  1. Be Grant: know a lot about running parameters of Toyota engines, own Toyota engine that doesn't run. :gabe:
  2. That's a badass car for the price. Southern state used cars FTW. You get a 1999 car with that mileage in the Rust Belt, and you'll be dealing with frozen bolts and rust spots.
  3. CTS-V: cheap performance sedan FTW.
  4. Guys, I updated my OP with a career-site application page. No one is pulling credit reports or anything fancy; just the "official" way to get your contact info and resume through the process. PLEASE PM ME if you post for the position!!! I'll be sure to let people know who's coming through the application system. FYI: College degree not required but certainly preferred. This is a position for people who will be taught the inner workings of the financial world and go out to get companies/individuals to help them. If you're halfway interested in making this a career I really suggest going through the application process. I know I sound like I'm drinking the Kool-Aid but I've been doing this for 15 years and there aren't a lot of in-roads into this industry for newbies that pay a salary while you learn AND get you on an experienced team to prospect...great opportunity for someone that wants to run with it. There is a 60-year old ex-business owner that's in his second year TFA in Michigan and killing it; it's a second career for him and the financial advisor team he's on helped him a lot.
  5. LOL...that's my BMW. On occasion when I drove it this past winter I'd look down, be reminded of warmer weather and close of Daylight Savings, and say "Soon enough...."
  6. +1. Referred my FiL to Jordan for a used Pathfinder and the man is one happy surgeon.
  7. I'm surprised the half-shaft needs to be shortened...didn't those axles come in the Eurowise kit pre-sized for the Mk1 application?
  8. 40% payout in top bracket...say you've got $100-200MM in AUM (assets under management) and your fee is 1-1.5%...$500k-600k+ a year? That's not even the top 10%...that's like the top two quintiles... Plus, there are "kicker" bonuses for making referral goals to product specialists like myself, AI (Alternative Investments), Insurance, mortgages, etc... FYI, I'm not a financial advisor anymore, but some of the ones I cover through BoA are some of the finest business professionals I've ever worked with.
  9. Straight up trade for Cleetus...plus a set of Rocket Hurricane wheels from the '70s. I'll be waiting for your call.
  10. Part of my job at Bank of America involves working with Merrill Lynch financial advisors. This year, there is a HUGE focus on developing the "next generation" of advisors through their TFA (Team Financial Advisor) program. EDIT: Apply here! http://careers.bankofamerica.com/job-detail/1500001432/united-states/us/merrill-lynch-team-financial-advisor-program-business-developer-polaris-oh In a nutshell, you'd be in a 2-year program, making $50k/year to start plus benefits. Linked up with a team of experienced financial advisors that take you into their group to work with their existing clients and prospect for new ones, your first year sales goal is $100k in fee-based business (which I can also help you achieve) and you'll get $10k. Second year you need to get $200k, but you'll make a $20k bonus. Then, you're off to the races with your team. No existing financial advisor, FINRA licensing required: truly, they only care about self-starters that want to learn what's right for investment clients and delivering...they will take care of the rest. If this was ever an industry you'd want to break into, I really can't think of a better way to shack up with some serious FA's and help them grow their book of business and make your own success story at the same time. Please let me know if you're interested. www.ml.com/publish/mkt/campaigns/careers/ARD5YR7G.pdf
  11. Dat Slangshot doe... I'm intadested, depending on the evening's frivolities around my house Fri/Sat...
  12. No problem, J. Just sell me your Lightning for cheap when the new tee-ruk comes in
  13. Used these guys to move the CTS-V from CA to OH. One trailer, no shuffling. Great service. Check out their website at the bottom for an online quote generating tool that was very handy. They're a broker, so they'll ask what level of shipment you'd like (covered, open, quick, etc...) and they did a great job.:thumbup: Quicken Auto Transport, LLC Chris DeFilippis Transport Coordinator Toll Free: 855-859-4862 Local: 813-445-8848 X141 Mobile: 813-759-3103 cdefilippis@quickenautotransport.com http://www.quickenautotransport.com
  14. CTS-V is an awesome anvil, but not for $25k-ish. More like $18k. I like simplicity. Nice to have performance/fun of a car 2-3x the price. DAT TUPPERWARE INTERIOR DOE...

  16. I scrolled through most of those photos. Definitely appreciate the history lesson. I vividly remember in school seeing the "Elephant's Foot": a huge, solidified glass column that formed from super-heated nuclear fuel and sand that melted and then cooled below the radiator. Also scary to think (especially for you youngsters) how close we came to a similar situation in Three Mile Island in PA, though the operators and systems prevented a total failure.
  17. Just got an email from my partner...he's got a Softail Breakout in his factory for exhaust development. The "Kick" model above is being done up in titanium and I'll be getting product this month! I do appreciate people's feedback. More to come as we get this off the ground.
  18. Couple thoughts: - Been there, done that with a broken caliper bleeder screw. F that noise. - That blank panel on top of the valve cover is screaming for some stickers/graphics/pinstriping
  19. Fuck yes! Not only does it run, but that thing runs pretty damn well. Congrats so far! Amazing how quickly you got it together...
  20. I don't knock the pricing, but won't the NSX be on par with the GT for performance for a lot less?
