nova sleeper. I personally would like to have one that looked as good as it ran. My first introduction to spray was riding in a nova SS back in about 1986. Had a 396 and a healthy shot. Kinda thing that leaves an impression on you.

sorry to hear about you losing your dog. They really do become family. I've had a lot of dogs in my life....some good...some bad....but I remember every one of them. The last one I had lived to be 13 and was probably the best dog I've ever owned. I put him down 3 years ago and I still think about him on a regular basis....I miss that guy.

I didn't know shit about a furnace when I bought my house. Now there's very little I can't do to it. I've replaced the tstat, induction fans ( I have 2), induction fan relays, vacuum tube, burners, ignitors, main board ect ect. Trust me....it's not rocket science. When you have a furnace in a crawl space you're going to learn to work on it or spend a small fortune in repair bills. Damp and dusty conditions are not optimal for a furnace. If I would've known more about this stuff going in we wouldn't have bought this house for that very reason alone. Tstat calls for heat>main board turns the induction fan(s) on>fans pull vacuum that closes relay> mainboard turns on ignitors and gas> burners light>thermocouple verifies flame that's basically it in a nutshell......start at the beginning of that and trouble shoot your way down the list. The order of the last few steps could vary depending on the ignitor/thermocouple set up but still basically the same.
-
furnace is a pretty simple machine really....no way you can trouble shoot it for her? I've fixed mine several times due to problems here and there. Mine is under the house in the crawl space so you can imagine how big a pain in the ass that thing is. I would start at the thermostat and work your way from there.

Lawnmower is still in pieces haha. I got a box of parts but need the time to mess with it. I needed the garage & moved it out to the shed & it's just kinda sat there. I think i sent u a pm when we did a cook here. Had a lot going on last year.....hopefully we'll get to do it more this year. Just had the superbowl party last week that i still haven't fully recovered from haha. Did a fish fry saturday night & sunday i smoked a butt, baby backs, beef ribs, brisket, chicken wings, & chicken legs.

Thanks....good point on buying a better pedal. I can't believe how much some of those cost. Guess it's like anything else though. I do know 1 guy that plays. I'll ask him if he has double pedals & if i can borrow them. Might save me a headache. He may have to wait on them until he can get a better set. Realistically he's only been playing a month so he has a lot to learn with just the single. Just thought it would be a cool reward for the good grades. I also thought about buying him a cymbal & stand too. Might be a fall back reward if the pedals don't work out.

Thanks bro....very helpful.

I bought my son ( 9) a cheaper set of electronic drums for xmas. Alesis DM6. You never know at this age if they're going to stick with something so I didn't want to drop a bunch of money on them only to have them sit in a corner collecting dust. It seems he's going to stick with them. He actually can keep a pretty good beat. He made the honor roll last quarter so I wanted to buy him some double kickers for it. The problem I have is not knowing how far apart the mallets are on most double kickers. I'm sure just like anything you get what you pay for but honor roll isn't worth $800 kick pedals.....I'm thinking less than $100. I see some used pedals on ebay for that and a few new pedals cheaper than that. I moved his single pedal around on his head to see what the range was before he hit a dead spot. Looks like he has 2.5"-3" of room there where the mallets can strike. Is that going to be enough? I'm regretting getting such a cheap set now but going in you don't know if they're going to actually stick with it. It's a great starter set for the money and at some point down the road we'll get him a better set but in the meantime I'd like to make this one work for him. I've played guitar 25 years but know very little when it comes to drums. Any advice you guys can give me would be appreciated.

something else they make that a buddy of mine has is a tent that goes in the back of the truck. He puts an air mattress in it and says it sleeps pretty good. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/napier_sportz_truck_tent_55_series_zpsea340b0a.jpg

you should also look at a really small pop up camper. I had one when I first moved up from tents that had 2 beds that folded out and a small table in it. Bought it for $300...used it for 12 years and sold it for $200.

your dad sounds like he was a good man.....something for you to be proud of. My dad was very similar to that. He never really had much money wise but he was very successful in other areas of his life. I was blown away by the amount of people that attended his funeral and everyone had all these stories of things he'd done for people that I never knew about.

I don't know anything about this so I was reading today to see what the attraction to jailbreaking a phone. I still don't really understand what the big draw is. I could see doing it so you can use a phone on a different carrier but past that I guess I just don't get it. Are the non-approved apps really worth all the headache this seems to come with? I'm not being a smart ass....quite the opposite.....I just don't know much about it.

I don't have any pictures on here but close your eyes and picture a blue Ibanez RG series that I put a lynch screamin demon pick up in and a natural finish BC Rich Bich. Also have a fender electric/acoustic. Play through a line 6 pod and. Crate 90w head/4x10 cabinet. I have a peavey classic chorus 212 combo that's currently loaned out. I play a lot of 80's stuff because that's what I grew up on mixed with some metal. Acoustic I play Texas red dirt stuff. Just sat down this week and learned van halen's hot for teacher. My pinky is killing me from practicing that opening hammer on to that. Been a while since I've had to use my pinky that much like that. I got it figured out but need to smooth it out quite a bit and the transition from the opening hammer on to that first run is still tricky at best. I'll get it though.
