wtt: My Riding Lawnmower for your Pushmower
zeitgeist57 replied to zeitgeist57's topic in Other Stuff
Briggs&Stratton "Gold Class" 15hp (iron cylinder sleeve), 6speed tranny with a SLOOOOOOOOW reverse (so it's not good for snow removal). It's a well-engineered monster, but the deck just got abused by the roots from my 60yr old trees. If I could find a decent deck and new arbors, I'd keep the mower. However, I'd rather not search for that crap...just want a push mower. -
Tim, that's awesome to hear. I just wanted to personally invite his group out to Cars and Coffee. I discovered their club online over the winter and it's been itching in my brain to connect with those guys... If you have a chance to talk to Pat, feel free to give him my number. I know you have it! Hope the "conversation" today goes well! Txt me later... I <3 CR.

Yes. ...and that's about all the answer one can give you without more info on what you are looking to do!

I have a 1994 Craftsman II Riding Lawn Mower. It's pretty banged up but has served me well over the last 4 years. Late last year, One of the arbor bearings took a crap and It won't mow. It'll start up and drive like a champ, but needs a new deck. I'd say it's worth $100-$150 for the engine and associated parts that work. Would need a couple hundy in used parts to get back to good. After 4 years, I actually WANT to go back to pushing a mower...did a bit last fall when my neighbor let me borrow his mower. Realized I could use the exercise. If there is a good, hands-on guy out there that wants to take this bad boy and give me their push mower, I'm open to that. Let me know what ya got.

What? Club Lexus can't field a group of attendees on their own?
-
I referenced this group in my Cars and Coffee thread...I would love to see some old-school hot rods and kustoms show up this season! roaddevils.com - I respect that they hold true to being a face-to-face club, instead of being just an internet forum. I registered, but haven't posted cuz the Admin hasn't approved me yet. Patrick Brown is the Club President, and lives in Lewis Center. A few of the guys (from what I've seen) are Central Ohio/Z'ville/Dayton peeps. Does anyone know this car club and the local members? Where they meet? Just curious to learn more about them. Too bad my F100 is an '82...if it was pre-1965 I'd be a shoo-in!

Thanks for the coverage on other car forums, guys! If anyone knows Patrick Brown or the Road Devils (roaddevils.com), tell them to show up. We need some old-skool metal out at CC&C!!!

Cummins/6-speed manual FTMFW. Avoid Dodge automatics.

I'm wearing a shirt right now that says: Practice safe hot dog eating...use condiments! hotdogdiner.com My folks from Euclid brought it down last weekend. No, I don't wear it in public.

I know you're not talking to me... NERK

Thank you for being a friend... Travel down the road and back again... Your heart is true; you're a pal and a confidant. And if you threw a party... i-i-i-invited everyone you knew... You would see the biggest gift would be from me... And the card attached would say: "THANK YOU FOR BEING A FRIEND"

That was better than the original. LMFAO EAD-n-DIAF.

Mark, many thanks BTW. The homepage video gets a noticable amount of compliments from people that visit the site! You sound like LaNasa: upset about how "crappy" you think your old work looks. Gotta love that KAIZEN mentality! I still need to do a whole new website by April 30th; I refuse to pay Microsoft for their webhosting/publishing. I'd like to include a Pic/Vid section where people can post their OWN pictures and videos: like being able to register and getting your own section on the site, populate it with all the car pics/vids you'd like. Still gotta figure out that one, however...

^^^This, and the back reminds me of the aliens in "District 9". Is that supposed to be an LED third brake light in the uterus? Looks like a terrible aftermarket addon. NOTHXKBYE. If I'm spending that much caish on a car, I want the pipes to glow red and bark flames errtime I downshift. <3 AVENTADOR

I wouldn't even bother with a muffler if I didn't already have the glasspack on the truck. The engine ran alright before the rebuild, and made more noise out of the leaky manifold-to-downpipe joint than what came out of the glasspack! Allthough, I'm just realizing it also had the catalytic converter too...that may have muffled the sound a bit...DEFINITELY not reusing that! UPDATE: Aside from the engine work - and waiting for parts that should all be in my garage this week - I blasted the front subframe and radiator core support with rubberized undercoating. Aside from having a slight brownish tint in bright sunlight, this was good stuff! The backhalf of the frame is still solid, but a lot more surface rust. Gonna have to use stronger stuff to recoat the frame and axle (and possibly bed bottom!) I have decided to lower the truck on the cheap! Cut springs in the front, flipped front shackle/hanger in the rear. The truck won't get used enough for me to worry about tire wear that much, so there really isn't any other reason why I shouldn't do this: cheap, easy to do, retains most of the suspension geometry, still gets it lower! If I do have to replace tires, they are 215-75-R15...can't get much cheaper or readily available to buy! I will do the suspension mods shortly after getting the engine/tranny in. Since I'll need to lengthen the driveshaft a bit and have a slip-joint installed, I want to get the rear hanger flipped so I can accurately measure pinion-to-pinion distance. Might not be that big of a difference, but the flip should be relatively easy to do. For now, I'm going to keep the body "PATINA'd"...much to the happiness of most CR peeps! By the time I get the engine/transmission in, broken-in, and a new driveshaft done, it'll be April and I'll hopefully be without Cleetus III. I'll just enjoy driving the Ford and then figure out body work in the fall.

There is a Y-pipe coming in da mail...single exhaust dumping out the side. May even try to booger-weld the old glasspack for now! Yeah, the Alternator and starter are really grimy, but both still have Motorcraft stamped on the bodies, and tested fine at Advance Auto. I'm guessing they are original parts, so I'm going to keep them until they croak.

The guys will tell you...my beloved 3yr old daughter has about an hour shelf-life at CC&C when she's not driving her Jeep!

Just googled Hardbody and found ones with Pathfinder Armada/Infiniti QX56 wheels. Titties-n-beer.

Six-lug? I've seen GMC/Chevy SUV wheels look good on a Hardbody...same bolt pattern as the Envoy/Trailblazer. Maybe SS rims?
