    Direct TV?

When I was thinking about getting it we looked at the price after all the discounts ran out and it really wasn't a huge savings. You do get hooked up initially but when everything is all said and done it was only a few bucks a month really. As far as the service....I have a shit ton of trees around the house so I was really worried about reception issues even though they told me I'd be fine. I just figured at the end of the day it was only 2 years and I can pretty much put up with anything for 2 years. I hated having warner so I was willing to risk it. Glad I did. Your other option is to call your cable company and tell them you're thinking of going to directv because it's cheaper and see if they'll match or come close. My father in law does stuff like that every couple of years to keep his cable bill in check. I forget who he has but they always give him discounts to keep him as a customer.
  4. Asian buffet? Maybe you guys can get a group rate on getting your stomachs pumped tomorrow.

    Direct TV?

yes she is I've had it going on 2 years now. I got it specifically for the nfl package. In the last 2 years I can count on one hand the number of times it's went down while watching and like other said.....it was heavy thunderstorms and was only out a couple of minutes. We had an issue with the downstairs box not communicating with the dvr box upstairs. Called them...they were here 2 days later and fixed it so I can't really complain about the customer service. Let me know if you want to save $10/month for 10 months....I'd be willing to do that for you. Of course I'd also save the same. Another thing too is you can call them and cut deals. We got the nfl package free our first year. My wife called them this year and their advertised price was $199 I believe ( still worth it) and they knocked $40 off that and gave us some free movie channels for another 3 months. Next year our contract is up......I'll get it for free next year because I'll have more bargaining power with the contract being up. I'm also going to hit them up for some more stuff. You have to kinda be a dick and willing to drop them if it came right down to it but they will almost always cave and give you a good deal.
  6. yeah because the ford's are known to have great trans backing those powerstrokes
  7. difference is.....ours isn't on a flat bed when we calculate our mpg
  8. nothing major really....33" Toyo Open country, 4" MBRP turbo back straight pipe, & a 90HP tow tune with efilive. I modded the stock airbox too and have a DSP5 switch plus EGR blocker in the garage I haven't put on yet. older pic before the exhaust and I had kuhmo's on it.....the kuhmo's sucked. These Toyo's are a much better mud tire. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/009resized.jpg
  9. after owning a diesel I will never own another gas truck. I can't imagine towing my camper around the country with a gas burner....I'd have to sell body parts to pay for the gas. My buddy bought a 6L 2500 and I get about the same gas mileage towing as he gets unloaded. Unloaded I get 20+mpg on the highway (have seen 23mpg). Towing 10k I get 12-14mpg.
  10. I did a lot of reading and test driving when I bought mine. I ended up with an 06 LBZ duramax. The Allison was a huge draw for me. The durmax engine is a great engine but backing it with the Allison was pure genius on GM's part because it's by far the best tranny out of the big 3 as far as durability. The 06's also had fewer issues with injectors and things like that although there are still some common issues with them as there is with pretty much every truck ever made. I would say do your reading, take some test drives, and buy whatever suits your needs. What kind of weight are you looking at towing? Keep in mind the drw is gonna be a pain in the ass to drive around town on a daily basis and you can add several hundred dollars to every tire purchase. Unless you have to have it I would go srw. I know mine yanks my 10k 5th wheel camper around like it's nothing.
  11. I only see 1 bitchy person here......
  12. my son took karate all last winter but stopped for spring baseball, summer vacations, and now is in fall baseball. I'll sign him back up when the season is over. With a couple kids both wanting to do stuff at some point you just have to pick and choose between stuff. I have no idea what kind of karate it was....Wat Da Fook maybe?
  13. To be fair she's not suing them for an arm and leg.....just an arm
  14. wish cokes with sugar were easier to find....been a long time since I've had one. I buy a pepsi throwback every now and then when I see them which are good but not as good as coke with sugar. Anyone else here old enough to remember when everything was glass bottles? I remember the 4 pack of 32oz returnable bottles too. Every week when mom went to the store she'd take back the bottles and the grocery store always had huge stacks of returns.
  15. I've heard a ton of bad things about all the ford motors minus the 7.3. I believe everyone pretty much agrees that 7.3 was a great motor. I had a buddy with the 6.0 and he had an ass ton of problems with it the whole time he owned it. I like my duramax but if I were going to buy any other diesel it'd be a cummins.
  16. I would go bigger on the cam.....that's the cam I run in my LS1. Nice cam and a good driver but that LS2 could use more.
  17. just scrap basically. I'd have to measure to see what I need but I need 1/4" plate that's maybe 18x24 or so and a larger piece of 1/8". I found out there's a scrap place here in town....I'm going to go talk to them next week and see what they have.
  18. haven't had the smoker running at all this week....gotta get up your way to the ace hardware and get some charcoal. No progress really on the mower either. Got in a box of parts today that had the front axle, spindles, and kart hubs in it. I can start building the front end now. Need to score a place for scrap metal. Know any places out this way? Buying the shit new gets extremely expensive. I need some 1/8" stuff to make my jackshaft cover and I need some 1/4" stuff to build a reinforcing plate for the jackshaft to sit on. I'm hoping to get front wheels and all 4 tires next week or so and then I can set my height and lower the mower. After that it's just steering and brakes.
  19. tires are sold.....still have the rims if anyone is interested in those.
  20. what size deck do you have? Have you took that spindle off there yet? They're a really simple and cheap part really. You can replace just the bearings in them for $3-4. I'll text you some pictures of what I have later and we'll see if maybe one of my spindles will work on yours.
  21. I have a 42" deck from a craftsman that I'd sell you....make me an offer. Also, check out jackssmallengines.com for deck parts for it. Cheap and a good company to deal with.
  22. Anyone know where there are any mower bone yards at? I'm making a racer and am looking for 2 specific trans. The one I have will work but if I can find one of the other 2 cheap I'd use one of those.
  23. bump....make an offer...will separate if I get a decent offer on tires only.
  24. Anyone need rims/tires for the track? 3 passes and just a few highway miles on them. Rims have some fine scratches like someone used an abrasive to clean them. I bought the rims used a few years back for track tires. $300 http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/020.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/021.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/022.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/023.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/024.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/026.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/027.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/028.jpg
