I have an 06 duramax that I love. 4" straight piped, bars cranked a little, and a conservative tow tune. Hauls ass for such a big truck.

gonna keep these.....no longer for sale.

one last bump before the track day

if you're looking for small, light, and quiet Sam's has champion 2000i's for $449 up on Morse. I just bought one a couple weeks ago to run the camper on. I've been using a 5500 and what a pain in the ass it was to lug that thing around....weighs 160lbs. The new champion 2k's are rated the same as the honda 2k's for half the price of a honda. 53db, 46lb's, and runs 9.6 hrs on 1 gallon of gas. Very happy with mine. It has a smaller motor than the honda's (80cc vs 98cc) so it doesn't have the balls like a honda does but for what I needed it's perfect.

I have one that looks like it took some work but really doesn't. Take chicken breasts (I've used fresh and frozen) and pound them out with a meat hammer. Melt butter in a pan. Crush cheez it crackers in a dish (I've used all kinds of stuff for this part) Slice cheddar cheese into 1/2" x 1/2" squares. Dip chicken into butter and lay that into the cheezits Put a block of cheese in the middle and wrap chicken around it. Put chicken into a muffin pan cheezits side up. Cook at 350 for ~ 30 minutes. I always season the chicken a little too after it's in the butter and before it hits the crackers. Just sprinkle whatever seasonings you like on there. I put a little garlic powder, salt, and pepper. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/001resized.jpg after it's cooked but the flash killed the color http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/6-2.jpg I will also melt some butter in a skillet and throw a bag of fresh brussel sprouts in there with some salt and pepper and cook those with a lid on them. Brussel sprouts aren't for everyone though but we eat a lot of them here.

finally got out and took some pictures of these......as you can see there's 1 knick in the rims that I got a close up of and it looks like someone used something abrasive to try and clean them with at some point (bought these used a few years ago for track tires). http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/020.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/021.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/022.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/023.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/024.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/025.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/026.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/027.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/028.jpg

I feel he got a fairly decent deal.....I don't want to post the price he paid but I feel he paid a fair price. He didn't steal it but he didn't overpay either. Has some pretty nice stuff done to it. Trickflow heads, hpe 408 build 7k miles ago, nitrous express direct port kit, big brake kit, LG tranny, rps stage 3 clutch, and a ton of other stuff.

I offered to go out with the dirtymax and a trailer with him and tow it back but he's on vacation so him and his wife are flying out and then taking a few days to drive it back making some stops along the way. Nothing wrong with that either. Just needs to be legal I guess. Temp tags is probably the way to go.
-
I believe that's probably his safest option to know for sure he's legal....go to a BMV out there and get a 30 day tag for it.
-
I could've sworn I read somewhere that you can do this......I'd just hate to get him in a bind over something that I'm not completely sure of. He already has a 98.....another option is to just carry those plates with him and don't speed.
-
car he's going to buy: 98 with an HPE 408 and direct port http://i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h468/TangeloPearlC5/IMG_0180.jpg http://i1111.photobucket.com/albums/h468/TangeloPearlC5/IMG_0078.jpg

Buddy is going out of state to buy a vette. He doesn't know what to do about tags. I thought I'd read somewhere that you can drive it home on the title only and then get your Ohio title and tags here. Anyone know that for sure? I've been searching DMV's site but haven't found exactly what I'm looking for yet.

sold for $250 shipped...pending payment. I can live with that.
-
I knew the LM2 was the newer and more desired unit but I need to read and see what the differences are. You got a good deal on the LM-1....no way I'd sell this one for $75. It's worth that to just keep in the cabinet.
-
I still have those battery brackets if you ever want them.......I don't get up to Columbus very often these days but if you're ever going to be out this way let me know.
-
Mods....delete or move if necessary. I'm just trying to get an idea on what to ask for it. I have an LM-1 with the rpm kit, inductive clamp, and exhaust clamp. Sensor has one use on it. I *think* I paid $400ish for the kit plus had to buy the exhaust clamp for $75 and the inductive clamp for $20. I've been running an LC-1 for a couple years now and this has just sat in the cabinet. $300 shipped sound about right?

bump cell phone pic http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/etstreet.jpg can get more pics with a regular camera......I put a gauge on them. 6/32's left......9/32's is new. $275

I did sausages in the slow cooker with a couple bottles of Mids dumped in there along with some bell peppers, onions, and banana peppers mixed in. Let that go on low all day. Been a crock pot week....did a corned beef brisket and cabbage yesterday.
-
that would be taking a knife to a bear fight......
-
people have already tried that.....then the ATF comes in and burns your house down and starts shooting people.

I got it fixed. Had to drive all the way out to wapakoneta to get a new filter head. Primed up and started and stayed running. Gonna let it sit for a while and try it again to make sure it holds prime but I don't see why it wouldn't.
-
it won't hold prime....it'll prime up and run for 10-15 seconds and die.
-
I'm having an issue with my 06 dirtymax. I noticed the last few days it was taking a little longer than usual to start.....not excessive but just not starting on the bump of the key like normal. I decided today to swap the fuel filter just in case. Well now the fucking thing won't hold prime at all. It'll prime up and run for 10-15 seconds and lose prime. I don't see any fuel leaking anywhere around the wif sensor or filter head. I looked over the lines as best I could and see no fuel leaking anywhere. I'm going to go get a new bleed screw tomorrow at the dealership and see if that's where my air is coming in at. Anyone know of any shops that carry parts for these trucks? I'd like to find an o-ring rebuild kit for that filter head in case I have to do that. Not sure what a dealer charges for the filter head but I'm betting it's not cheap. I'm between a rock and hard place here. We were supposed to leave Saturday and tow the 5er out to VA Beach for a few days. Kids have never seen the ocean and I've been talking it up to them the last week or so. It's really gonna break their hearts if we can't go. I have 2 full days to get this POS up and running. I'm praying it's that plastic POS bleeder but a back up plan would be nice to have. I don't mind buying a WIF sensor because those aren't too bad cost wise but I really don't want to buy a whole head when I can get a rebuild kit on the cheap.....I just don't have a week to wait on it to get here.
