  1. That is a hell of a good looker.
  2. http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2014/09/can-ocean-city-enforce-maryland-vehicle-laws-state-cars-well-theyre-gonna-try/ I got halfway through the article and realized OF COURSE this was written by Jack B. Poignant commentary on local police being wet blankets: I understand they are enforcing the laws they swore to uphold, but give it a break - especially for out-of-state drivers - once a year! I've told people at CC&C for the last 6 years that not everyone there likes the same auto trends as I do, but I'm willing to respect the passion. To Jack's point in the article: they may be mostly punk VW stance-kids, but they represent a bulk of the youngest members in our automotive culture...their "survival" helps make sure car shows and a robust aftermarket continues to thrive. I realize that the local enforcement is perfectly legal, but I hope H20 - and any other major auto event - never goes to Ocean City, MD again.
  3. Welcome, Mike! Glad you joined the site. It's been great chatting with you over the last few weeks. You'll definitely be an asset to the board.
  4. Well done, Wags! BTW, in Oglebay WV this weekend, out for next Saturday morning as well
  5. Awesome car. Love the mods. Are those SVO taillights? Agreed: I like the louvered taillights, but really nice to see some non-factory but still Ford tails.
  6. http://www.autoblog.com/2014/09/22/2015-chevy-colorado-gmc-canyone-fuel-economy-official/ While I wouldn't get one, I'm glad to see the platform is going to be a well-rounded truck. Looking forward to seeing a lot of these on the road. Well done offering a 6-speed manual transmission as well!
  7. Just by the stats, If he's going through those sorts of health issues it's going to be tough to maintain an independent lifestyle WITH in-home medical assistance...but not having any LTC insurance. I'd go bootstrap for the next few months if you want to hold out hope...but I agree 100% with Joe: make wise choices now to get him the help he needs (in the next several months) to maintain some semblance of normal life while still receiving needed medical care.
  8. I was trying to juxtapose two opposing concepts: 1) the complexity surrounding any SCCA event, with the hard time put in by many volunteers along with the infrastructure needed to create and maintain a competitive racing environment. 2) A blatent lack of respect for those - like yourself - that commit to the process and succeed in your endeavors. Furthermore, inplying that the only way to enjoy an autocross event is to haphazardly participate only when there is no fee nor requirement to volunteer your time. I wanted to explain my comment in post #13, since the internet is not a good filter for sarcasm and, indeed, Error 404: funneh may not have been found.
  9. Ryan, I think Tilley would much prefer that you shade him with a parasol the minute he steps out of the car. #PDiddyStyle http://www.digitalfrontiersuf.com/wp-content/images/fonzworth-69.jpg
  10. Is it free?!?! GO FUCK YO'SELF KALE...
  11. Scotty, you assume that we actually SPOKE to any of those fanbois, nor gave a shit what wiggles thinks... To Andy's point: 1) BYERS - not CC&C.com - coordinated a Jag reveal and a tie-in with the SCCA autoX. 2) CC&C.com and Wiggles Auto Entertainment megaphone'd the event. 3) Social media suck-ups attended. 4) You could count the number of fanbois that actually participated in the AutoX on one hand. 3000+ "theoretical" horsepower and didn't move an inch. Nearly everyone that participated at Byers AutoX started their morning at Cup O' Joe. :fuckyeah:
  12. Gotta respeckt the free Auto-X. Definitely enjoyed the event!
  13. Use code "100" from Howard Stern's Sirius channel and get a free bottle of deoderizer.
  14. Apologies. He traded it in at Krieger Ford for a 2003 F150 this week. Got $500 for it.
  15. I never met D.Wiggs before, but I saw him at the Byers autoX event today. He looks like he'd have a handshake like a dead fish. That Ferrari 458 is actually a very nice looking car. I don't know what "10-Pound Racing" refers to, but couldn't help but think there's a joke there about 10lbs of stuff in a 5lb car. That Murcie looks beat in person. Matte white finish is cracked around the doors and mirrors (assuming it is vinyl wrap) and the lower panels are a different shade of white altogether. I know it drove there, but I'd expect it would have more go since it's definitely lacking in the show department. Considering that I only saw a nice 2000's E-class AMG with a "CTD" windshield banner running AutoX, you'd think there would be some more of their stuff driving the course....
  16. I'm packing my helmet. See you guys at Lennox, then we can roll out at 11ish...
  17. People should realize that if you buy Alibaba stock, you're buying shares of their Cayman Islands holding entity. If something goes sour (which, since it's China it likely will), you'll have to sue the Cayman Islands entity, win, and then turn around and sue Alibaba in China. Good luck with that.
  18. Still... Automatic LOL. :gabe:
  19. Gotta say...less than $25k for a new, almost 300hp V6 with the same 8-speed automatic they put in the Audi A8, RWD sedan is a heck of a deal.
