  1. I'll just leave this here... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2415191/Global-cooling-Arctic-ice-caps-grows-60-global-warming-predictions.html I'm not saying the average temperature isn't rising, or sea levels going up as well... but this sort of news further supports my stance that there are far greater forces acting on the Earth that supercede human activity (solar activity, volcanic eruptions, etc...) Dick's cuss...
  2. I know someone that works at battelle. why?
  3. Welcome to the site!
  4. I have a close family friend who is looking for a reputable shop that will help maintain her late husbands '62 Corvette until her son is old enough to drive it. Looking for a shop or well-known Corvette individual that I can feel comfortable recommending. Specifically, there is a broken brake line right now. I would ask through Corvetteforum, but they may have purged my user id since I haven't logged in in a few months...
  5. Amazing work, Max! i love that it looks like you can load stuff into the attic using ramps from the top of the hill to the back opening of the garage. The area reminds me of my high school days in Niskayuna. That's a beautiful area you're living in now.
  6. What is the manufacturer/model?
  7. I'm going to take the wifey up to check out QS&L tonight. See you guys there!
  8. You might as well post up the article of how the NYPD was able to find this guy and arrest him...
  9. 'MURICA. http://jalopnik.com/this-woman-used-oprahs-pontiac-to-finance-her-dreams-1263734275 Props to this woman for doing something truly great with Oprah's gift.:thumbup: Start-up Retail Business selling through Macy's > 2006 Pontiac G6.
  10. It faces west, and we would like to get as much sunlight as we can, as we've finished that room in the basement and want the kids to play in it. The amount of afternoon sunlight down there now is amazing; for being a cold, dark basement for the past 52 years, now you can be down there without turning on a light. Therefore, any landscaping will be low, like some small hostas. Any thoughts to polycarbonate or plexiglas? Something custom, maybe with a couple of bars across the middle to provide some support if you step on it?
  11. Fortin wants to charge me a few hundred for the grate. Zoinks, scoob! At this point I'd be inclined to get some angle iron and metal grating...AND BUY MYSELF A WELDER. Paid for in full with the first job! Ugh...perish the thought...
  12. I put some Firestone Destinations (RWL :fuckyeah:) on my wifes' Odyssey to replace the factory Michelins and they have been some of the nicest tires to drive on. Great grip in emergency avoidance maneuvers, quiet, great ride, and they wear really well. Got them for a great price on TireRack, IPS put them on earlier this year.
  13. 2011 Odyssey EX-L checking in... Awesome van, got it with 33k miles. Now has 58k+miles, maintenance done at Roush Honda and it's been awesome. I will say that there was a wierd power steering issue when I bought it, but the PS pump was replaced for free and not a problem since. No other repairs, but for such a big van and I routinely drive @ 80mph and up, the brakes are going to need to be replaced. If I were buying again, the Hyundai Entourage/Kia Sedonas are actually really good. I'd look at a Caravan/Routan if it was Pentastar 3.6 powered. The Honda's/Toyota's just command too much money.
  14. Will try to make it... WEATHER PERMITTING
  15. Didn't he cop a plea deal to avoid the death penalty? For the unborn babies he killed by beating some of the girls? *INSERT TOMBSTONE "Well...bye." .GIF HERE*
  16. Just teach Twila to drive the Saab. Problem solved. http://cdn.theatlantic.com/static/mt/assets/food/dirving%20dog%20615%20x1.jpg
  17. As part of my home remodel, my wife and I had an egress window installed at the front of our house. The opening is appx 46" by 44", surrounded by capstone pavers. Fortin Ironworks wants a flippin' fortune to make a metal grate. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=693&pictureid=7300 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=693&pictureid=7299 Ideally, we want as much light to come in as we can. I'd like to have a metal grid ( without a plexiglas cover) that could support the errant footstep or rodent...it's a decent fall. Any suggestions for someone that can do this would be GRATE. (/horatio)
  18. Cody, when my wife and I fostered Weimaraners pre-kids, I got a purple faux-velour/velvet, hoochie-mama tribal-tattoo/butterflies bench seat cover at Wal*Mart for the same reason: it kept the hair, nail-scratches, and slip-sliding 80+lb dogs off of my leather seat. For $20, I didn't care what it looked like, and it fit the bill perfectly. Sheeeeit...if it was good enough to give teen-mom Briana a washable surface to get railed on by her multiple boyfriends in the backseat of her Cavalier, I figured it would be durable to hold up to dog wear-n-tear. I was right.
  19. I take one of my Ops assistants to Cane's every week. I've learned to control my appetite to a Caniac that I eat half at lunch, then take the rest home and eat it for dinner. (It's usually catch-as-catch-can at mah haus:lol:). Sweet tea is almost TOO sweet, so I do half-n-half with unsweetened tea mixed in. I've heard a couple of stories about bad experiences, but with Cane's I don't believe the haters: been there so many times I've lost count and the food is always top-notch.

  21. Who was that man... ...and why must I mimic DAT VOICE at every opportunity until the day I die? AND YOU, SIR... ARE YOU WAITING TO... RECEIVE MY LIMP PENIS?!?!? Needless to say, I LOL'd until tears ran down my cheeks...
  22. Gotta say, I was never that into drifting, but that was very enjoyable to watch. Makes perfect sense, to treat Drift Shifters like a huge pinball machine with the precision scoring that a well-engineered electronics/sensor array can provide. Definitely a fan...minus the skateboarder flat-brim hats. F**king punk drivers.
  23. I rike you...you make me raff! http://product-images.highwire.com/1098329/1505197.jpg
  24. All that work....and they put the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car. SHITTY SHOP :gabe: Did I read the trunk lid correctly: "Slick Ricky Bobby"? Awesome car...I just hate the graffiti graphics randomly placed on the quarter panels.
