  1. It was a great venue. Google "Burke Lakefront Airport" or even the old "Cleveland Grand Prix" to see how the track was laid out. What was awesome is that aside from the barriers, many of the grandstand seats gave an awesome view of most of the race. I did ticket sales (mind you, this was pre-internet ) so I manned a phone and used a DOS-based software program to select seats for individuals as well as corporate viewers. It was very cool interacting with some of the global race teams as well as sponsors; while politics make everything interesting on a grand scale, I certainly interacted with great corporate/hospitality contacts. Anyway, CR should be interested because if you haven't made it to Mid-Ohio, Indy or COTA in Texas, this would be a great and relatively local race venue to check out.
  2. I did a summer internship in 1999 for IMG, which helped run this event in the past. Would be cool to see it come back as a shot in the arm not just for the region but for Indy racing... http://www.autoblog.com/2015/04/06/indy-cleveland-airport-return-report/

  4. I'd have a tough time staying focused with a C6 Vette on his rear bumper. Great pics, Wags!
  5. CTS-V? Girls with torque wrenches??? Great pics, Wags...
  6. http://i.imgur.com/pnwaivy.png LOL. Be Cars and Choads: Not elitest, but you're not worthwhile unless you're in our group.
  7. I'd be owning shit... If I lived in Arkansas :barf:
  8. So, people are still talking about this... -Is it because the actions to fire Clarkson was justified, and people were horrified by his "behaviour"? -Is it because his termination was unjustified, and people are horrified by the decision of the BBC?
  9. First off, any proper mod plans should be considered with a budget...how much do you want to spend on this "problem"? If you're losing traction, you risk losing more money in a wreck. Sounds like the cheap option is to back off on the power. Save your car and your health. If you want to stay in the power pool, and you got some bucks to spend, do tires/wheels and then look at suspension. Follow up to the above, once things start breaking because you're hooking, it's time to upgrade!
  10. This makes sense. Especially if the coils still fire properly AND you've removed much of the high-heat source with the re-routed and opened exhaust. Those hairline cracks look like they could be serviced with hi-temp RTV sealant too???
  11. LOL. Well played by your mother. Yes...glad to hear you got the stick. If everyone buys automatics, then the TERRORISTS HAVE ALREADY WON.
  12. Awesome car, props on getting a stick shift as well!!!
  13. interested in a BioForce? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000Y36FC0?vs=1#
  14. They were all in love with dying, they were drinking from the fountain that was pouring like an avalanche coming down the mountain.
  15. So, I spoke to AMC Lennox today: There will be several "houses" (theaters, I'm assuming) that will be showing F&F7 this weekend. If we catch a showing before noon, it'll be $5.99 a ticket. If it's after noon but before 4pm, it'll be $7.49. We will know what movie times there are on Saturday tomorrow evening. More to come!

  17. I'd naturally bish that it's an autotragic, but the further we get from these being in production the more I appreciate the G8. Many happy miles to you and Ashley in this fine ride. Needs moar low and some exhaust.
  18. It was a long winter. We'll chalk it up to just that. There are no winners in the game you think we're all playing...you just gotta do the best you can and learn from your experiences.
  19. I saw a friend of mine recently I was driving the V into a parking space at a local store. He's walking to the same store from further down the parking row, and was staring at my wheels. When I got out, he didn't realize it was my car. "Dude, what were you staring at?" I asked. He replied "Man, I don't know why but I love your brakes." There is something very sexy about some 4+ piston, fixed-caliper brakes. :megusta:
  20. I'd say if you're alive to type out a coherent review of your own skydive, it's a little but better of a jump than you're letting on
  21. I added moar CTS-V and got rid of most of the BMW for the track. :fuckyeah:
