  1. First off, you just summoned him. Good job. Second of all, OF COURSE Kerry has been crafting a response. He's compiling his thoughts, making sure to correctly cite credble sources for reference material, and will be copypasta'ing momentarily. Waiting for CR_healthcare.doc drop in 3....2....1....
  2. Very cool. Thanks for sharing!
  3. Yup. He's usually at Cuco's or Rancho Allegre.
  4. It's a Taurus engine like the first Acura NSX used an Accord V6, or the Corvette uses a Tahoe V8, etc... I'm impressed that Infiniti, Lincoln are squeezing 400hp out of 3L daily-driver sedans. Mr. Regular did a funny bit about "engines are not magical" in his recent Stagea review.
  5. Oh yes...this shop did my FiL's '02 Z06 (which Tom now has!) drivers' side bolster after it cracked due to wear. They did a great job, and their shop was old-school cool with projects. That's it, CR....that's all I got for upholstery insight.
  6. J&J quoted me $225 for a redone foam and totally reupholstered (seatback and seatbottom) bench seat in vinyl for Cleetus ('82 Ford F-100). It would've been around $150 to have just the ripped bottom done. I found a worn-but-untorn red cloth seat out of a 1995 F-150 for $85. I'm inclined to just go that route.
  7. Alright, generally I hate how off-the-wall these HOONIGAN guys act because I'm getting older and GET OFF MY LAWN and all that.... ........but this dood's drifting lines were ridic. I give my props to that sir. :megusta: (Advance to around 14min)
  8. J&J Auto Upholstery in Franklinton
  9. That's a really good idea. Thanks, David. Most of the courses I've played use battery-powered carts instead of gas ones...still, a good idea.
  10. The ONLY thing I have against that Mustang....is it's an automatic. :gabe:
  11. My boy has both a Tesla ($700!) and Corvette PowerWheels, compliments of grandparents. The cars are plenty fast enough and he doesn't drive them that often. Actually to his credit we've gone on a lot more bike trips this summer. If my kids didn't have some decent PowerWheels already, I'd be more inclined to do a go-kart. I may need to wait until the fall, when people are done and looking to unload before winter storage becomes a space/cost concern for owners...
  12. It's Stanley Ross's - he's part of he Ross Labs family that sold to Abbott. He's...uhh...got a little bit of money to play with. That's what happens when your family pretty much invented Similac.
  13. Kerry, my son is NEVER going to race a go-kart, so if I'm spending more money on a limited-use gas powered device, then I'm going to do a golf cart that my family and I can use to get around UA and use it for parties/parades. UA's 100-year anniversary is next year so it would be fun to go to some of the restaurants/parks that will be hosting events. Families I know rent a 4-passenger golf cart for $300 over 4th of July weekend, every year...I could kill a handful of birds (fun runabout, neighborhood cart for son/daughter, parade-special) by buying something under $1500 and fixing it up. Every home-built go-kart seems frought with ridiculous compromises (unless you spend $1500+ for a shifter/dedicated-race cart), and a minimum of several hundred dollars to not get much use out of it. A golf cart that hauls 2-4 people would be fun and something I'd get a lot more use out of it. P.S>>> If any of you younger guys without families or civic connections think this is wierd, I totally get it. Just trust me when I tell you after settling into a community with adult friends involved around town and kids in schools/sports/programs, that something like a family golf cart makes a lot more sense.
  14. I need to figure out Facebook Market...never used it before.
  15. I shot a message to that H-D seller in Sunbury, too. No response. I swear CL is full of scammers. I've never had good luck with it.
  16. So my son wants a go-kart, and after 4th of July I'd love to get something to tool around UA in. Son is OK with a golf cart that we can customize. I think the prices people are charging on CL for golf carts are ridiculous. Anyone have a cheap, older model of golf cart that could be fixed up and bought relatively cheap? Thanks! FYI there is apprently a $500 EZ-GO 36v cart in upper Arlington for $500. I messaged them earlier but haven't heard back. Now thinking I just put my name on a scam list somewherd
  17. That would be statistically in line with what's going on in society today...
  18. Can't help, mang. For perspective, the corporate family insurance we have through my company costs over $700/month, deductible through payroll. Pretty good in-network coverage doe...
  19. I'll try to make it out to Busch Blvd/Crowne Pointe. Is Friday or Saturday the big evening? weather should be great for Saturday...
  20. I think about this car in the back of my mind....would love to V8-swap my E36 318 at some point. Thanks for the quick update. Was wondering what happened.
  21. Elements are $1500 trade-in? That's cheap! I'd pay that for an Elephant over a Civic all day long...
  22. No worries, Shaun. I didn't want to change from the 17s. Most E36's I feel don't look right with 18s or bigger wheels IMO. Plus, 17in tires are pretty damn cheap. JP, I'm good. You ARE right, though....there are ALWAYS cars on the side of that highway, right where my tires blew out. I wonder why it's so bad.
  23. Steve, I will be shocked...AND PISSED I've got a HF 80-ton press in my garage. We'll see how that control arm looks after I'm done with it. (Probably a mangled mess but whatevs)
  24. Drag DR34's (multi-bolt pattern) Drag DR37's (BMW single-pattern) It was not my style of wheel, but they have grown on me with the look of the BMW and I didn't want to do all new wheels if I could get one replacement for cheap. $100 to have a 17x7.5 shipped to my house. Was decently impressed by the casting quality and light weight. I've spent more on a ChinaBay set of 4 wheels for my old Passat years ago, and this brand (sold through America's Tire/Discount Tire chains) was good for a street wheel.
