Doc, I'm of the exact same thought process: light as the crowds were in the winter, having a coffee place where we could still meet in the "off-season" is something I'll have to work with the group to figure out.

I interviewed most of the groups (outside of Doc and the CR regulars) and the unanimous decision is to stay. Coffee or no coffee shop, we're not going anywhere. Casto is fine with that.

I do love the idea. Personally for me, I barely can make it to Lennox. Keep CR in the loop when you're doing it! I would love to tag along sometime, maybe in the Lincoln.

The reason it's closing down is JLL owns the property (Casto manages it locally) and they felt that the CoreLife Eatery (http://eatatcore.com/) would be a better demographic fit instead of Johnny Rockets and Cup O'Joe. http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/donshocked.gif

I spoke with Bruce @ Casto (He's got an older Z and is a regular of our group when he has the time). He says that any outside vendor selling on the property is a violation of the contracts they have with the lessee's (other shops). It could introduce an ugly battle with any franchise that wants to take Casto/JLL to task. In addition, if we tried to bring in outside not-for-profits that sold coffee/donuts for fundraising, then we would be offering up the opportunity for every charity to participate - and that's a dangerous Pandora's box to deal with. At this point, you buy coffee at the Starbucks in Barnes and Noble, or you fend for yourself for the time being. There's nothing stopping you from bringing your own drink to the parking lot.

+42. The Discount Tire guy said that they will still have the same casting of "DR34" in the inside of one of the spokes, but if it's for BMW then it's the same. 17x7.5, 5x120, flat black.

GOOD NEWS! I was chatting with someone at Discount Tire - the Drag DR-37 is the same casting as the DR-34, just modified to accomodate the OEM center cap and it's single-drilled bolt pattern instead of dual-drilled. They gave me a $15 discount so I just bought another rim. This way I don't have to buy a whole new set of wheels. Thanks for the input, fellas! Now I'm off to Amazon to buy some CBR tires, mount them on the BMW, and complain to Derek that I'm stupid for cheaping out on tires again. :lol:

These are ET38 offsets, so they should fit with a 205/55-16 tire (that's what I'm using on the borrowed set on the car right now). I've got a couple guys looking into the Drag DR-34's in 5x120 bolt pattern (thanks, guys)... This whole process really pissed me off in the worst way...cracking a wheel and then having such a tough time finding a replacement...

Yesterday, I met a guy while looking for replacement wheels for my BMW. He had a set of "M Contour" replica wheels that would've been a good fit. However, despite "Made in Italy", they also have "WINTER TIRES ONLY" cast on the backs of them. I worried that this wouldn't be a good all-around street wheel, and passed on the deal. They are feeling very lightweight, cast aluminum no doubt. But, is this cast on them so people don't track them? Is it recommended that the tires be 45- or 50-series sidewalls so they don't crack? This would be for a mainly-highway driving car. Should I be worried running these wheels with an all-season (as opposed to HOOOOOOSIERS BRO) tire?

As a 1g CTS-V owner, I can tell you it isn't so much of a "fun car", as it's a pretty serious sporting sedan/grand tourer. It's 42xx lbs, and is waaay more focused on an insulated experience in the cabin than driver engagement. It performs, but not as well as something lighter and more mod-friendly of a platform.

I had 80-120lb Weimaraners, and a "gentle-leader" is the best way to do it. It puts a nylon harness around the snout and head. You could have a 200lb dog and it's the best way to control him/her.
