I'm not saying I condone that but I certainly understand it.

I'm not easily impressed by stuff on the web but this video is cool as hell. http://www.streetfire.net/video/armless-guy-change-the-brake-pads-on-his-car_2272778.htm

I live out away from town for the most part so we get a few dogs a year that come through here. After my dog got his ass ate up I adopted a new rule. If the dog is friendly when it comes into the yard I'll give it water and check for tags and try to contact the owner ( have done this twice so far). If the dog even looks like it's not friendly it's getting shot. Haven't had to shoot one yet but you can bet that I won't even bat an eye at shooting one. I have 2 small kids. You want your aggressive dog alive then keep it off my property. Pretty simple.

LS1 had windows in the mains starting in 99........ 99+ also had the ports on the back of the block opened up for better oiling.

anything specifically you're looking for? There are even small but important differences within the LS1.

mopeds and fat women.....both fun to ride......just don't want anyone to see you on one. I see a lot of old people riding these in town but they're usually the bigger models that have signals and all that stuff. I'm sure you can buy some that are good to go off the lot...stop in and talk to a dealer.

Few years ago 2 pits came into the yard and attacked my dog. I got the shotgun and lit one of them up. Not sure if it killed it because it ran off but even if it didn't kill it that dog had a miserable few weeks. Called animal control out. They didn't do shit. They knew who's dog it was but never investigated further than asking them if it was their dogs. It was a huge waste of time even calling them out. I'd say if you get the chance kill it if it comes back on your property. You'll be doing everyone in your neighborhood a favor. What $1500 worth of vet bills looks like after they were finished with him. Surgically implanted tubes to drain fluid and he lost an ear in the deal. He was 11 at the time and I'd raised him from birth. One of the best dogs I've ever owned and although I knew he was old and short time I didn't want him going out like that so I paid whatever I had to in order to keep him around. He made it another 2 years. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/injuriesresized.jpg

that'll teach 'em. If you really want to get them back then ask for more time. When they give you 30 days you say "screw you guys.....I'm doing 60". Just busting your chops. Pay the fine and move on.

that's kinda how mine is.....he gets fed a few times a day but a lot of times he'll let food sit in his bowl for hours before finally getting to it. He just eats when he's hungry. Another thing I'm doing differently with him that I haven't with past dogs is a "no people food" rule. In the past I always hooked my dogs up with a little something here and there. With this guy I have never given him people food and make sure to tell people when they're over that he doesn't eat people food. Not only for weight and health reasons but he's big enough where the only safe place in the house to put bread/chips and stuff is on top of the fridge. I don't want him on the lookout for food left laying around. He's excellent about that too. He can easily eat directly off the table if he wanted too but never even attempts it.
-
a football board I go to does that....it'll only tell you who gave you + rep. To me it's kind of a cool feature but at the same time who really cares? If you're looking for your daily affirmation on here that's kind of scary.

I think the elevated bowl thing used to be what people thought and has since been changed so probably at the time that was the accepted thing to do.
-
you want a non-elevated food bowl(http://www.pets1st.com/articles/00043bloatindogs.asp). He doesn't really eat that fast but he can pound some frigin water. This dog drinks more water at a time than I've ever seen in my life. He's still a little young for that to be a huge concern but at some point I'll have to start watching how much water he drinks around eating time.
-
he's just young still and not filled out. Give it time....he'll fill out in a couple months or so. He eats 3 times a day and usually will leave some in the bowl each time so he's getting enough to eat. I'm also partial to having him a little under weight vs over weight. The extra weight really hurts these dogs hips and joints. I've did a lot of reading about the breed in general and I'm trying to avoid a few things that are diet related. Bloat is another big one you have to watch for.

just an update picture. Had him at the vet a month or so ago......101lbs. That was at 8 months I believe. Truly a bad ass dog. I'm a huge fan of the breed now. He's been such a great dog for the kids to have around and he's extremely laid back and mellow. He will bark if someone knocks on the door kinda thing but other than that he's very non-aggressive which is exactly what I wanted. Our last dog was a great guard dog but that's about all he was good for. You couldn't do anything with him or take him anywhere because he was nasty. This big guy here I can and do take everywhere with me. He's just big so that has to be taken into consideration. Last month we went out to PA camping. I bought a big ass cage and put him in the nose of the 5er to ride out there. I stopped halfway and got him out and let him walk around, get something to drink, and use the bathroom. When we get to the camp site out there I open the door and he's standing there looking at me. He ripped the entire door off the cage. haha He didn't tear the camper up or anything....just wanted out of the cage. He rode in the truck on the way home and we put 1 of the kids up front with the wife and I. That's how we'll do it from now on most likely. Few days ago a cat came into the yard. We have a cat so he's not cat aggressive but likes to play. He started chasing after it to play. Cat on the other hand took off and when Chunk went to turn to chase after it he started stumbling (still pretty clumbsy) and fell into a section of fence and knocked the whole damn fence down. haha http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/Photo0860.jpg

Just gauging interest really. I'll get pictures of them if anyone is interested. I have 2 Et streets (255/50/16) with 3 passes on them and 20-30 miles of regular driving. They're mounted on chrome trans am rims that are in fair shape (scratches...no curb rash). Don't want to separate. $350

I have one out of a 98 he can have too.

yep....you will see a bunch of different ways to cook ribs. What I do is use a dry rub, put them on the rack at 250 for ~2 hours with heavy smoke, then wrap them in foil. After an hour I open the foil and check them to see where they're at. I take them out of the foil and put my sauce on them. After about 30 minutes I check to see how done they are. I put them bone side down and insert the tongs about halfway up the rack from the end. Pick the ribs up and they should droop down and the meat should start to tear. They're done. If they're fall off the bone they're over cooked. You want the meat to tear away from the bone. It should come off the bone but it shouldn't just fall apart.

I'd like to hear all sides of the story. The article fails to mention any past issues he may have had nor did they say he didn't have any. For all I know he could be a POS that they've been looking for a reason to get rid of for a while now. 17 years and doing 1 good thing doesn't mean he's an outstanding officer on a day to day basis.

huh? I wouldn't say the motor made that much power....the gas is what allowed it to run and make that power.

season that smoker first......mix olive oil and apple juice in a spray bottle and hose down the inside of the smoker and fire box real good. Bring it up to temp and keep spritzing it every half hour or so. Do that for a few hours to put a season on the inside of the smoker. I forget if that comes with cast iron cooking grates or not. If so rub those down with straight oil to put a season on those too. You'll be happy with that set up. There's not much you'll need to do that it can't do for you. The only issue I have with it is the size of the barrel. When I smoke I'm usually smoking quite a bit of food. I need a bigger barrel than I have right now. Last weekend I had 6 pork butts on it that went 7-9lbs. It was crowded in there to say the least.
-
chargriller duo.....it'll do everything you'll ever need it to do. If you shop around and look for deals you'll get it with the side box for $300ish or less. Very versatile. Has a smoker on one end that you add a side box too, a propane grill on the other end, and a gas burner next to that. You can also grill directly over the coals in the side box. Not sure you can get any more versatile than that out of one set up in that price range.

that's the one I got.....I really like mine. My buddies have the charbroiler like you see at wal-mart. Those arent' bad either. I like their firebox better because you can open the end and just rake the coals out into a bucket but overall the chargriller cooks a little better with the shorter and fatter barrel. Both pretty decent smokers though.....and don't cost $800.
