I got it off. I agree on the abs and I'm just trying to sell it and all people hear is a brake problem. There's a lady interested in it and I tried explaining what the abs is but it was a lost cause. It's just sporadic but if $47 will get the truck sold I'll do it. If I were doing this for me that old hub wouldn't be going back on there.....I'd swap it out for a new one but like I say, I'm just trying to get it sold.
-
I got it off there....just kept after it with the gear puller and impact gun. All this BS for an ABS sensor.

while I've been hammering it I can't help but think that there's really no place for that shaft to go....is there enough slop in it to knock it back through there? Doesn't seem like there is.
-
any tricks to getting that thing off? I've got the nut off the half shaft and the 3 nuts out of the back of the hub and I can't get the damn thing off there. I've tried hammering the shaft back through the hub and pulling the hub with a 3 arm gear puller. I got it to move out a little bit but not much. Am I missing something?

sinclair is the road the alrosa is on correct? How far down from the alrosa is it and is it on the right or left traveling from morse to 161?

maybe when I was younger but not these days.....

is there anywhere local to buy pads?

yeah, tough watching Phil knowing what's gonna happen. When he did the Jake trade I thought.....man, what a life altering thing for Jake. Knowing that you got traded away from your dad's last King Crab trip. In the long run though I think it'll be good for both Jake's. I agree on Keith from the Wizzard too....just something about that guy rubs me the wrong way. Not a fan and I enjoyed watching him get knocked on his ass by Jonathan.

I posted last year when I bought my son his 4 wheeler. Got the daughter out today and taught her to ride it. She's been riding Zach's old 12v 4 wheeler since last year but I believe she's ready to move up. Not to bad for a 3 year old. I still won't let her get very far away from me and I have the remote kill switch in case something goes wrong but she's more mature at 3 than he was so I think it won't take her long to get the hang of it. She still wants to ride the foot brake but she's learning. 2 real short video's I shot with our camera....I didn't want to spend to much time taking video instead of being ready to kill it in case she decided to throttle it. I had the governor all the way in but it'll still clip along pretty good once they get rolling. part 1 part 2

one cool thing about having kids is having all this shit around to snack on. Kids snacks have come a long way since I was little. The lunchables with the capri suns or bottled water and flavor packets are great. Kid cuisine also has these meals my kids like and their fried chicken is awesome.

I put laminate flooring (dupont from Home Depot) in our kitchen ~5 years ago. Our kitchen is our main entry way and we have a dog and 2 kids and it looks exactly the same shape as the day we installed it. I suck at home improvement type stuff and was still able to do it. Check out one of those Lowes or Home Depot classes they have or you can learn a ton from the web. With our dog and kids there was no way I was going to spend the coin on regular wood and have them scratch it all to hell. One thing I did that wasn't required on the dupont flooring was I glued every seam to help act as a water barrier. Stuff has been spilled in the kitchen and the kids track in mud and snow on it and it still looks great. Just clean it up if water gets on there and you'll be fine.

slight jack coming since his question was answered and you guys seem to know this stuff: What kinda ball park price would I be looking at to have a dvd player installed into my truck? I'd like to have a central player that both the kids can watch in the back seat and I'd like for it to be self contained.

I started to do this 2 years ago and it doesn't take long before friends of friends start calling you. I was at a disadvantage to your situation because I don't have room for a lift. I ended up just telling people I wasn't doing it anymore. The main reason was because I was tired of people bringing these busted ass cars over here that have barely been cleaned the last 5 years and expecting me to spend a weekend on them for $100 in labor. Got old. Pick an hourly rate and buy a book with the rated hours for jobs in it and stick to that. If I ever did it again that's what I would do. Also, if you get in good with the parts guys most will give you discounts that you can either pass on to the customer to keep your prices down or keep and keep your profits up if you pick a lower hourly rate. Good luck.

make sure you get one of those big ass deep fried corndogs inside the track. You can hear your arteries clogging but they sure are good.
-
if you get there in time Sat. you can buy busch (whatever they're calling it these days) tickets out in front of the track for $20 if you wait until the race starts. The drive to and from hotels is always the problem down there....that and the rates are completely crazy for some average at best hole in the wall. In comparison the campground we stayed at with my camper was $160 for the entire week. If you ever get the chance to camp down there do it.......huge party the entire weekend. Met a ton of cool people down there. Buy something from a hauler just so you can say you did but the party area with the tents is waaay cheaper. Beer is not completely insane there either. I forget what we were paying for it the last time but it wasn't that bad. I normally take a little 12 pack cooler with me and load it up to get me started then when that's gone I'll just buy some there. It's an all day affair at the track so get there early.
-
how far is your hotel from the track? I've been down there a bunch of times and it's a blast every time. The last trip we took me and my brother hauled my camper down there and stayed within walking distance of the track. That's the way to do it. We partyed our ass off the whole weekend.
-
you can buy tickets all day long outside the track for right around face value, little more for good seats. There are literally hundreds of places to buy from on the main drag.

thanks....I intend to stay pretty conservative with it. It'll be a while most likely before I do much tuning wise because I've tuned gas engines but not diesel and it's a completely different animal. I want to do a lot of reading first so that I'm comfortable with it.

we've been really happy with our Durango. I would at least suggest test driving one to see what you think. It's optioned really well for the price. Pop up 3rd row and the interior is pretty nice in it. My wife has 130k on ours and the only thing I've ever had to do to it was general maintenance and clean the iac valve on it. Runs great and for it's size gets decent gas mileage. We get ~23 on the highway and she averages 18 combined.

yep....plus a small lift and better tires/rims. It's all in the plan. I have to sell my old truck first though. I have a spot on my efilive cable this truck will go on and I'll probably do a turbo back with a cat and muffler delete.
-
yep, that's the plan except I can't call it a day at that. I have an open spot on my efilive cable so it'll go on there and I'll do a few other mods. Not going to go radical on it as I want it to stay somewhat dependable but I'll do exhaust and a conservative tune. $26k sounds like he's having a glowplug issue or something. This one fires right up and idles/drives fine when it's cold. You just have to give the plugs 5 seconds or so to heat up when it's dead cold and then it fires right up and runs normal. This is my first diesel so I have a lot to learn but everyone that has a diesel tells me that once you have one you won't go back to gas. We'll see I guess.
-
anyone need a stump pulled? 06 duramax.....nothing special really. Been wanting a diesel for a while now and finally found the right one. http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj37/0rion_album/031resized.jpg

what kinda smoker do you have? I have a texas style chargriller and a big smoky mountain propane although I loaned out the propane smoker because I never used it. I do a lot of briskets and butts usually. I'll mix in some wings, ribs, country ribs, and bologna here and there too. I'm serious when I say I smoke stuff almost every week. I just went and bought 2 briskets, a butt, and wings to do this weekend for the superbowl. I'll grill the stuffed sausages. There are about 4 of us that are into smoking but they live up by canton. We still get together pretty regular and cook. We're putting together a smoke wagon now to start carting around and do some contests hopefully this summer.
