  1. http://jalopnik.com/tom-magliozzi-host-of-car-talk-has-died-1654118951 I was just listening to them this weekend...really sad news. I would try my best to out-diagnose their recommendations to callers...which was fun because you never knew if you were right or wrong! RIP, and thank you for all the laughs. My thoughts with Ray and their families.
  2. I have two bike trailers for sale. Both in excellent condition and garage-kept. Trek GoBug single trailer - $150. Burley d'Elite (double) - $150. Google for pics. I'll try to add some this week. Thank you!
  3. Great article, Wags!
  4. In honour of Brian, I'll make the first post for him...pulled from Chatbox. I died laughing, so you should too.
  5. Find any unforeseen rust spots whilst taking this monster apart?

Maintain thick skin and you'll do alright. I'd comment on your G having a "4x4 stance", but I guess that's justified seeing as how it's an X model! Thank you for painting instead of plastidipping as well. VQ+test pipes+catback=yummy. IMHO, don't even bother with the headers until you solve for that equation. Welcome to the site!
  7. Welp, my SQQQ is in the tank. Guess it's only a loss if I sell. Here's to hoping for a correction!
  8. LOL. I won't lie...I was thinking of the EXACT same lyrics while reading this.
  9. Congratulations to Nickey for winning a dinner with Paul!
  10. Bingo. #whitewalls4life #ICPstickerOnAGrandMarquis
  11. He's also married w/ kid, so the little parts of him died on the outside as well.
  12. How about the rear? Is it solid?
  13. We are just assuming "08" is a reference to the year the vehicle is manufactured... But, with Paul's cunning lack of punctuation or full spelling, could it be a trick? Could the "v8" as he puts it merely indicate an empty can of vegetable juice amidst the pile of trash on the floor? THE GAME'S AFOOT... http://ts3.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.608025227507204190&pid=1.7
  14. Gotcha covered, Busta Dymes... http://www.japaneseclassicsllc.com/1989-honda-today-pgm-fi-kei-car-29k-original-miles-7495.html
  15. I'm looking to put Cleetus (1982 Ford F100 2WD - 6cyl/3spd manual) into winter duty and need to replace the tired, dry-rotted Pep Boys Futura tires anyway. I only put maybe 2-3k miles on the truck a year. Also, it's lowered so I need 60-series sidewalls on the front to avoid fender rubbing. Because of the limited miles and my focus on getting the best winter traction I can, does anyone use or recommend winter tires all year long? Was looking at some General Altimax Arctic's... I'm aware that the tires won't wear as long during summer months, and warm handling is different, but this is Cleetus I'm talking about here, and the tires on it now are horrendous rocks made from recycled Chinese sex toys.

  17. Posting for my neighbor... 112k miles. Silver/gray leather. Looks, runs, rides good. Winter tires and wheels. About $5200. A little rust above right rear wheel. Summer tires don't have much tread left. Pics available. Call/text John @ 614/537/8146
  18. Woman I am referring to is my insurance broker. I trust her. She knows the seller, communicated the car to me. Seller is a man. I don't know him. Please contact the seller directly.
  19. He didn't say stick shift...
  20. Did NOT sell...price lowered to $3,000.
  21. I went to Sonic on Saturday night...glad to see a few good people from CR and CC&C out, but there were an awful lot of screw-ups. Sad to see what should be a solid formula always go to crap (HD, Circuit City, Sonic...). I spoke to Scott, the older guy who set up Sonic through his commercial real estate contacts at Glimcher (he's the older guy with a 1963 Pontiac Grand Prix and a nice GTO). Of course he was lamenting the amount of trash/noise/trouble the event generates. I want to have an evening spot that's as calm as CC&C is, but I also realize that given the hangout occurs at night, you're going to get freaks and failures in the mix. Not sure what changes that. QS&L had some great meets on Friday evenings when the weather was warmer, but it was also earlier in the evening... Still glad to get out in the evenings when the weather and schedule allow it...just not as big of a fan of the vibe as it once was. You get a great spot, and within weeks you get crap that ruins it for everyone else. Maybe I'm just getting older. I figured with all the members we have, maybe we can establish a new group (outside of any FB page) or go somewhere else for 2015...

    Elio

It's not for sure...I'm just sayin' it's likely they'll die UNLESS they get the ATVM loan... Time will tell. I tip my hat to those who venture down this path. Seems like you need PayPal-founder money to make stuff happen in the world today...

    Elio

http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/2014/10/elio-motors-applies-185-million-dept-energy-atvm-loan/ Welp...I'm calling it... If Elio doesn't score this gubmint loan, they're as good as Carbon Motors or the Aptera.
