  2. With the depressing morning turning into a heck of a fall-like afternoon (thanks, Ohio weather!) I'm feeling like a cruise... I missed the CR event @ QS&L last night because of a prior engagement: is Sawmill CC the only decent gathering? Anyone meeting at QS&L or elsewhere?
  3. I only learned a few years ago that German U-boats were this close to American shores during WWII. Very interesting to see U.S. divers able to video and catalogue these shipwrecks. http://news.discovery.com/history/videos/archaeology-divers-plumb-depths-for-u-boats.htm
  4. From that Google Map, it looks like there are a number of vehicles in the back, behind the barn. Does someone fix up wrecks and resells them???
  5. Sorry for not coming out, but I'm glad to hear that it went as well as it sounds! Ohio rain...it's a bish for car peeps.
  6. I've got 40+hrs and 2.5 years towards my private pilot's license. It's a passion, not a product you can just buy in a box: time commitment, classwork, studying, etc... If you really want to be a pilot, you wouldn't be asking this question. (no disrespect, jus'sayin...) Prioritize.
  7. Keep up the hard work, brotaco!
  8. Looking forward to getting home to watch this! I was on their YouTube channel just after midnight, and it said "every fourth Friday". Got sadpanda thinking this was the third Friday of September. I is bank3r...I's good at the maths. EDIT: Aahhhh...I love ROADKILL
  9. http://nypost.com/2013/09/20/parents-want-to-sue-former-nfler-for-outing-their-hard-partying-brats/ http://www.helpmesave300.com RESPECKT to this man for trying to do it right...
  10. The BMW has a few dents... Are these paintless? I'll make time for this event. Thanks, Joe!
  11. If there was a building big enough...why not have a very small indoor racetrack for real cars? I mean, would people pay for an old warehouse that's 65 degrees in the dead of winter so they could race a Spec Miata series all through the off-season?
  12. Congrats, Wags! Get some of those other shirt ideas on the site to buy!!! I saw another one: KEEP CALM and NEVER LIFT http://www.keepcalm-o-matic.co.uk/p/keep-calm-and-never-lift-1/
  13. What the fuck do YOU know about tires....DEREK?!?!1!? Can someone else get this hack outta mah thread?
  14. I've got a set of slotted aluminum wheels that I'm looking to put on Cleetus. This would be combined with the lowered DJM "Dream Beam" front I-beams I got earlier this year before my hausfire. We're looking to move back in soon and I'm jonesing to complete some garage projects. The wheels are old-skool 15x9s all around, and with Cleetus being 2WD and a lowered front end I'd like to do a staggered-size tire set, with OWL/RWL sidewalls. However, understandably, most of the tires I find in a 15", wide-rubber profile are RADIAL T/A's or something like that: more street/strip than truck-traction. Is there a heavier-tread set of tires (think Goodyear Wrangler AT-S) that still can be found with a 50- to 65-series sidewall?

  16. http://www.autoblog.com/2013/09/19/2014-jeep-cherokee-review-first-drive/#continued Apparently, it's a decent driver...on- and off-road.
  17. Thanks guys. Between recommendations on here, and my wife who had outdoor cats in UA when she was growing up (with a few horror stories to boot), I'm backing away from the idea. I simply won't allow a cat in our house, and I don't want to introduce the option by bringing an "outdoor" cat that may get "upgraded" at some point. Appreciate the input.
  18. I have these on my wife's Odyssey and it is an awesome tire. GLWS.
  19. I was at last week for 30 seconds, and saw a cool GT40-looking car and others I hadn't seen before. Nothing in the Pics section was updated since September 7th, I thought... ...and YES, I do Facebook, BREAUX...when my wife lets me log onto her account...
  20. Welcome to the site! Hit up your FP question in the Tech section; you'll definitely get more visibility that way...
  21. If anyone has some recent shots from Cars and Coffee, please feel free to post them up. I'm looking to add some additional shots to the website/Facebook page. Thanks!
  22. THINGS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT DAT 740: - Is "D'Gree" pH-balanced for a woman? Has he in fact earned any sort of diploma? - Is "Big Mung" short for Mongo? If you're going to show off a ring, can the cameraman stay on his fist until I can actually read it? Otherwise, Mr. Mung should invest in a more legible ring. - "Random" confuses me. He's an out-of-shape white guy sitting on a front stoop in Southern Ohio. Sounds not entirely "random" at all. I'd call him "Common", but there is already a far more accomplished rapper with that name. - If I have to "cop a case" there, do I really want to know about dat 740? Sounds kinda slim-shady... - I'm happy to have made acquaintances with Big Mung, D'Gree and Random...can someone please introduce me to the rest of those river ruffians dancing around the video? - If you were to describe "dat 740" to someone unfamiliar to the area, would this be the sales video? Reminds me of ye olde "Hastily Made Cleveland Tourism Video"
  23. Oddly enough...exactly one year later... Board meeting was tonight, and bus maintenance was once again brought up. In addition to shops (Thanks to Rick for Skip's Service Center on McKinley...) would also like anyone who can do some servicing on-location at the church if possible. Thanks again, CR!
